Best Mousse for Curly/Deep Wave Alipearl Hair by @TTDoesitAll

TT Does It All installs a 13x4 deep-wave lace frontal from Ali Pearl Hair and styles it with a mousse that defines curls and eliminates poof without extra conditioner. She walks through bleaching knots, plucking, creating baby hairs, and matching lace to skin tone.

Hey everyone, it's your girl TT Does It All, and this is what look we're going for today. And we are going to start out with me unboxing this pretty wig. So of course I can look a mess because I know how to make myself look better and pretty much look like I just woke myself up, huh? But my delivery came pretty early from Ali Pearl Hair. And it came in this cute pink box with the hair, and then it came with a little carrying bag. And I would not call that a carrying bag, I'm going to call that a storage bag. So when you store your wigs, you have a bag with who it's from. It also came with the elastic band, some eyelashes, which, which I danced for clearly, and then a little pamphlet which shows just basic care instructions and how to take care of your hair while it's in and out. Okay, all right, so now we're going to check this wig out. So I was really excited once I looked inside of this wig because, well, first of all, let's get this net off. Okay, get, get off of me, get off. Okay, okay. I was really excited to have this wig because As soon as I looked inside, I noticed that it was actually a real lace frontal wig. These companies are offering you lace frontal wigs and giving you 6 inches back in the middle, and then on your sides it's like an inch back. And that is not a frontal, that's like a fake.
Okay, we're gonna call it a fake. So this is 13 by 4 inches and it's a 22-inch wig, and this is what it looked like before I customized the edges or anything.
I did not bleach the knots, but it did come pre-plucked, so plucking was a lot faster than if it had not been pre-plucked. And it did have the 3 combs in it, 2 in the top and then 1 for the bottom of the back of your head. You can still see that pre-plucked line.
So what I'm going to do is go in where it has not been plucked, and I'm just going to blend that thick harsh line into the pre-plucked hairline and just make it look a lot more natural so that when I wear it, it looks perfect and it's all blended in and it just looks like straight scalp.
Okay, so I'm going to fast forward through me plucking and get to the next step. So I do want to add that I did bleach the knots prior to tweezing. So prior to even starting this tweezing process, I did bleach the knots with 40 developer and I left it on there for about 15 minutes, and then I began the plucking process. So I am doing this while it's wet, which is why I have my towel underneath. And then I'm going to go ahead and make my natural baby hair. So these are not going to be defined baby hairs, but they're going to be really natural.
And I'm using one of my favorite mousse, and on top of my mousse, I am using my baby hair cream, which you'll see me do where you'll see me put on after this. And I wanted to recreate a really natural look. I wanted something that wasn't so defined and wasn't, you know, just the traditional baby hair look. I just wanted something a little bit more natural that looked like it laid there. And let me tell you guys something, after doing my hair, I went to eat, and one of my friends, she just kept looking at my frontal, and I'm like, she doesn't wear extensions, so she could be looking at it like, girl, that is a mess. And so after so many looks, I just had to ask her, like, what do you think about my hair? I see you keep looking at it, and does it look a mess? Like, does it— is it like, oh my God, that looks terrible, or what? And she's like, girl, no, I'm just so amazed by your work, and it's so good. And I just— I see other people's and it looks a mess, and I just can't believe yours looks like this. And I was like so relieved because You all may think that I'm this master hairstylist, but I never feel like I don't have room for work. So I'm always like wondering if there's something that I can do better or be better at or make smoother or make a different complexion, whatever. I'm just always trying to better myself, so I'm never afraid of feedback with my work. But I tied the edges down, let them air dry, and this is what what it looked like. I just kind of sat the wig in front of a small fan that I have, and this is the natural look of that beautiful deep wave wig. Looks good, huh? Okay, so, and then here's another close-up of the edges that I did on here. And I don't even know if I want to call it baby hairs, you know, like, because it's not— I mean, it is. I— yeah, whatever. Drop a comment, let me know what should I call this look, this hairline. Natural hairline. I'm not sure. So I'm taking my powder MAC foundation, and this is my foundation because this wig is going on me, and I am just going around those baby hairs and into those baby hairs to make that lace match my skin. And then I'm just going to go over with a wet towel and remove all of that makeup from the hair so that the hairs still stand out instead of them being brown too. And you see the difference in the end of that lace and where I put the color. You see the two different tones. So now it matches me perfect. So I'm just cutting off that extra lace, and then I am going to slap her on. And there are adjustable bands in the back of this, so you have two options. You can either use the adjustable bands that are in the back, or you can use the elastic band that comes with it. So here is my look without using the extra um, the extra band that came in the box, and I'm just putting it on and combing it down. And another thing, molding it to that mannequin head molds it to more of a head shape so that when you put it on, it's already molded to your shape. So that's another reason why I did that, which is something I've never actually shown you guys on my YouTube. So okay, I just dropped another jewel for y'all. All right, so the next side, I'm just cutting off that extra lace And every wig will have that extra lace right there, so it will always have to be cut. And now I'm just looking at a closer-up mirror, just making sure my edges are laid. What should I call it? My natural edges? I forgot. So now, you know, there would not be a me if there weren't an SSS, my Sexy Signature Swoop. And this is basically just my deep side part, which I am in love with. I feel like a deep side part can make any woman confident because it's just so beautiful. So I am just going to use my hot comb and just make that part more defined and make that hair lay as if it were just naturally coming out of my scalp, honey. And I'm just going to make sure my part is perfect because I told you all in another video, I am so serious about my— what? My parts. I do not play about my parts. The more crisp a part is, the more crisp that outcome is. And girl, I'm feeling myself. I mean, Yes, honey, I love it. I love it this way. I also— that swing. Okay, okay, TT, we get it. So now I am going to show you guys my favorite mousse. So I'm just wetting it down to kind of take some of that volume out of it, and then I'm going to split it in two so that I can just show you all what it looks like with just water. But I'm not done with it. I want it even smaller than that. I want it a lot more, um, tighter than that. I want the curls tighter, so I'm putting my mousse on it, and I'll put what mousse that is at the end of this video, and the link will also be in the description. This is my new favorite mousse, honey. Deep wave and this mousse, oh my God, it's like a match made in heaven between deep wave and like curly hair. And this is like a curlier deep wave pattern, which is very beautiful. So I am just kind of working that mousse into my hair, making sure that it's all in, and just checking to see where— if there's any poof, I'm just putting my mousse right in there. That way when it dries, that poof is no longer there. And that's another thing I like about this mousse— when it dries, it does not just get back to the natural poof it was. It literally stays exactly like this.. So the poof is gone with this mousse, which I really love. And the hair really cooperated. You see how I just run my fingers through it when I'm applying the mousse? I'm telling you, I had a customer today and I couldn't even brush through her hair. And I don't have any product other than the mousse on this hair, so I didn't put any leave-in conditioner, any conditioner. I did not even shampoo it when I washed out the bleach. I literally just thoroughly washed out the bleach, brushed it, and this is how beautiful this hair is. So so it requires no additional work, thank God. But of course it's selfie time, baby. We got to get on Snapchat, we got to get on our Instagram. If y'all don't follow me, y'all better follow me as TT Does It All and let me know you saw this deep wave video, okay? I'm gonna know what you're talking about. All you gotta do is say them natural baby hairs and I'm like, yes girl, I know what you mean. So this is my outcome. I really loved this look and I hope you all did too because I really enjoy making it. Look at me, girl, I feel like You can't tell me nothing. And I have not done my hair in so long. I've just been getting it done or just wearing it all over my head like you saw in the beginning. So it was well overdue. But this is me just playing with my Snapchat filters with the little glasses, and you see my hair is dry and it's still in that same state. Y'all ready to see my favorite mousse? Because I'm ready to give it to y'all. Drum roll! This is my favorite mousse, and these are the clients, just a few, that I have used it on. This mousse, I buy it 2 in a pack. When I tell y'all, you're gonna need every drop of it. You're gonna need every drop of it. When you have a really good curl pattern, you want to hold it and you don't want it to start becoming a fro. So if you've already tried this, I want to hear your opinion and your thoughts on it. I love it. Not only does it get a strong hold, but it actually keeps it, so you don't have to keep applying the mousse all day. So this is another client whose hair I cut and I put in my Brazilian deep wave and then just put the mousse on it, and it is literally low maintenance. There is nothing else to do with it. And again, no reapplying it all day or spraying water bottles, okay? And for this particular wig, which the link is in the description for it, so if you like my hair, you can get this exact same wig in the exact same look with this mousse and the link in the description for this hair.
So thumbs up and let me know if tried this mousse and tell me what you think about my look.
All right, I'll see y'all in the next video.
