Zen12 Meditation Review - Why I love Zen12 Meditation for relaxation and creativity

Trev tried Zen12, a 12-minute meditation app using theta-wave tones, for five days. He reported emotional release, reduced anxiety, sharper creativity (new comedy and screenplay ideas), clearer focus, and less back pain. He's now using it daily and recommends the free trial.

Hi, my name is Trev and I'm from The Nutrition Revolution, and I am bringing to you a video today about Zen 12 meditation, um, audios, I guess you could call them. So, uh, about 10 years ago I got involved in the Holosync thing, um, that was to sort of help with my anxiety and to promote a meditative state within me. And then, uh, recently something came up and holosync was mentioned again. And then this guy introduced me to Zen 12. And what really— what I really liked about Zen 12 was literally their catchphrase is that you can achieve an hour's meditation in 12 minutes. So I was really, really curious about this because, um, my experience with meditation quite recently had been that there's a lot of chatter in my mind. It took me a long time for it to actually quiet down, and almost by the time it quietened down, it was time to stop the meditation. And it wasn't really having a knock-on effect in my life. It wasn't— I wasn't feeling any karma or any sort of massive benefit from it. I suppose the only benefit I had was I was taking a little bit of time out, um, and just, you know, just like a little rest, I suppose. Uh, but I guess in my head there's always like, oh, this is taking ages. And I think because I was using a guided meditation as well that's getting used to the words, starting to preempt the words, starting to think about the words. I mean, you get the idea, right? So I wanted something that was quick, and I wanted something that was— it didn't take a lot of effort. So I started listening to Zen 12 at the beginning of this week, and it's really nice. It's really nice. I do drop into a very, very peaceful relaxed state very, very quickly. They use isochronic tones, and isochronic tones are theta waves. They put your brain into a theta wave state, which is a state of deep meditation. And then it's just like, okay, have I just listened to a complete load of garbage that somebody created on a keyboard, or does it actually have any benefits? So here's what happened, and I really encourage you to at least download the free trial and to give it a go on the free one. I mean, I'm gonna upgrade because you upgrade and it's not a huge amount of money. They give you like $50 off, so it's like $39 or something for 12 meditations, which I think is really, really good value as well. Yeah, it's interesting because what they say is that if you're an experienced meditator Then, you know, probably you could start about level 6 or 7. That's where it starts to get hardcore, you know. So I'm quite interested to listen to those, and probably my head will explode or fall off or something. Yeah, so as you can tell, I'm pretty irreverent about this stuff. I think there's a chip in my head that says everything is a scam. It just takes like a little bit of marketing for me to part with my money, but some really, really interesting things have happened with my— with me. Okay, so the first thing is I haven't been doing anything else. Like this is the only product I've been using this week. And then on the Tuesday, so I started on a Monday, on the Tuesday I started getting really emotional. There were a lot of things happening that I was having trouble dealing with and I started getting really emotional and I remember just feeling like I'm gonna cry, like I just felt this emotion welling up within me. I thought, okay, so I had a little cry. And by the way, if you do have a little cry, that's brilliant because that's like releasing emotion. That's really cool. That's really good. It's like a shower for the soul, I suppose you could call it. And yeah, so I thought, okay, well, I'll carry on with it. I did a bit of research. I sort of typed into Google, does meditation make you cry? And a lot of people said yes, it can do. It's like a release, you know, it's like an energetic release that happens and it's completely normal and it's good and it's beneficial. So day 3, I'm listening and I'm feeling very peaceful and I'm enjoying it. I'm thinking this is great. And then a really interesting thing starts to happen. Creativity— creatively I start to wake up to a few of the ideas that I've had recently, and but not in a vague fuzzy way, in a very focused, imaginative, beautiful way. And I start to have these ideas come in that make a lot of sense to me, and creatively as well, because I'm into a lot of creative stuff, my acting and comedy and my screenwriting and things like that. I'm like, normally I look at things, I'm like, oh my God, how am I gonna, how am I gonna write jokes? How am I gonna write this screenplay? How am I gonna do this acting part? You know, how am I gonna learn this acting role? And there's a lot of questions, and it's just all very intellectual. I'm not sucked. On day 3, what started to happen was I started to see things very clearly, creatively. Creatively. I may not be able to pronounce the word, but I can definitely give you any sense of the experience. So it's like going from something that isn't quite real and this was all fuzzy and confusing to going to something that's really clear, that has a really good feeling about it, and that has a real pull, a real draw. So day 4, I'm in bits. I'm crying all day. And then day 5 is just more of that. I'm crying all day on day 5. And then there's a couple of things that I was doing that were really distracting me from just getting on with life. I had a lot of problems physically with my health, with my back in particular. I've been signed off work, so there isn't a huge amount of stuff for me to do. Well, in my mind, there wasn't a huge amount of stuff for me to do. There's loads of time but not enough money to do stuff. And without a work permit, you know, it's not a work permit, you know, without a fit note, it's really hard to actually get some paid work and stuff. So I guess, I guess I was like, well, I've got nothing to lose. I've just meditated this, I just listened to this CD every day. It's not a CD, by the way, it's an MP3, and you can play off YouTube as well with a really nice graphic. So yeah, I put my headphones on and play it, and I'm like, okay, so all this emotion is just pouring out of me. And I'm like, I didn't even realize that I had all this tension built up within me. I just didn't realize that. So day 5, and day 5 was yesterday. Day 5 was a really good day actually. Just started to really just settle down. And here's an amazing thing, like, and this just blew me away. This hasn't happened for a long, long time. I live in a shared house, and that isn't part of my major plan. Things have gone a little bit awry financially. But anyway, that's beside the point. So people are irritating me in the house. There's loud phone calls on one side, there's loud phone calls down below, and I'm just like, oh my God, I can't take this. And a little voice says to me, you need to get out of the house, go for a walk. Now it's 10 o'clock, you know, I don't live in a— I live in a safe area, but I don't know, I wouldn't be surprised if I met some seedy characters at 10 o'clock at night. Although probably the seediest character is probably me wandering around at 10 o'clock at night now. I mean, that was the amazing thing, because I came out last night and there was just nobody on the street at all. It was really weird. Have you ever seen that program, I think it's Legend with Will Smith, and, uh, he's the only survivor left on the, on the, on the earth, and he just walks down these streets and they're all empty and stuff, and there's no one around. It was a bit like that. It was really, really trippy, actually. But what I really wanted to do was just walk around the park and and I've got some symptoms left over from my back injury. It just felt like, oh wow, yeah, this feels a little bit easier. It feels like my mind's not getting in the way so much of it, and it's more of a physical thing. So a lot of clarity there around the exercise. And I walked for quite a long time, and it managed to clear my head, and I came up with some ideas for some stuff. And then as I'm walking back to my house, Um, you know, I pop into this shop and I'm like, oh, I haven't got any food. Like, what am I going to eat tomorrow? And I've run out of milk and stuff. And I realized I'd let a lot of things slide. And it's like something that was bigger than me— like, it's like I connected to my higher self, and then something that was bigger than me was just like now guiding me along, going, okay, go for a walk and do some shopping. You know, when you come back, the phone calls would have finished. And it's amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing. And then the garage, I'll never forget, I was walking past the garage and it's just a normal garage that I've seen, you know, petrol station when you get gas for your car. And it was so beautiful, it was just It reminded me of a bauble on a Christmas tree. And this is what I wanted to share about one of the major effects of this meditation. This is how powerful this meditation is. Uh, you know, I just wanted to get a sense of this. I changed my glasses prescription. Uh, when did I change it? I think it was about a month ago, and I've had two pairs of glasses since then. And I've been wearing these glasses and I just haven't been getting on with them at all. Like, the prescription has changed to such an extent I can't really see when I've got them on in my near vision, and my far vision is just like I'm just staring and I'm on opiates or something. And the last couple of days since I've been doing the meditation, I haven't worn my glasses. I haven't felt the need to wear my glasses. What I have felt is that my eyes are a lot wider. They're taking in a lot more information. They're a lot more bright, and I think that's it. You know, I heard this thing that the eyes are the windows to the soul, so I think my soul is starting to take over my body a little bit more. It's starting to sort of just sit back into my body, and now as I sit here without glasses, I'm looking out and I don't need them. I don't feel like I need them. I feel like my eyes have been really tired and my soul and my spirit has been really tired. And then what this meditation has done is just sort of woken me up a little bit and it started to refresh me. It started to— I mean, how on earth can that happen in 12 minutes a day? It's really amazing. It's incredible. I mean, the research that they've done into isochronic stuff, you can find all about that on the on the website, but I just keep thinking, well, you know, it's not a coincidence that my life has completely changed. My health has changed, my eyes have changed, my mind and my anxiety seems to have calmed down, and I just really enjoy it. I just like— I've never done anything that I just want to stick with. I'm like, yeah, I can stick with this. I can do this for, you know, 12 minutes a day, and I look forward to it. I never found anything like that. I mean, everything just sort of just wears off, right? The uniqueness of it, the freshness of it. But here I am, and I'm like, I can really see this being an important part of my life, almost, uh, almost as important as brushing my teeth, you know? Just like something I never— I just don't leave out. Why, why would I Why would I want to go back to that other level of consciousness where I was sort of dull and heavy and lethargic and anxious and stressed and worried about everything? And now I can just feel— let me give you another example as well. This, like, um, I was on the train the other day and I met this beautiful, beautiful woman, and I didn't get her phone number. We had a really, really nice conversation And I think at first I thought, oh wow, she is too fit for me, you know, like she's way above my league. And then, um, and then I went, no, no, she's probably, you know, about 7. She's not a 10. I thought she was a 10, now she's a 7. She was on her mobile phone all the time. I thought, well, that's not the sort of girl that I really want to go out with. Anyway, we had this conversation, this mad conversation. It was really fun. And I didn't get her phone number, and I was moaning about it to myself. Why didn't you get her phone number? Why didn't you get her phone number? It was a good connection. It was just— nothing seedy about it, nothing weird about it. Just, I want to see you again, you know? It was like— and you didn't do it. So I was beating myself up about this stuff. Anyway, this morning I wake up and I'm like You know what, that whole scene in the train, there's a lot of comedy in that. There's a lot of humor, there's a lot of sort of comedy looks at other people in the carriage and stuff. And it's all based around this guy whose mobile phone goes flat. And so he has to look at people, he has to interact with people, he has to hear about what's going on. He can't shut himself off from it. And he starts to get interested in it, he starts to get interested, and he starts to imagine what these people were you know, what's going on in their lives and where they're from. And then he doesn't even have to imagine it because people start making phone calls and he can hear what's going on in people's lives and gets like a window into their life, including this woman who's opposite him. Excuse me, there's a wasp just coming. I don't like getting stung by wasps. Go away, wasp! Ah, it's getting— look, I just need to get rid of this wasp. Come on, out! Good boy. All right, excellent. All right, so yeah, and then I think, what if the guy went to it? Because I found out where she lives, I know where she lives, and I know her first name. What if, what if you, what if in the story the guy took it one step further and he went to her hometown and he put up like this massive banner in the hometown saying, you know, Tasha I really want to see you again. I don't have your number. It's driving me crazy. And then I was like, oh yeah, and there's this old woman in the house— in the shop. She goes into the corner shop and the woman's like saying, you know, you're not gonna have your looks forever, you should find a man and settle down. You know, I know many men who put banners in towns and stuff. My imagination was just firing, firing, firing, just like, oh my God, this is incredible. And then I realized, well, you know what, if you write this and then you get some actors, you get really cast a really, really nice actress, you can actually film this really easily. This would make a really good mini screenplay. That came from just an increased imagination and a spin on— instead of, oh my God, I missed that opportunity, it's like, wow, what an opportunity that was, because now that's inspired me to write a screenplay, just a little mini screenplay. And then I can play with it. And there are other things like inexplicably yesterday I just decided, oh, I've got this masterclass subscription, and there's this guy called Judd Apatow. I don't know if I pronounced that right. He wrote Knocked Up, and he's done a lot of jokes for Rodney Dangerfield, and, you know, he's a very, very funny guy. And I was watching his masterclass. Now, things— where does that thought come from? Boom, comes into my head. I'm like, Oh yeah, look at that masterclass. And it wasn't even the masterclass that I would sign up for, it was another one underneath it. And I just immediately clicked on it, watched it, and it's about writing comedy screenplay. So let's say that this product is a tool, and what that tool does is it puts your— it allows a lot of the clutter in your mind to drop. It allows a lot of the emotion to just be released and to be left with who you really are. To be left with your creativity, with your inspiration, and, um, and then you just get on with it. It's like, it's really clear, you just get on with it. Uh, so do I recommend this product, Zen 12? I certainly recommend this product. It's amazing. And there's a link below, and if you click on the link, uh, you get your free sample, and then they'll give you $50 off, and then you sign up. And yeah, of course I'll get a little bit of cash I could really do with a little bit of cash so I can write my screenplays and just spend time doing what I love and listening to more of the meditations. So that's my review of Zen 12. I hope you really enjoyed it. And yeah, go for it. Try and find out who you really are and what you're really capable of, because if you're like me and you're just sitting there and you're thinking, there must be more to life than this, you know, what, what is this all about? And this could be the product that unlocks it for you.
