In this informal vlog, TT Does It All (along with two other speakers) attempts to braid feed‑in (Ghana) braids on her own head for the first time. She follows a tutorial from a professional braider, narrating the process, the mistakes, and the physical challenges of braiding oneself. The video shows her preparing the hair (flat‑ironing a section, avoiding relaxers or styling products), sectioning, and feeding in hair from different sides, while commenting on how handedness affects the outcome. She compares the two sides of the braid, noting one looks better despite being the “wrong” side, and openly critiques the final look. Throughout, she engages the audience, asking for comments, thumbs‑ups, and feedback on what she did wrong, while also sharing personal context about upcoming professional feed‑in braids and a recent sew‑in. The tone is conversational, self‑deprecating, and humorous, emphasizing a trial‑and‑error learning experience.

Hey everyone, thanks for tuning in. This is actually what I was braiding my hair for in this video. I was just kind of doing something to pass the time until the real feed-in braid queen hit my head. But y'all, just sit back, relax, and listen to how I beat myself up and try my best to do these feed-in braids. It's so funny to me. I was sitting here editing the video like, oh my God, I am so crazy. But this is what I end up doing on my head. I think the side that I think looked the best actually looked the worst, and the side that I did on camera to me looked better than the side that I did off camera. I don't know, you guys leave a comment, thumbs up the video if you like it.
Hey everybody, it's TT Does It All, and I am looking even more ratchet than my last video because I'm about to do a braid on my head. So you see the end of this braid. This is my starter braid. This is the first ever feed-in braid I've ever done, and I'm literally sitting here watching a Beauty Can Braid video. I told you guys, I just love, love, love her work. So yeah, I am sitting here watching one of her videos, and I am teaching myself from her video how to do this feed-in braid right here. So I, uh, I think I got it. I think I got it. And, uh, yeah, let's try another one. So I'll show you pictures of how I sectioned everything off. So I actually used the method for a lot smaller braids, so I'm kind of fortunate this came out looking okay.
But it did, so I guess I'm in good shape.
So, alright, first braid. You ready to see this? Watch it not work out because I'm recording. Just watch.
Okay. Oh shoot.
So first, what I did to the other side of my head was I kind of flat ironed a little bit right here. Um, since my last sew-in I actually did not get a relaxer. I got one right before that sew-in, but I literally got my hair taken down like today while I'm in Seattle. So I just need something to get me through until my appointment for feed-in braids. Yeah, hopefully this gets me through because, uh, I was looking a hot mess in my last video.
Not that— I mean, shoot, that's the natural me.
I'm not ashamed of it at all, but I mean, I could at least tame it, right?
Okay.
It already looks stupid, but I'mma keep braiding because this is not by the professionals.
Something to get by.
No one knows me out here in Seattle, and I already got a man. So if he satisfied enough with me walking around looking like I was born, then he will be satisfied that I tried to tame my hair, and everybody else really doesn't matter their opinion, right? Don't look bad, does it? No, maybe I'm going to have to switch my arm around, which is the worst part about braiding your own hair. Cuz now I'm going to start feeding in the hair from a different side, which is what's easier for me. Now I just got to make sure I'm getting that middle hair in. By the way, I'm not using any type of gel or edge control or any product. There is absolutely nothing on my natural hair, um, because I am going to be getting professional I don't know if that's a professional feed-in braids Sunday. So I do not plan on washing my hair again, so I better make this work. So the bad part about this side is I have not used as much hair as I did on the other side, and I don't think it looks good over here. From what I can see, it just looks horrible. Oh shoot, I just dropped a whole piece of hair. What about just go ahead and randomly add this in here? But dang, y'all, this side's gonna be longer than the other side. Well, the other side looks better to me. What you guys think?
At least you can't say I didn't try, okay? Everybody be like, oh, TT, do your own hair. This is the most you gonna get out of me doing my own hair because my hands already hurt. And I braid hair for someone's all day, but this is a whole nother ballpark, okay?
I don't know, I don't know what to tell y'all because this is it, honey.
This is it.
This is good as it gets for me. And then we're gonna put in a little ball in the back. And I don't know what I'm gonna do with that bow, but roll it under, tuck it somewhere. Boom, bow, placket. Oh shoot, there we go. Hold up. Boom, boom. I need a pin or something. That's how it's gonna be. So one side definitely looks— this side looks better than this side. It's clearly because I'm right-handed, but y'all see my work.
I'm done.
So y'all tell me what y'all think, because I don't know, what did I do wrong?
I don't necessarily want to get it on my head.
I just want to do it on somebody else's and it'd be real cute.
