LaToya Kelly installs a deep side part sew-in with thin, flat outer braids using four bundles of Brazilian deep wave hair. She uses an overhand stitch to avoid interlocking stitches, making removal easier, and says the install lasts up to seven months.

Hey everybody, it is your girl TT again coming with a natural part leave-out sew-in with a deep side part. And of course, as you know, all of my outer braids are always super thin, super small, super flat for a flat finish. And her braids are complete, you see the pattern, and the next step will be to sew that net around her neck onto her head. We're using 4 bundles of Brazilian deep wave hair that is her third time wearing. And we're going to style it.

I know a lot of people want to know how I fold over my tracks and here's a glimpse into it now.
I'll give you a couple of those but I'm going to attach the link to the full video of close-ups with me doing this. You can also slow it down yourself.
You can pause it. You can replay it over and over. But you see those nails? I got to give my girl Nisha another shout out. Like, she always keeps my nails on point. Even though she didn't want to put those huge stones on my tiny stiletto nail, she still did it, and they are fabulous.
Anywho, um, I am stitching.
I overhand stitch. It is a lot easier for me. And, um, yeah, so this is just showing a glimpse of me attaching the next weft. I do not do any interlocking stitching because you have to take down that interlocking one day, and I do not myself like to have to take down a sew-in that has each individual thread interlocked like I just did. So every install is just— you see, I'm just going in, out, in, out. That's so much easier to take down versus interlocking everything. And her hair is tight. I've had a client leave her hair in for 7 months. So it's sturdy, it's stable. You don't have to interlock every track just for it to stay. So enough of me stitching.

Um, so I doubled up the first and second track, and then I'm going to go with the fourth which is in, and then I have one more bundle to go.
She's all sewn in and ready to style.
That is her natural part leave-out.
Of course, I'm going to cut that net out and blend her hair with everything else. I style before I blend the natural hair and then I blend the natural hair. Here is the finished product. She has her deep side part, her edges are laid, and she is ready to go.
