Tracy Hazzard explains why podcast content calendars matter for consistency and engagement. She walks through her planning approach and how to keep spontaneity alive while staying organized, then invites listeners to a live coaching call on the topic.
Attention, Feed youd Brand fans. Tracy's got a sneak peek at what's coming up in our next live stream.
I'm almost afraid to tell you this week's topic. I'm afraid you're going to go, oh no, Tracy, that's so boring. I don't want to hear about content calendars, right? Doesn't that sound like, oh, I have to plan. I'd love to plan. It's actually my superpower. Tom not so much. He does not love to plan, but a content calendar can be really useful for keeping everybody aligned with where you're going for the week, the month, how you want to approach it. It can make podcasting less agonizing. It can make it less daunting. It can keep things on track and keep it simple for yourself. Now, I am a big planner. I set out at the beginning of each year and plan out 52 weeks. Not everybody wants to do it, but keep in mind that I just do a rough plan in 52 weeks, and then I do it month by month by month. So I do break it down smaller. And that's what we're really going to talk about in our coaching call and future brand episode today. We're gonna, or this week, that's what we're going to talk about. We're going to talk about how content calendars can really add something, how this planning and scheduling can really actually magnify the results that you get from the content itself. When you're doing it ad hoc, it's great when you're just doing it off the cuff, and it's great to do that improv. But when I can't count on you to provide me something that's of value week over week over week, or it's hit or miss, because sometimes it's something I'm interested in, sometimes it's not, or sometimes you're on topic and sometimes you're not, that can be difficult for your listeners to continue to follow you and stay aligned with where your show is going. So some amount of planning can be really good. I'm gonna talk about my model for it, and Tom's gonna talk about his model for it because, you know, I told you he didn't love planning. So there's a way around which we can do both together. We can have a plan and we can also inject some spontaneity into it. And that's really what we're gonna talk about on Future Brand, the Coaching Call. Join us live and get more about how content planning can be something worthwhile for you.
