Taking back your personal power, part 2. Where in your life are you leaking personal power and what can you do about it? You see, it's my belief that no one can make us feel anything that we don't agree to feel. We have to sign up and give people permission. We give people this type of permission which gives them control over us. We give them the direct control of our thermostat. Our metaphorical thermostat, and where your thermostat is set, the results will occur accordingly. How do we reset our thermostats from a total place of control? Well, first thing in the morning, choose to fill— to fuel your cup, whether that's with prayer, meditation, journaling, gratitude work, exercise, whatever fills you up. And when I mean feel you up, feel you up, like, so where you can feel empowered, you feel energetic, you just feel good. And if you're calculating it on a scale of 1 to 10, you're close to a 10. Sometimes you might be a 10. I find a 10 to be a lot of work to stay there, so I like to aim for like an 8.5, 9. And then you memorize, you get familiar with that present state, that essence, so that you know exactly when you fall out of it. And when you fall out of it, there are symptoms like check engine lights in your car that notify you that something has gone wrong, something is about to go wrong, that you are no longer in homeostasis where you feel balanced, in control, where everything is running as it's supposed to be. Your check engine lights can be anything that tells your brain that something is wrong, like you don't feel safe, you don't feel accepted, you don't feel loved, you feel threatened. It can be pressure in your chest and stomach. It can be a not in your stomach. You know, sometimes I have tight shoulders and a tight jaw, and, and my back is real tense. My breathing becomes rapid and shallow. My heart rate speeds up. Sometimes I even sweat. Now, all of these symptoms vary from person to person, right? But the moment that you realize you don't feel as good as you did this morning when you filled your cup, observe your check engine lights. Observe the pattern of reaction that takes place as an automatic reaction. Like a program running in the background. Now you have awareness of how you work and what happens in your body in an autopilot kind of way. You should know by now your check engine lights and how you work. In the next video, I will share with you what to do when your check lights actually go off.
