Why I got into life coaching. In 2017, I had one of the most profound conversations I'd ever had, like, with my mother. And I asked her what was it that she was most proud of in her life because she had lived to be 85. And my mother didn't have many answers for that. She just said, you know, my 5 kids. But other than that, she began to list off all the regrets that she had in her life, how she didn't do this and she didn't do that. And so after that conversation, my mother died 6 months later. And I firmly believe that my mother took her last breath with regret. And so the reason why I decided to get into coaching was because I had that proverbial profound moment of, is this as good as it gets? Am I living up to my potential? My 5th grade teacher, Ms. Godin, was the one who helped me to see that I was smart, that I could do great things, that she empowered and inspired me to be the best that I could be. And for 24 years, I did that as a high school teacher. And then I just recognized I was no longer satisfied. I wasn't challenged anymore, and I wasn't helping people on a bigger scale. So I hired my own life coach, and then everything for me really changed. I really saw all the potential in my life. I really saw the next level that I could achieve, and I wanted to help more people do that. I wanted to help more of my people, more women, more people who are settling in their life. I wanted to help them see that this was a choice, and so that's why I got into coaching.
