Paying for a YouTube video????

LaToyaKelly charges $50 for frontal training videos based on a $500 class she paid for, unlike her free content. She pushes back on the idea that YouTube views equal money and compares her price to professional installations costing over $200.

If y'all are not on my Snapchat, it is TT Does It All. Last night was my client's birthday party, so that's why I was all dolled up. But go ahead and check out this video and comment and let me know your thoughts. Hey y'all, it's your girl TT, and I'm just coming for a very, very, very quick video. This video is basically for everyone who has a question or an issue with my new frontal lessons being paid for. Now, um, the reason why I had never charged in the past was because I didn't pay to learn what I learned. I learned on YouTube. I explained this in a lot of my videos, but I'm going to explain it one last time. My new frontal training videos are charge or charging you because I paid to learn. I paid for a $500 class that I had to learn everything I could and cram everything I could and not take any pictures of what I was doing. Listen, learn, remember it, and go home. My videos are $50 to keep them, and there are a lot of people who are complaining, so In the meantime, in the meantime, I just want to let you all know my feedback as far as your thoughts on these videos. They're not going to change. I hear you all, and I'm sorry that $50 may be too much for some people, but if you really want something, you save up for it. If you really want to learn something, you'll pay for it. Um, and if a lot of people are saying there's a lot of other YouTube videos of the same exact thing, so why would I pay? Here's my thing. If other YouTubers were teaching the exact same way that I am, I wouldn't have as many subscribers because they'd be like, oh, I heard that before, been there, done that. But if everyone on YouTube was doing the same thing that I am, I wouldn't have as many subscribers. So my subscribers tell me that they love what I post and what I share because I do in a particular way. And I'm not gonna stop doing that, but I'm also not gonna short myself. A lot of people have misinformation on how YouTubers make money. I do not— if you see that I have 1 million views, do not think that I have gotten paid a million dollars because a million people view this video. That is not the case. They add ads to my video if my video, it qualifies for monetization, which which means to add ads on my video. If it does— who's texting me? If it does, I get paid per click on that ad. If no one clicks on that ad, I make $0. If 4 people click on that ad, I make a percentage of a dollar, not a dollar per click. So a lot of people have a misconception on how I get paid, and they're definitely trying to count my coins. Now, here's another thing that you have to think about. People who do frontals, they don't charge $100. Some of them charge more than $200. I know people who have paid well over $700 for a frontal install, including the hair. And you as a stylist are going to get paid from the new information you're gaining from a $50 video. So you have to think about it. Is a $50 video worth your $50 that you will keep forever? You will always have it available to you. You're not paying for a training class where you come in, you take in all that you can, and then you leave and like, what did I learn? You literally get to watch it over and over and over. So I mean, me, I don't feel bad about it. I don't feel, um, I don't feel like the video is too expensive. I don't feel like, um, I shouldn't be charging for it because again, the stuff that I learned for free, I teach y'all for free. The stuff that I paid to learn, I'm definitely not going to give that information away for free because I paid to learn it. So, um, yeah, I'm not a mean person. I am not a money-hungry person. Um, I'm a very humble person. Moving to St. Louis has definitely made sure if I wasn't humble, I was humble, humble moving to St. Louis because I had zero clients when I moved here. So, um, I'm not a money-hungry person. Like, I could be charging for everything that I've shown you all, yet you have it all for free. So, um, I just wanted to create that video because I love all my subscribers and I appreciate you all. And for some of you who did have, um, a bad opinion or something bad to say, I mean, comment under my video. I mean, this channel here is just not for internet thugs, like, it's just not. So, um, I mean, the people who comment on— who's texting me? The people who comment on, uh, my customer's hair, my customer's edges, like, it's just rude and it's disrespectful. And I don't know why it makes you feel like a bigger person to down the next person. The Black men who feel like Black women shouldn't wear weave because they trying to be white. Like, it's just enough. So I mean, you can put your comment below and let me know how you feel. Um, but again, if you disagree, I am telling you why I feel the way I feel, so I don't really need to hear why you disagree because I'm pretty much set in my way. So if you want to comment below and let me know what you think, go ahead, go ahead. Anyway, so my hair is a frontal. It is my Brazilian deep wave. I have in an 18-inch frontal and a 20, 22, and 24-inch bundle, and I left it in its natural state. I let it get wet in the shower. Um, yeah, y'all like it? Y'all like it? So yeah, y'all like my shirt? Y'all get it? Drop a comment, let me know when y'all get it. Let me know when y'all figure out what this means, because I had a few people who couldn't get it.
