Hey everyone. Welcome to Feed you'd Brand celebration of International Women's Day. I'm Tracy Hazzard and I'm the co host of Feed you'd Brand. I co host that with my partner and husband Tom Hazzard and today I'm going solo because he's away at a trade show, but also because today's Women's Day. So we thought woman to woman, we're just gonna get sit down and talk to some great women today. I've got Christy Whitman, Juliette Clark, Carolyn Rivera, Dr. Marissa Pay, Issa Tahis, Lillian Walker, Aliyah Ava, Dr. Liz Hafer, Jennifer Ford Berry, Penny Zanker, Phoebe Marochek, and Stephanie Lahart today. And all of them are women podcasters. I all happen to show producers because some of them do video as well. So I'm so lucky to get to work with an amazing group of women and I put out a email blast to my entire client base and said, hey, here we are at Potitize. We support your brands and we support you and I'd love to give you a promotional opportunity, a chance for me to talk about you and how can we do that best for International Women's Day. Let me just do an interview and I'm going to do livestream all day today. And so I'm on a little bit of marathon livestream. I wished I could have gone all day, but unfortunately real life happens to us women, right? And so I'm a mom and I am now going solo because Tom's away at a trade show. He's away at podfest, one of the biggest podcast trade shows. And so he's away and he's also taken Alexandra, and Alexandra is my daughter who is also our COO of our company, Brancasters and Potties, which many of you know. And so they're away, which means I don't have a backup. I'm really doing the solo mom thing and it's so infrequent in my life that I have to do solo things like this. So we just make it do. So today I'm running from 9:30 to 5pm and I'm going to run episodes, and I got a little break in there so I can eat a little something. But other than that, I'm going to just run and do as many episodes as I can. And I was so glad when all of our podcasters just, like, signed up so quickly because I want women to reach out and promote themselves because it is so hard sometimes to get women to go and push their message out into the world and be promotional about it. But. But the ones of you that are, you guys are being successful, you're really putting your message out there, but you're putting your service out there. You're putting a service first mindset out there. And I love that about the group of women that I get to work with every single day. So I'm really happy to highlight you and so proud that you're all in my life and in my business and in my world. It makes things so much better, makes my job easy, but it makes me passionate about getting to get up today and talk to all of you. I mean, I couldn't wait for that.
So, anyway, there's also this theme going on. So International Women's Day has an organization, and it's a worldwide organization that is putting this out there, and they are creating a opportunity for women to be highlighted. And so they've created mini events, and we registered to be an event and to run this today to highlight women in podcasting. But they've asked us for this theme called Balance is Better, and they asked everybody to do like, I can't really do it on. I can't really do it on camera because I have to hold my arms up. But you're supposed to hold your arms out and hold it like that, like you're holding the scales. The thing is that Balance for Better is not my thing. I didn't choose that. And so I added Life and Harmony as a hashtag for us. And I just wanted to explain that really quickly. So you're going to hear me say this again over the course of the day, but I don't believe in balance. I believe that balance is just bull. Like, it's not possible in this world to have balance. It's not sustainable. You can do it momentarily, and it's amazing. When something is balanced, like balancing an egg or balancing on pointe or any of those things are absolutely amazing. Balancing in a yoga pose, Right, Amazing. But it's not sustainable. And I want to do things that are absolutely repeatable and sustainable in my life because I want to be able to do it again and again. If I loved It, I want to do it again and again. I don't look at my life as being in balance. I look at it as being in harmony. And that's something really critical to how I put myself out there. How we put all of our podcasts and shows out there. And what we do is we're looking at this harmonious creation of highlighting someone else, then highlighting what we have to say, then bringing on somebody different and somebody with a different perspective, somebody with a deep sound, somebody with a high sound. Like we're trying to mix all of that up so that we can get to this place where everybody can shine, where we can shine as a group, where we can shine as an orchestra. And to me, like, some of my favorite musical groups of all times are like, the Eagles, Crosby, Stills and Nash, the Indigo Girls, right? Really, like, obviously also dating myself at this moment in time, as I'm telling you all this. But these are some of the things that I love to listen to. Why? Because it's difficult to do harmony, right? Because you have to get cooperation. You have to get things going on. You have to have collaboration going on in that. And so when we can live in a world of coopetition, as my friend Scott Carson calls it, or constant collaboration, right? When we can live in that, then we can live a harmonious life. And I look at my daily life as harmonious. I have my husband who gets the kids off to school, and my daughter will run and do pickup when I'm not available so that I can shine and do more things like do more videos or skip our lunch for Tom's birthday that happened this year so that I can be on the Larry King Show. It's just stuff like that that happens that we allow each other within the process and we don't require the self sacrifice. We support each other in our goals and where we're going because we're all in this. We're all creating beautiful music together.
So that's what I'm really hoping I can get across to you. Today on International Women's Day is just really getting that across to everyone, that that's where we are. Let's live a life in harmony. That if balance is what you're looking for and your definition of balance is different than my definition of balance, then that's fine and goal for balance for better. But let's really highlight each other and let's grow each other. And it's really important because so often we don't tend to grow ourselves, right? We don't do enough promotion. So here I am. That's what I'm bringing today. That's what I wanted to highlight and what I wanted to share with you. So thank you so much for listening. Thank you so much for watching. Those of you who watch this on Facebook, thank you for sharing all of that with me. And we'll be resharing this. We'll be reposting this. We'll be putting this through our whole system that we utilize at Brantcaster. Sympathize. So this will be blog posts, it will be videos, it will be on YouTube, it will be on our website. It will show you all of the great things and all of the things that we try to do to make sure that you can be seen, heard, found in all of the great places across it so that your business can grow. So thank you again, and Happy International Women's Day.
