Do you notice how your mind keeps going even when the day is technically over?" (published 2026-02-10). The excerpt is a single-speaker monologue (labeled SPEAKER A) discussing persistent mental rumination, overworking of the mind after work hours, responsibility and expectations we carry from others, and how to release those expectations to allow the brain to rest. The content appears to be a short talk or self-help/reflection piece on mindfulness and work-life boundaries.

You don't necessarily have a busy mind because you think too much. You have a busy mind because your brain is always constantly working on overtime. Because what it's doing is it's replaying something that you did earlier, something that you wish you would have done better, something that you would have done maybe differently. And at the same time, it's also looking ahead and figuring out, well, how can I make sure that thing doesn't happen again? Even when you know you you have physically left work, so many of us have chaotic minds that are still on, and it's like you're still at work. See, a lot of people bring work home not necessarily because they love their job so much, it's because they think they didn't do enough, well enough. What this looks like is they're ruminating on what happened during the day. Where did I drop the ball? What could I have handled differently? What did I miss? See, and when you believe you're responsible for holding it all together, you're responsible for projects, you're responsible for outcomes, you're responsible for people, how can your mind even shut off? Because your mind thinks, because we've trained it, that if we stay vigilant, if we stay on, then we're ready to handle anything that, that's thrown our way. So the question today that I began asking myself is not just how can I turn my brain off? The question is how can I release the expectations that I have been living by from other people that keep my brain going? What expectations are you still carrying that don't even belong to you?
