Lace Frontal MUST KNOW by @TTDoesitAll

LaToya Kelly shows how to secure a lace frontal without tape or glue using nylon thread stitching and an elastic band for tension. The method can keep a frontal in place for 3 to 4 months if clients maintain it properly and wrap it in circular motions.

Hey everyone, it's your girl TT Does It All, and I'm going to show you how to get a frontal to not move back when you don't add tape or glue to the hairline. I've shown this before, but apparently either people weren't paying attention or they want a video on solely just this, so I'm going to show it to you. This is the before picture of my client, and, um, She is using my Brazilian deep wave, which is from my website hairinkkansascity.com. And I'm going to show you what you don't want to happen with your frontal. You don't want it to creep back. You do not want her to go to comb her hair or pull it back in a ponytail and it slide back. So I take some nylon thread, and this thread is thinner than your typical thread that you use for sew-ins. And I thread a line wherever my client says she will not part her hair. So this particular client says, hey, I will never part my hair down the middle. So I do a very tiny bit off the center, and that's so that just in case she has a wild hair and decides that she wants to part on the center, she still can. But it's highly likely that she would not do it. So this is up close and personal. The bundles are sewn in, which I of course have a video of me doing that, and the frontal is installed. But this will show you my stitching for how to stitch on a braid so that it does not shift back when she's combing her frontal. And again, the tension is applied to right above her ear on each side— and not tension, that's just where The elastic band that I use is on the frontal, so that is why it's so tight across her forehead. No, this will not slide back, and yes, this does last longer than a lace closure or silk closure because since this is not attached to her hairline hairs, this frontal will last and lay over her, over her hairline hairs until she's ready to take it down. My clients have told me they can keep their frontals in for 3 to 4 months, but— excuse me— the only clients who have had that success are the ones who actually wrap their frontals. So I mean, if you know how to wrap your hair like a circular motion around the head, that is the way to keep your frontal lasting the longest.. And those are the clients who I've seen— excuse me— who I've seen come back after a month or two and be able to go get sent back home because I'm like, no, you're still in good shape. Um, so that is how you keep the frontal from shifting back. If the client doesn't wear their hair on the sides at all, they just wear middle parts or straight back, then I would do it on each side. So that is just a quick show of how I keep their frontal from shifting back. If you guys have any additional questions or there's something I missed, go ahead and inbox me. Um, the previous video I posted did show how exactly I customized the front of her hairline. So I hope you all enjoyed this. There are links in the description to my playlist of all my frontal videos. But I just want to thank you all for supporting me, for subscribing to my videos, and, um, I am glad that this helps you all. Um, I have shifted to a different method of posting my videos because I've had so many stylists that they use my videos to grow their business, and, um, I am shifting away from being so much hands-on the client. So I'm ready to teach some classes, I'm ready to do some one-on-one training. So if you all are interested in that, I will put my email address in the description below and you guys can email me and let me know if you're interested in that class. But as you all know, I had surgery, so I have been down for 2 months. I'm 2 months post-op, I have one more month to go. But this is from my Snapchat video, me just showing that no, her hair is not glued or taped down. And yes, it does look natural in different, different shades of light. Um, no filters have been applied to these videos. So I hope you guys enjoy, and I will see you in my next video.
