Everybody's talking about goals, goals, goals, right? Because 2021 is right around the corner. And because 2021 is right around the corner, generally we don't want to take the same things that we were doing in 2020 and just extend them into next year, right? We want to set new goals. But before we even start setting goals, I want to talk briefly about the person you need to be in order to accomplish those things. So really quickly, I want to talk about self-concept, confidence. As someone, as a coach who works works with clients to help them achieve massive confidence in a short amount of time. I always believe that confidence is your ability to figure things out because you have the confidence in yourself to work through that. Now, let's differentiate between self-concept and your self-image. So there's a way that you think about yourself. Sometimes we think we're not strong enough in this category, you know, we're not, we're not strong enough, you know, when we're interacting with someone, when we're doing a presentation. Or maybe we're thinking just the opposite, that we know we have this, we know we've got this, we've got things all figured out. But maybe there's a disconnect between your self-concept of how the world sees you, how you think your coworkers see you, how you think your friends, the world, right? How can we begin to narrow that gap that helps you to become a better version of who you are? As a Reinvent You Coach, I work with my clients nonstop about who is it that you need to become in order to accomplish the big goals that you have. So I just want you to start taking some inventory in these next couple of weeks before 2021 actually strikes on the clock. Take that inventory and figure out what are the dangerous habits and mindsets that you want to leave, that you don't want to carry into 2021. And then what are the nice, the believe, you know, the ones that you can believe in, the ones that make you hopeful and optimistic. I believe that there's no greater day in the year, if we're to choose one day in the year, than January 1st, where we're filled with more hope and more optimism. So let's go into 2021 prepared, amped up, you know, but before we do that, you have to start taking inventory of who you are in 2020 and who you want to be. How are we going to replace those characteristics so that you can better achieve your goals that you set out for yourself? So tomorrow on the next podcast episode, I will dive deeper in what dangerous thoughts and actions decisions you don't want to take in 2021.
