The link is in the description. Hey everybody, it's TT, and we're going to take a deep dive into the details of my Sexy Signature Swoop with the lace closure. So I gotta look at your face in the mirror and see, like, okay, if my hair was hanging forward, it would be hanging forward from here, right? You want to start from here? Yeah, look, I'm like, yeah, you do. So then, so if you're anything like me, you are very particular about your work, and when it comes to a side part Listen, I don't play. So the first thing that I do is I use some edge control to really define her part. So I just slather it on where the part will be and then part through and lay that part separate so that it is super, super defined. It's important to me for closures to be transparent to the scalp so that when you see the closure, you're actually looking at her scalp through it. That makes it look a little more realistic to me. And I've been doing this for a long time, so try, try what I'm saying and you might notice a change in your lace closures. But this is actually one of my good friends Shayna. She lives in Kansas City and she comes all the way to St. Louis for her friend to slay her hair. This is one of my two anchor braids. That I use for my lace closure sew-ins. If you're new to this channel, number one, welcome. Subscribe, like this video because it's going to give. You already saw the beginning, but I am not a heavy-handed braider. I braid really light. I am very tender-headed myself, so it's really, really, really important for me to be feather-like with my fingers when I braid. Trust me, I just I just don't like braiding tight. It's just not my thing. I look at my customer's body language. Like, if my customer is moving her legs or I see her eyes kind of squinch up, I'm like, oh my God, did that hurt? Like, are you okay? Do I need to braid loose? Then they're like, um, no, I can't even feel what you're doing on my head. I've literally had a customer ask me for a mirror because she said that I could braid tighter, and I'm like I can pull as I braid, but the braids are in there. They're secure, they're tight. And she's like, oh, okay. And I'm like, you want to see a mirror? And she said yes. So I gave her a mirror and she was pleasantly surprised because the braids look the way they look, but they don't feel like that. So I make believers out of people, y'all. Like, if y'all pay attention to this video I'm uploading with my conversation with the customer I'll link it in the description. We— she actually is a brand new client to me, and she asked me questions that a lot of people ask, and she just kind of describes how my sew-ins feel and how they look like the videos. They really look like how I described them to look. So the hair extensions we will be using on Miss Shayna today are my Luxury Deep Wave Bundles and Closure. And she, um, actually 99% of my clients use my hair extensions extensions. And that 1% that doesn't didn't know I sold hair, so the next time they actually have my hair too. Like, I'm not one of those stylists that give you trash hair, which I install. It's really quality hair. And I mean, if you notice, these clients that have been coming to me for years are on my YouTube channel and they're still wearing my same extensions. So hopefully that tells y'all I'm credible. I still to this day get people who believe that I'm not a real person, so they're skeptical when they come to their appointments because they don't think I'm real. And I'm like, everything is online, everything. I got a YouTube, I got Facebook, I got Snapchat, I got TikTok, I got a Google page, my phone number's on there. Like, now I will say I won't answer that phone. I will text you till the cows come home, but I will I do not talk because once— and pull that braid down, y'all. If y'all are doing this braid pattern, make sure you tug that braid down a little bit just to make sure it's not pulling the bottom of the back of her head. That's really important. But anyway, I don't answer my business phone because if I do, customers do not get me off the phone. They don't let me go. So I could be like doing her hair right now, my phone, my business phone will ring and I'll answer it, and I will be on the phone for 30 minutes with this customer that does not want to let me go, or a potential customer. So it's a double fold because it's like, do you want the new customer or do you not, you know? And it's like, of course I want the customer, but if you text me, I promise I'll give you the same answers. Just text me all your questions or book a consultation. My client don't want me talking over her head. What if, what if, I don't know, I don't know. But I just don't like doing it. It's just a personal preference. Everybody has their own thoughts and ways, and that's just mine. So I'm done braiding her hair and it's time for the oil. The oil is her favorite part. Like, when I tell you, if she could just get this oil every day, she would. But that's all my customers, they love this oil. But it feels good. I've done it on my own head with some braids and I'm like Yeah, I could, I could do that like 2 more times, but then my hair would be dripping with oil. But it feels amazing. I know it does. And, um, I love that my customers love it, which is why I still use it. I've been using it since I was in my old apartment on 99th and Warnell in Kansas City, Missouri, doing sew-ins in my dining room. Okay, I've been using the same Wild Growth hair oil. If they stop selling this stuff I'm gonna have to go make my own. If you don't know, everything that I'm using is in the description. I have an Amazon storefront and it is my affiliate store, so I get a couple cents off of a purchase if you make one. So, and it also does not make your price cost— you don't, you don't pay more just because I get a commission. But support your girl, help your girl out, and click on the link if you are interested in any of these products. I have everything from the thread, the nets, everything. My needles, you can get them from your local beauty supply store. I have a video on my needles and how I thread, how much I use in a sew-in.. So that video will be in the description if that's something you want to see or a question that you have. I even have a thorough tutorial on how I'm sewing on this net if you're like, slow down, girl, I'm trying to see what you're doing. But remember, you can pause this, you can rewind. That's the amazing thing that I love on YouTube is that I can stop at any point and just pause it there and look at it and just, you know, just kind of look at it for a second like, okay, that's right there, this is right there, you know. And at this point I have a question, you know, just so I can know who I am making these videos for. Are you someone who does your own extensions? Do you do others' extensions? Is this your business, or are you just someone who likes watching, or are you just someone who loves getting your hair done? Let me know in the description which one you are because I like to know who is watching. So since a lot of the time now I am recording on my iPhone, I tend to not record thinking I was recording, and when I go back to pause or stop the video and restart it, I realize that it starts and I'm like, bruh, I definitely thought I was recording that entire process. But nevertheless, at least I still get to show me sewing on the lace closure because I definitely missed that. But I have not cut her lace yet. I am sewing on the closure, which I have full thorough 4K extremely detailed videos on this method, which is just sewing it onto the lace, and also my dome cap method, which is sewing it onto the dome cap for those with fine hair, thin hair, hair loss, etc. So I am going to just continue to, um, slay this lace closure. No, but, um, I'll show you all my tips and tricks that I use in my lace closure video because I do not bleach knots. And I know that seems kind of unbelievable based on how it looks like we're looking at scalpiana, but we are not. We're looking at lace. And that's the amazing thing of just thinking outside the box when you do hair. Um, just because everybody says they're bleaching the knots doesn't mean you have to bleach the knots. Do your own thing, create your own wave, and ride your own wave. Because just because somebody else does something doesn't mean you have to. And just because everybody else is bleaching knots doesn't mean that I'm wrong for not bleaching knots. What works for you works for you. So again, create your own wave. But I even show you guys how I cut my lace off. And, um, this is my Luxury Deep Wave hair again. And, um, I will start this sentence off with saying this will not happen in the foreseeable future. However, she got these bundles off of my birthday sale. My birthday is March 4th., and I did a 50% off birthday sale for myself, and I invited all of my customers to enjoy. And boy, was I in for a surprise. Um, yeah, but I went ahead and fulfilled those orders, every single one of them. And yeah, these are some of those bundles. This is my luxury deep wave hair.. If you all have not seen it, then you're new to this channel. Number one, welcome! Make sure you thumbs up this video and subscribe because yeah, this hair is pretty much used throughout a lot of my videos, um, and you saw in the beginning how it turns out. So it's really, really big and poofy when you first get it done, and, um, I asked my clients, do they want me to put mousse on it? You want me tone it down with water, or do you want to leave it in its natural state? And I have customers of all variations that— some want it straightened, some want it styled, some want to leave it in its natural state, some just want to tone it down with some water. So I give my customers what they want. It's not about me, it's about them. So I am starting to sew in the first bundle and I am not doubling any of the wefts. I had a customer, or I had a subscriber previously ask me, do I double the first weft, or do I always— yeah, do I always double the first weft? And I don't. Um, doubling the first weft is— it comes from a few things. Number one, it can come from laziness. I'm tired, I don't want to be here, and I want to get this over with. Or my customer and I are both pressed for time, or there are a lot of bundles that they want to have put in and I got to make room for them. So there's a lot of reasons why someone would double the first bundle, but I had plenty of time for her hair. And I, I mean, we're We're friends, so we took our time. I pretty much took my time with her hair, and I give everybody the same quality of service. So just because I double the first bundle on anyone's head does not mean that I am rushing their hair, because let's say it's this year I put clients according to how long it takes me, worst case scenario. Now, 5 years ago, 7 years ago, I booked clients every hour. I had my braider Capricia. Hey sis! And we would have a, a rotation going. She would braid, I would sew, and every hour a new person would come in. There were days that we took 10 people a day. And, um, yeah, that's just not a lifestyle I'm able to live anymore. I have a 2-year-old son, if you did not know. I'm also a wife now, so life has changed for me, and I want to be able to give my customers individual TLC and I don't have to worry about getting in a ton of people at once. I go home before the sun goes down. Normally it'll be in rush hour traffic to get my baby, but yeah, I am taking my time. So unless she was pressed for time, she only has 3 bundles, so I can go ahead and single each row. She has 24-inch, 22-inch, and 20-inch bundles going in right now. And now I kind of want to take some time and answer like some questions that a lot of people tend to have about sew-ins. So a lot of questions, um, can just be answered while I'm doing this video. So a good question people ask is, can Extensions or sew-ins cause hair loss, or do they help your hair, hair grow? As far as hair loss, it depends on the person who's doing your hair. If you have someone who braids tight, who pulls the thread tight, who has you stretch the net across your head when they're sewing it down, and then it snaps all those hairs pulled together when you let it go, you know, those type of sew-ins can cause further hair damage. Um, if, if it's too tight, the braids are too tight, the thread is too tight, yes, it can cause hair damage. If you have someone like me, no, I don't cause further hair damage. Clients come to me with damage because I grow their hair, and if they have damage that is from a condition that will not grow they come to me because I will not further damage their hair. So whatever damage they have, they leave with that same amount. I don't further damage their hair, I protect their hair. And with that being said, that leads to another good question, which is, um, is a sew-in a protective hairstyle? And the answer is yes. Sew-ins protect the hair underneath. They allow you to let your hair grow underneath while being untouched. I have videos on how you should watch your hair. You should definitely watch that video, it's in the description. Um, I'm having a customer ask me questions that she has, and we answer those questions of how to take care of your hair underneath, which honestly is to leave it alone. A lot of the times our hair needs to be protected from us, from playing in it, putting stuff in it, manipulating it. Like, just leave your hair alone when it's in a sew-in. You don't need to try to get shampoo and conditioner underneath your sew-in. When I tell you— and my customers will tell you— when I install your hair, I put the, um, Glossifier by KeraCare between the braids as I'm braiding. And then when I'm done braiding, I go through it with the Wild Girl Hair Oil. All of my clients say their hair is still moisturized when they take it down. I can go on and on on that topic, but I have a whole separate video talking about it in detail. And if you've made it this far, first of all, thank you. And second of all, let's get to the emojis. I want you guys to drop, um, two girlfriends, like meaning she is one of my good friends. So two girls in the comments. Two girls, drop some girl emojis in the description— in the description— in the comments so I know who is still following along. Because some of the people I thought was my day ones are not dropping comments, and I'm like, wow, they are really not watching all of my videos. So for those of you who are, thank you so much for still being here, for still tuning in, for still participating in the emoji theme because it's fun for me. I don't know why, but I just love playing with the emojis in the comments. Um, it's funny because if you don't watch the video, you're like, I don't understand, is she pregnant? Why the baby bottles there? But you know, but we know. If you know, you know. But tell me how you guys think I did on this lace closure. I enjoyed doing it. Remember, everything I'm using is in the description. It's on my Amazon storefront link. So yes, I'm so glad you guys are still here. I'm so glad you guys watched the video. Make sure you like this video and send it to a friend if they haven't seen it and you know they're subscribed, or you know they need to subscribe because maybe they need their hair done. I don't know, but I love me a deep side part. This is This is my sexy signature swoop. I just love it. And don't let me get to styling. She was going to Jamaica, so she did not want it styled, but this is Jamaica-proof. No adhesive, no glue, no tape, nothing. She can get this wet and it will not budge in the water. That's correct. My sew-ins, you can get wet and you'll be fine in the water. Just make sure you dry it throughout, and it's really important you dry the inside of that sew-in by like sitting under a dryer, a hooded dryer. Because you don't want mold underneath your sew-in. And mold only takes 24 to 48 hours to grow, so you want to make sure you immediately dry the inside of your install. And that's on that. Yes, you can swim with these extensions. You can wash these extensions. These extensions do not require any maintenance. I only ask my customers to tie their edges down. I don't like bonnets. Bonnets don't keep your hair in place, they just keep the hair out of your face. So remember my little quote: bonnets don't keep your hair in place, they just keep the hair out of your face.
