Let's talk about shrinkage with K-tips. This client has what you all sometimes call 4C hair, and her shrinkage is real. I just shampooed it, and you can see here close up and personal that her hair has shrunk up right about to the K-tip. But here, her roots are back straight again, and I blow-dried it, but her ends are about to be just as straight as her roots. So yes, after you have K-tips and you wash your hair, you your hair is going to shrink back up. But this is why I recommend the traditional K-tips versus invisible K-tips if you know that you have a really tight curl pattern that shrinks up really tight. Invisible, make sure that you don't have matting in between your K-tips. They're all still equally distributed to each K-tip, and your hair is damage-free when you go to take it down. So this is the end result of the same person at the beginning of this video with her hair straightened after having her K-tips in, wearing them, and shampooing them. And yes, Even with traditional, you can still pull them up in a ponytail and you won't see the inside.
