GLUELESS Lace Closure on Thin Hair

LaToya Kelly shows how to install a glueless lace closure on thin hair using the dome cap method. She sources hair bundles on Amazon, stitches the extra-large cap to braids, and cuts the lace to blend. The technique restores confidence for women with hair loss.

All right, so I appreciate her for letting me record the before because without her y'all wouldn't know what is— what I'm capable of. Yeah, I want them to know.
Hey everyone, I'm back with another video and this time I wanted to give you just the up close and personal of the before, during, and after of the dome cap method. I do have a link in the description of the full video, so make sure you guys check that out if you haven't already.
To go all the way on the outside of their head, so the bigger you can get the cap, the better. This one's an extra large. So as you see, you put your head down, the bottom— her braid is right there. You can see the part. Let me see where my finger is. It's her braid, and it goes all the way up under it. So that's perfect.
That's right where you need it.
She's fully braided down, and I'mma sew on the cap. So this time, instead of cutting out the closure part, I'm going to stitch this down first. So I'mma stitch that there, and then I cut out the other side too. So I'm going to stitch that back, and then I'll cut out the closure part and stitch that to the cap. All right, so the side is stitched down. I've marked where to cut out for the closure. On each side, and I will show you when I come back where the closure is sewn on. So I have not put on the back, so you see the back is still open, but it's a little forward. So if I need to kind of pull it backwards, I can move it wherever I need it, or if it needs to go a little more forward. But that looks better, and I'm going to stitch up this braid so that it doesn't shift this way, and she'll be good to go. Okay, so her lace is in. We going to have it coming forward a little bit. It's in though, it ain't moving when the wind blows.
She's good.
Now I'm going to style. Okay, all right, she's done. She's styled. Where'd you get your hair from?
You said it's awesome. All her on Amazon.
You said you got this hair on Amazon?
Yep.
Hey, I am not mad at you.
I just sit down, I say I'm gonna get some cheap hair. It was like, it was like $100 for 3 bundles.
Oh, whoa, okay.
Yeah, and I got some for $45, 3 bundles, but it's, it's a 12, 14, so 10, 12, 14.
I want to show up, get this to do what I do with my hair. That's what Amazon Okay, yeah, that's pretty.
I just get really excited about doing the dome cap method because it really gives people with hair loss just this sense of confidence. And I don't know, it's like they don't really believe that it's really gonna do what it says it's gonna do. And when it does, and just to see their reaction, like that sigh of relief and confidence. I've had one customer last week was telling me like she instantly just felt secure and covered once I put the dome cap on her head. Like she was like, I know that I will be covered, you know, like the insecurities that come from the hair loss, or, you know, people looking at you or knowing that this is thin, or is my track showing, or, you know, just, is this style gonna look right? And just to know that little old me, little old TT, created something that gives these women their confidence back, like, that means the world to me. Like, it really does. And I've had a lot of people come to me like, the game is not to be told, it's to be sold. And I'm like, you know how many women are walking around here with these insecurities and wishing that the people in their city-states or other countries could do this for them? Like, there's a lot. So if I can help a hairstylist do this for somebody else, it makes me feel even better. Like, everybody around the world has a piece of TT in their hands when they do this technique. Like, I love that. So I give this away for free because it's not about me, it's not about the money, it's about women and empowerment and being happy and being confident. So I really love that. Like, if I could literally do dome closures every day, I would do that. Like, I don't know why, I just— I, I know why I love it, and I just love giving people that confidence. Like, seeing their happiness, it's just something about it. So for everybody who's watching, for everybody who has learned, um, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I've been gone for a while. I have been having my own struggles personally with just life and being a woman and just living life, which everybody does. So I just appreciate you all for still being a subscriber, for still following me, for still trusting me to teach you these techniques. And I'm going to continue to give you what I have. And if you've made it this far, I'm gonna give you a gift, and this gift is, um, free access to my TT Does It All University, where I teach a little bit more than what I've shown here. So that'll be a gift to whoever's watched this video. So I am going to put the information on the video, and if you go to that site and use this code, you will get free access. So thank you all for watching. Um, I love what I do. I love y'all. I'm not gonna cry. I almost cried before I made this video, and I was just like, you tough, girl. You don't have to cry. You can do this. So I had to talk myself out of not crying.
Uh, okay, I'm out.
