2021 has been a year of immense changes globally as well as here at the Woodwell Climate Research Center. Climate change has shifted from a future phenomenon to a present day reality, and the jury is still out as to whether individuals, businesses and governments will move quickly and aggressively enough to avert the worst consequences of climate change. Against this backdrop, the work of Woodwell Climate has never been more important. We must do more, and we must move quickly. I personally feel this urgency, as does our rapidly growing staff. Fortunately, Woodwell Climate is strong and we're up to the challenge. We'll forge ahead with increased energy and ambition, doing everything we can to chart a course to a sustainable future. Thank you for everything you do to help us. Together, we'll meet the challenges and seize new opportunities. On behalf of everyone here at Woodwell Climate, I wish you a happy and healthy new year.
