When she sat in my chair, I wasn't ready for the prep work ahead. Her scalp wasn't clean, which was okay, I can shampoo it. The takedown wasn't complete and she had leftover braids underneath. And that's not rare, but when you book a 4 to 6 hour service, it's a setback to have to detangle and remove a previous style without a heads up. I gave her a hard time and I definitely am so sorry for that. My poker face was not given and I definitely did have her approval to post this. So I just want to say nevertheless, I got to work. I applied conditioner, I worked through each section slowly and gently detangled without causing damage. I gave her a deep cleanse, pressed her hair, trimmed her ends, and prepared her for the install. Once it was done, her hair looked brand new—no breakage, no damage. And yes, it can go up in a ponytail. A clip doesn't tell the whole story. This transformation is what happens when skill meets patience. But be honest, was this the result you expected, or did you think I turned her away?
