How To: Blend Natural Hair with Curly Weave Hair Extensions

TT Does It All shows how to blend natural hair with curly weave extensions using non-water-based spritz and tension while combing, so the natural hair takes on the extension curl pattern. Apply mousse underneath the extensions and use a scarf to keep the blend intact for up to two weeks.

Hey everyone, it's TT Does It All back with a blending natural hair into curly extensions video. And this is the left side of her head before and after, and then this is the right side of her head before and after. And I'm going to show you all step by step how I do it, but first, this is what I used. All right, so on the edges, I always use KeraCare Edge Tamer. It's one of my favorites. Pump It Up. I know some may think it's outdated, but it really holds natural hair in place. And then Mousse for the extensions to just kind of redefine those curls. And if you all take these steps seriously, this is the outcome you will receive when you finish your client's hair or your own hair. And, um, yeah, this is the look. So I have tutorials on everything— how to sew in for a deep side part, how to sew on the lace. And at that part, what I didn't show was how to straighten the leave-out out, and I do have a full video on that as well. So right here, I am spraying her hair with the Spritz or Pump It Up, and I am combing her hair into the curly extensions. The curly extensions, when I am spraying this spritz, first things first, you cannot put water on this natural hair because what will that do, everyone? Curl it back up. You can't do anything that's water-based either because what will that do? It will curl your hair back up. So you need to definitely use the spritz on the natural hair where it goes into the extensions. When you are adding that tension and that pressure to the curly hair, when you're combing it through and the spritz is drying into that hair and into the extensions, when the extensions curl back up to its natural state, the person's natural hair, your natural hair, will curl back up with it. So eventually, as the spritz dries, it will dry into the curl pattern of the extensions. And as you see, her, her hair is just as long as the extensions. So when you see that the ends of her hair have curled up and you don't see any more straight hair in the ends, it's still there, it's just blending in with the extensions. So here the curls will become as tight as they were. It's just taking time to just kind of draw back up since I'm applying that tension when combing it through. And I use the spritz on the hair to get it straight. And again, do not use any type of water-based product to blend the hair with curly hair extensions because it will just— it'll cause your natural hair to be frizzy and it will just look like two different curl patterns. After I blend in, and you see that my left hand is, is combing is holding her head in place as I comb through. But after I blend in her hair with the spritz and it's, and it's all just kind of curly, curled in with the extensions, I'll then use the mousse underneath, not on top, but underneath, to redefine those curls since I've combed them out. So I'm not using that, that mousse on the top, I'm using it in the extensions. And I'm still going to reapply that spritz because If she ties her hair down with a scarf, not a bonnet, which is a whole other video, but if she ties her hair down with a scarf every night, she will not have to redo this for at least 2 weeks. The only thing that will have to be touched up is possibly her edges with edge tamer, but she will not have to do this for a couple of weeks if she ties her hair down with a scarf versus a bonnet. And I know you're going to ask, hey, can you do a video on a bonnet versus a scarf? I sure will, because all of my clients also know I hate bonnets. I don't think bonnets do anything but protect your hair from getting in your face when you sleep. It actually does not keep your hair in place so that it's flawless the next day, which is why so many people have heat damage. But that's a whole nother video again. So back to this one. Again, I'm going to the other side. And she is not holding her head in place, so it looks like I am just yanking the heck out of her head. But I promise you guys, I am not heavy-handed. So you see this hand that's holding it in place while I'm pulling so that her natural hair isn't being tugged on and so the extensions are not being pulled on too hard. But, um, I am actually using a Denman brush D-E-N-M-O-N, which you can Google. They're on Amazon, they're everywhere, and they're— and I love them. But this side has a whole lot more hair, so I just decided to go faster instead of using my carbon comb and using the Denman brush. And again, I'm doing the same thing, spraying the spritz into her hair and into the extensions where her hair meets the extensions, and I thoroughly blend that by combing it and brushing it in. And honestly, the comb gets the hairs more blended with the extensions to me, because the comb— the teeth are finer, so it's gonna blend more hair, more of each strand into each strand of the extensions. And that's just my opinion, and this is also my way of blending. Everyone has another way, but this is my favorite way. And what my clients do enjoy. So now that I've blended her hair with extensions and it's kind of dried in with the spritz, I'm gonna go in the extensions and redefine those curls with the mousse. And this mousse does stiffen up, um, but I like it. And I recommend, if you do not want the spritz on your hair and if you do not want to have to use mousse and things like that, I recommend a closure. And I do have a hair review on this video— I'm sorry, I do have a review on this hair. So that video is in the description below. It's already posted, but it does show a client with this exact same hair with a closure and the exact same part as well, but she doesn't have to use any products on her hair because she doesn't have any hair left out to blend. But you see, I am just kind of pulling her hair into the extensions and blending everything through. And that is my finished look. Well, it's not my finished look, I have to do the edges, but this is the finished look as far as the blending of her hair with the extensions. So here I'm using my favorite edge tamer, which I listed in the beginning, which is KeraCare, and I'm applying a very small amount because I have already pressed her edges out, which again is in my video on how to blend natural hair with extensions. Extensions, but I do, um, use KeraCare Edge Tamer. I am like so pleased with this hair. This is the third client that I can remember offhand. I'm sure there's been more that I've actually used these extensions from, um, or use these extensions on, and every time I love it. So I did do a hair review on these extensions, um, so go ahead and click on the link for that in the description and please subscribe to my review channel. I am going to just build that up as far as hair reviews because I do have my own extension hair company which is hairinkkansascity.com but everyone likes different things so I want to be able to give you other options as well. But this is the hair straight out of the package. If you have a hair company and you'd like TTDosItAll to review your hair, my email address is in the description and it is below. So go ahead and shoot me an email and we could get you set up for possibly reviewing your hair as my next video. Thanks for watching, everybody, and don't forget to subscribe.
