Hey everyone, it's your girl TT Does It All, and this is a Monosam portable shampoo bowl review, okay? And if you all been watching my channel, you know I'm a hair stylist and I work out of an office building, a suite. The link to that video is in the description. But this is the shampoo bowl that I bought. I added water filtration, and I also added the electric foot switch, and I got this in black. So I just want to give you all the review on this because when I tell you I had one heck of a time getting this together, um, yeah, it was just very inconvenient. So as you see, it says that it is lightweight. No, it's not. Um, it is for home, senior citizens, blah blah blah. Um, foot switch, Um, you know, it just has all the specifics about it on the website. And, um, yeah, then it goes— let's scroll back up. I want to give you all, you all time to read. The specifications say that it has a tilting mechanism, mechanism, I'm sorry. And, um, the water heater, you know, allows it to go really, really high. You get to go to cool, um, You do not need any water, um, from the outside, so you don't need plumbing or anything. You just have to keep the water jugs full or ready to replace once it is empty. So this here is the invoice. You can see I ordered the portable shampoo sink with 2 6-gallon tanks for fresh water and 2 8-gallon tanks for the wastewater that comes out. A 4-gallon adjustable water heater, and it shows the dimensions that I ordered. The water filtration with the pump, electrical foot switch is what that is that I added, and a standard ground delivery, which was $423. So as you see, I spent close to $3,000 for this portable freaking shampoo Bow, and I'm gonna tell y'all how I feel, and I'm gonna explain why I feel it, okay? I'm also going to explain how to use it, how the water tanks work, um, and everything. So stay tuned, I'm gonna share it all. So I ordered this on December 26th, 2018, and I received it on January 21st. I didn't get around to opening it and just going through it until the 24th, which is when I then text I actually called the number. She told me to text her some pictures, so I don't know why I sent her the first dumb picture, cuz that didn't show the leak. But then I had to go ahead and get a video of it to show her what exactly was happening. And check out how loud this thing is and how it leaks. So above the wastewater is where it's leaking from, which is right where the shampoo bowl is. In the next image, you'll see that. So right where that— the bowl is, it tilts, it goes up and down, which is the mechanism they put in the specifications. So that is the issue with the way this thing is engineered. Here is what happened when you move it whatever the hose is that connects it to that wastewater is just— it just isn't secure enough. Like, I don't know. So, um, eventually it then broke apart in where I noticed there was freaking hair in it, and I had not shampooed anybody's hair in it because it was leaking everywhere. So I understand you have to test this thing, I understand that, but with a customer, no. There should not already be hair in it. And even if you did need to test it, you would think after me spending $3,000 on this thing that y'all could clean it out after you test it. Cuz, and saying testing is giving y'all the benefit of the doubt for real, cuz I don't even know if that's what this was, if this was reused, if this was—
I don't—
I have no idea. So I have to take accountability. I did not keep up with this like I should have. So you see January 30th After texting her on the 24th and no response, she says that she will send me a replacement. Thank you. Sorry for the inconvenience. In March, I finally am like, can I get a tracking number or something? Like, did you actually send anything? She tells me the next day that she sent something UPS and it was returned back to them. Now you would think after a customer has spent $3,000 with you, you would give them a phone call and say, hey, we got your package back. I got nothing. So I, in the middle, in the midst of track— I'm sorry, traveling, I just didn't have time to follow up on this, which is I have to take some accountability for. I just didn't have time to keep on them like I should have and got this in a timely manner. And then as you see in June 4th, I got no response whatsoever. So they were like, you're on your own. So I will say the customer service was trash with Mona Sam. And this piece was a great idea for whoever created it, but they need better plumbers to put the pieces together that connect this water source, because I had to have my cousin who's a plumber fix it. In addition to all of this, their warranty says they have a 1-year warranty. Okay, so I don't care if I didn't text back until November, um, I should have gotten a response back or some kind of assistance, a phone call or something. Like, so needless to say, in the beginning I was really disappointed initially. Yeah, so here is where you can see it's fixed with a more sturdy piece. That supports the tilt mechanism they so highly rant and rave about. Um, so maybe this video will be a learning experience for them because I've seen absolutely zero review videos on this piece, which made me want to take my time and very thoroughly spell out all of the complications, issues, the likes, dislikes, positives, negatives I've had on this product. So moving right along, here is what came with it. Please remember, this is a video, so you can stop, rewind, fast forward at any point just so you can go over everything that came with it in the little booklet. And then I will show you guys how this thing works. Okay, so the first thing I'm going to do is clean it. Um, this is uh, almost a year later that I am starting to mess with it. First of all, it took me forever to have my cousin come and take time out of his schedule to do it. And like I said, with me traveling for work and everything, I've just been extremely busy. So I'm going to clean it out first, and you see that tilt mechanism? I'm going to clean it out first, and then I'm going to show you all how it works. If you all follow me regularly, you know that I do extensions and sew-ins. Um, that is my specialty and what I offer. I really got this bowl so that I could not have to leave my suite. Look at that, it's already falling. Okay, uh, the tilt, it doesn't even hold it. Maybe if the chair was there, it would hold it over the chair, I'm assuming. But anyway, I got this so that I would not have to leave my office building when it came to, um, just cleaning out frontals when I bleached the knots and things like that. So if you watch my videos, um, you know what I'm referring to. Um, so I'm just wiping it down because I have pretty much just used it as like a stand for stuff. So I'm also going to show you all after this how to refill it and how that works and everything. I'm just checking to make sure nothing has leaked underneath because this is my first time using it since getting it fixed. Not that I don't trust my cousin, but hey. Um, so I am just going to wash out this. As you heard, it is very loud when you use it, so imagine like a client underneath it. But it is very convenient if you get it fixed correctly. So the only inconvenience I would say with this is actually having to go fill it up. It's heavy as I don't know what. And if you are a smaller woman or male that's using this, um, you can't have no muscle because it takes a little weight. Um, even like the, the waist section, you see me putting my foot on that pedal in order to use it. I had purchased for the pedal to come with it, so So in order to use it, you have to actually step on that. But even still, it does recommend that you turn it off before, um, you leave your space. I'll show you all the inside of it, but for right now, I am empty. So I'm going to show you how, um, I change out the fresh water. And you see that white is the waste where everything comes out of. And right now I just flipped that switch off, and then I'm going to take this off of the empty one and put it in the full one, which I've already filled up. All right, so what I'm going to show you now is me swapping out the fresh water tanks and how loud this thing is.
So this is what it looks like. This is the pump that starts and stops the water. Um, there's that right there, the sprayer. Um, it does have a little opening here where you can see it, so if you're really in aesthetics and you don't like that visual I don't know. This is what shows the tilt mechanism. So this is what actually broke whatever was under there. All right, so this is like the full view of it, and then you have your whatever, um, locks. All right, so this is your wastewater, this is your fresh water. And that is your water heater. You have here the switch that turns it on and off. They say to keep it off when you're not using it. Um, so yeah, this is the $2,700 portable shampoo bowl. And to be honest, if you're at home and This is your source of water to shampoo your client's hair. Um, it's just not the same as having a real shampoo bowl because of the inconvenience of having to refill the water tanks and empty out, um, the wastewater. As you see, it did come with 2 of the fresh waters and 2 of the wastewaters. Well, yeah, it's really up to you and your, your, um, I don't know, I don't even know what to say.
It's just up to you.
And then we'll show under here. You can see that white part, that was the part that my cousin actually redid. So I mean, it was literally spilling everywhere, like everywhere. So yeah, if you do not have a plumber or know someone who could fix that first, um, you probably want to rethink this purchase because there is even a girl upstairs in this office building who has one of these and hers leaks, says the building owner. So I'm assuming that she did not redo that part because if you don't redo that part then Yeah, you'll have leaking everywhere.
All right, so I hope this was informative because there are no videos like this on YouTube at all. Please thumbs up this video because I really took a lot of time doing this for y'all.
All right, see you in the next one.
