Call our plugs. We've got to find a way to get these in the office. Content. I'm going to go really aggressive on new content.
Whoa!
It's on dash cam, bro. We had to let one of our other sales guys go. He was a good kid, man. You know, our track record is just honestly— I just got to the office. We got our monthly all-hands meeting, so that's gonna be fun. Gotta jump on that right now. The all-hands meeting is just a meeting where we can all get on, the entire team, the entire company gets on. We all jump on Zoom. We have obviously a lot of team members here in-house. We have a lot of people that are remote, uh, some overseas talent. So we basically just all have kind of a team huddle with everyone. It's kind of fun. We go over, we go over— Tanner Smith has some content. Yeah, I'm recording some content right now. So anyways, I'll just kind of mute myself. We go over like sales that we hit, goals, churn, good things that happen in the month. And we also take time to train on a specific skill or go over one of the core values that we have as a team. And so it's kind of fun.
Well, hey, I want to do something different. This go around, okay? I think sometimes we focus too much on training and not enough on, you know, getting to know each other. So we're going to go around the room, slash the Zoom, and everyone is going to share one thing about them that they find interesting. Quickly, we're gonna start with my top left is actually Melissa. So Melissa, we're gonna start with you.
I'm Melissa, I'm 32. You know my friend Desi, we both like techno, both like partying. I used to play electric guitar and be in a band. I sing.
Hey, really quickly, elaborate for me really quick on the techno piece and the electric guitar piece. What kind of band did you have?
So basically, I used to be in a music school and I used to sing a lot and I used to play guitar with that and piano, but I really suck at piano. And then the techno part is that Desi's a DJ, so most The time we end up like in the same event, like if she's next, she'll let you know more.
All right, Desi, we're going to hear about your sets. I want to hear about your DJ sets.
Love that. Okay, Mark, you're next.
Two main goals for this week on the Syndicate front. So number 1, content. I'm going to go really aggressive on new content. We're going to launch a bunch of new ads, new offers.
Do you want to know why he's not texting you right now?
Duh.
It's because he's too busy booking a call with Syndicate Marketing. We've thought of some ways that we can make our core package even more attractive. If you're so frustrated with your agency results and your marketing sucks, then do something about it. Should hire Syndicate Marketing. And we're actually going to be launching a money-back guarantee this week. So we're going to be creating some new ads with that, a new offer, new money-back guarantee, which I'm I'm really excited about. On top of that, we are totally behind on the CRM side of things. We've been trying to get Salesforce Live. We finally are there, so we're going to be reintegrating the sales team into Salesforce, doing some trainings there, and also we've revamped our sales process. So really, those are a lot of the big takeaways this week. If we can pull them off, man, I'm gonna be happy. So the other thing on the sales front, Noah's out of office. I believe he's in Hawaii just hanging out. Must be nice. Also, I think Kyle wants to talk to me about some client that just came through our funnel. Something about THC. If it's got THC in it, probably nothing we can do with it. Let's go check it out.
THC beverages, right?
Honestly, nothing we can really do there. Does it have THC or is it just like a hemp product?
Hemp-derived THC beverages.
Looks like they tried to speak with us about a year ago. Yeah, dude, that's going to be so hard.
Why is that?
Well, the problem is, is there are restrictions against THC products with Meta, and even Google has a lot of restrictions on it. Kind of goes under what, a specialty ad category? And like, it's super gray. So you could probably launch ads for it and turn them on and probably get some good traction with this product, but they're going to get shut down. But do they have other products that don't have THC? Because if they don't have THC, we could probably run to another product and they could sell the THC product through email or through retargeting.
Looks like on their website, all the products—
THC cocktails. Yeah, dude, there's nothing we can do about that.
Yeah, it's all THC stuff.
Yep, we're out on that one, unfortunately. Well, how much revenue are you doing? Um, let's see, we might be able to do email for them if they have a big enough list.
Looks like $500,000 to $1 million.
E-commerce, zero.
Market spend right now.
Talk with them about email and see how big their list is, but probably not much we can do there. Okay.
Okay. Thanks, bro.
25 creatives with 3 different hooks each, UGC content.
Okay.
For Manmade. And essentially it would be like 7 to like 75 creatives. Monthly? Monthly.
Does he have the budget for that?
Yeah.
Okay, so we're basically gonna be doing like a like a silver growth flywheel package monthly for the dude.
I don't know if that's—
We could do that if it's just we're alternating hooks. 'Cause we can essentially—
Yeah, it's 25 videos.
Absorb a lot of the cost in the body and CTA. The hook is the easy piece. So if it ends up being $300 a video, I'm down for that. How many creators is he expecting?
Let's call it, let's call it 5, 4 to 5 creators per batch. Okay, so they each get 4 to 5 videos.
Be $22,000 a month for his package, essentially.
Okay.
Okay, yeah, let me pitch it to him and see what he says.
Okay, let me know on that and I can send it over to him. Got a lot going on with sales. Number one, we had to let one of our other sales guys go. He was a good kid, man. He just wasn't quite making the money he needed to make to be happy. So we both decided mutually it was probably the best thing for him to move on. I'm looking to hire a new sales guy right now. You know, it's kind of tough about where we live in Utah. There's all of these startups that are funded that have just huge budgets, right? And they're paying these fat base salaries. And it's kind of funny because I have a best friend of mine, been best friends with him since I was like, I don't know, 8 years old. And he's been a team leader and sales guy, account executive for one of these very large companies here in Utah. And what they do is they'll just incrementally raise your base salary. So his base salary right now is like $130,000. But what they end up doing is they'll just find a way to change your commission structure so that you really don't make as much money as your on-track earnings are. And they just keep like changing commission structures on you. So the thing that we're struggling with right now is we're trying to go out and recruit a really killer sales guy is that all these guys are asking for these big bases when in all reality, you know, as like a growing business, we can't compete with, you know, VC-funded companies. We're not going to pay these huge base salaries, but we'll actually pay way more with performance with our commission structure. So this This is a guy, friend of a friend that I'm gonna be talking to in 45 minutes. See if he's interested in coming on board and who knows what he'll say, man. Hopefully we can find a baller that wants to come in and build something and I get it, man. Like you want to go work for, you know, Vivint, inside sales, whatever it is. Like yeah, your base salary is gonna be probably higher but man, the growth curve has already happened at those companies. Like Syndicate Marketing, what we want to do, we want to take this thing to a behemoth. Over the next 5 years, 10 years. And so I think that's the real value is, you know, all these guys want big time upside without being willing to take the risk with the right organization and get on the ground floor. Anyways, we're just seeing who we can find and who's the right fit for the job. So stoked on this. He's working at an event. You can talk in 45 minutes. Yes, let's chat in 45 minutes. Trey, what's happening, brother? What are you up to?
Nothing much, just working an event right now.
Nice, where's the event?
It's— this one's actually on Zoom.
Oh, nice. Gotta love the virtual events, dude. Yeah, dude. So I, um, I haven't chatted with Devin on, on this yet. Obviously I want to make sure I'm sensitive to that relationship and everything like that. But if Devin knows you're looking for some other things, I don't know exactly how much work you're doing for him. Um, you know, that's kind of one of the things I want to preface this conversation with is just making sure, hey, if, you know, Devin knows, he's cool. Cause I don't want to feel like I'm poaching Devin's guys.
Yeah, no, for sure. So I'm not doing anything for Devin anymore other than the events.
Okay.
I still have my office there. I mean, so I, you know, I can help Devin with Club Pickleball stuff here and there.
But yeah, I don't know how much have you heard of what we're doing here. You've seen the presentation, I don't know, like what, 100 times? So you kind of know about what we do and kind of what we think about, but how much do you know about Syndicate?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I was just looking it up too, Syndicate, and going through it. As far as packages go, it kind of looks like you guys do a little bit of everything when it comes to marketing.
Yeah, no, we actually work— I mean, we're full service, right? So we do websites, sales funnels development, we do content creation, we do SEO, we do kind of all of it. I'd say our main core business and what you'd be selling the most of is our core package. And that's really for businesses that are looking for lead generation. If it's a local business or home services company. And then on the e-commerce side of things, It's e-commerce, you know, brands are looking to generate more purchases and scale their ad spend. Now, inside of that core service, we have some clients that just do Google Ads, some clients that just do Meta Ads, and then we have some clients that obviously do both. The majority of clients will do both Meta and Google. And we obviously give, you know, discounted pricing if you bundle both platforms.
Okay, gotcha, gotcha. And what I guess sales-wise, right, is what objections are people coming up with? And because you have I saw on your website you have a sales rep, and I know you had another one as well, I thought. But I guess, what kind of objections are they coming up with that you guys are getting over? Because that's, I guess, sales-wise for me, what I'd be interested in hearing.
Yeah, man. So our biggest objections— honestly, objections aren't really the way to go about it. I say our biggest struggles that we're up against right now is that there's a ton
