Tony Stark Policci broke his 90-day wellness streak after poor sleep and a headache. He describes the battle between wanting to stay in bed and forcing himself up, then catching a peaceful sunrise before landscaping noise ruins it. His strategy: deliberately ignore feeling sick, smile anyway, and manage his mind.

You know, throughout this 90-day stretch, I haven't had a day where I felt unwell. At least I can't remember having one. Today is different. I did not sleep good, and I woke up with a pounding headache, so something is not right in my, in my body. I don't know if it's something that I ate, or, or what it is, but, you know, all I really want to do is just stay in bed, and that doesn't work for me. Like, I have to be really, really sick in order to just stay in bed because my brain will not allow me to rest. I'm always thinking about, you know, what is there to do, and You know, I honestly, like, sitting here thinking about this, I don't know if I've always been like that or if it's just recent years because of the amount of circumstances in my life right now that require attention and time. So the last 30 minutes has been about just adjusting my mindset and my attitude to take on the challenge challenges of the day. I did go sit in the morning sunlight and I tried to capture a video out there, but the landscapers came around the corner and were buzzing with not only lawn mowers but weed trimmers, and it was just a cacophony of sound. So it was a little bit comical. For one minute I was like sitting there taking in the sunrise and it was all super peaceful and the next minute it was like, "Ahh!" So, anyway, the only reason I share that is because, two reasons. Number one, I had a really beautiful view behind me for you. And number two, sometimes in life our peace is disrupted, right? So I get to move forward. I get to figure out how to go through the day and get everything that I have on my plate done with the additional challenge of not feeling great. So one of the things that I do try though, I say try, and it's not like trying this, maybe I'll do it, maybe I won't, it's, it's a technique. And that is to not pay attention to feeling sick, right? Not pay attention to feeling unwell, to really focus on, you know, like other things. So, you know, today I'll be intentional to smile and just manage my mind. And, you know, in many, many ways I overcome the the physical manifestations of not feeling great, right? It's no different than managing our mind, controlling what we think about. So it will be more challenging for me today. I just recognize that from the past because how I feel physically and mentally really impacts my attitude and my emotions. So, something for me to be aware of today. And I also realize that I am sorely behind on updating the— my videos, like the descriptions of things. I've just been posting. So, maybe by the time you watch this, you will have noticed that. Maybe by the time you watch this, I will have corrected it. Either way, there is— there is so much on my plate right now that the things that aren't absolutely essential are getting pushed. So, ah, now we have landscapers coming down this way. More sounds of things being maintained, which is wonderful. And sometimes you just wish you could hear the birds sing, at least I do. So, all right, once again I am babbling and rambling and not giving you any real valuable information, so if you stuck around this long just to listen to me, God bless you. Hope you have an amazing day, and I'll talk to you next time.
