LaToya Kelly shows how to create an invisible hair part using styling strips and glue. The glue doesn't touch your scalp, so the tracks move slightly, but the part stays put if you bond down the front properly. She recommends cutting track pieces in half for easier handling.

Initially, when I decided to use the styling strips and the stocking cap, I didn't realize that none of the glue from gluing all this, all these tracks down none of the glue would actually be touching my head. So all of this besides the invisible part would be able to move. Like, I could lift the back of the hair up if I wanted to. So I would recommend either getting used to the fact that it won't all be bonded down or not use the styling strips. If you're not worried about your hair, if you're not worried about glue touching your hair at all, then don't worry about it and don't use the strips, because the strips do have an impact on whether or not it stays on your head. It won't fly off at all as long as the front is bonded down, which it has to be in order to do the invisible part. This way, it'll be okay. I had no problems with it. My next tip would be to cut some pieces in half. I have another YouTube video where it's a tutorial of an invisible part, and I would go ahead and watch that if you want to see me splitting the tracks in half and actually placing them. So now I'm placing them. I didn't actually show me cutting the clips in half because of the way my camera was, but you'll be able to see me styling or laying down the entire invisible part.
