FASTEST Sew-In Braid Pattern! | High Ponytail | Part 1

Stylist TT shows how to sew in extensions for a high ponytail on a client with postpartum edge hair loss, leaving a middle part to show regrowth. She reinforces tiny anchor braids with extension hair to protect natural strands, then sews the weft into a net instead of stitching the client's hair together.

Hey you all, it's your girl TT, and this is the finished look of a middle natural part leave-out where she wanted to leave some of the sides out for pulling it up. And I'm going to show you guys how I did this start to finish. So the reason I really wanted to upload this particular customer is because she's been coming to me for years. You got to think, I've been doing this forever. I've lived in St. Louis for 7 years and I've been doing her hair since before I lived in St. Louis. Her hair is long, there's no heat damage, it's thick, it's full. She has hair loss around her edges from postpartum. And if you guys are new to my channel, first of all, thanks for tuning in. Um, make sure you thumbs up this video, and if you're not subscribed, just go ahead and subscribe because I always come with that heat. I say all that to say, if you're new here, you may not know I have a 2-year-old at the moment. About 6 months after I had him, I started experiencing hair loss so I shaved off all of my Sisterlocks. So my customer right here actually had a child and her hair is starting to grow back on the edges from that hair loss. So she did not lose any hair from me, but this part particular right here I'm leaving out because it covers that part. So that's a little tip for you guys if you are like, my track always shows in the front of my middle part sew-ins.
That little hidden gem right there will help you out.
But anyway, I posted this video on my Facebook business page, and I said that basically— well, here you can listen.
Give you all my unsolicited, unbiased opinion. I do not like hair products, okay? I don't believe in heat preventative care, okay? If I spray a film over my hair, I'm supposed to believe it's going to protect my hair if this hot-ass flat iron fries it? No, that's not going to happen. I do not believe that if I apply this special grease that the follicles that are dead are going to come back. I don't believe it. I do believe that a dermatologist can further investigate your hair follicles and tell you these aren't going to grow back. So there's traction alopecia, there's all these other disorders that create hair loss. Not just traction alopecia, which is from something pulling your hair out. So you guys educate yourself. These products are meant to sell products. It's a billion-dollar hair industry.
And baby, the comments went in. But this one right here, sis, had me messed up. Number one, Olaplex got a lawsuit against them, okay? They not doing well right now, sis. And it's not just me that don't believe in them, it's others too. And number two, Wasn't nothing crunchy about her hair. You gotta Google that definition, boo-boo. And number 3, that leads me to where we are now. Baby girl has been with me forever, and we see that her hair is still intact. It's still amazing. It's still flourishing. Okay, don't come for me unless I send for you. And I definitely responded to her because I had time that night. I don't always have time. And that was my first time meeting baby girl, okay? Like, whatever state her hair was in, it wasn't caused by me, but her hair was fine. But anyway, back to the slay that's about to happen here. I don't even know why I let that kind of stuff get to me, because who cares? But anyway, she— I mean, she don't know me personally, and these videos are for content, especially on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. People say whatever out the side of their neck. Now mind you, I do believe in what I said, head. However, this one has been with me for a long time. As you see, I posted a video of her 3 years ago, so this is not her first time on my YouTube either. So that goes to show she is really a client. She really has hair. She's had hair. These are my anchor braids. As you see, it's 2 on the left side. 2 of them go around the part and the others go around the sides in the back. So my anchor braids are always super small, and I use a little bit of braiding hair on them so that they're super sturdy. Um, since they're so small, I don't want the thread to— or the extensions to be weighing on just her hair. So the braiding hair adds just a second level of protection for her hair. For the weight. And you see, I pull up every end of the braid into the next. So, and then when that last piece of braid is hanging— stop sewing people's hair down. Sew in the net and the bundles. Don't sew people's hair together. How do people get that out? Y'all got to stop doing that. But anyway, I love teaching you guys. I just am not a fan. I'm not a fan of classes. I love individually teaching. So if I can teach a YouTube video and specifically give you guys something that you're asking for, I love that. I recorded the entire process of her hair. So, um, and I noticed something. So it's nighttime right now, everybody in my house is asleep. And I'm not talking loud. I'm not using my full voice, and I think that is why y'all love my voiceovers so much. I just realized that it's because of my calm talk, but that ain't really how I talk. But that's how I'm talking right now because everybody in the house is asleep. I don't want to wake people up with a bass in my voice, so I'm putting y'all to sleep. If y'all like it, I love it, okay? Because I love teaching y'all. So drop a comment if you're still watching, a thumbs up, and let me know if you are learning anything because I have so much more coming up. I have a lot to show y'all. I show— or I actually recorded me stitching her bundles in. I recorded everything for this particular client on this day, so I can't wait to show y'all that. So I'm finished with the braiding, and next is the sew-in.
