I love receiving new books, I just do. Now this one, he's very popular online. He probably doesn't need the money that he's making from me buying his book, but I do really enjoy his Instagram and YouTube videos, and I just think he's an amazing advocate for women. Which, especially in the neurodivergent sector. So I bought his book partly to support him, to support him, but also because I really love the subject. Now It All Makes Sense, Alex Partridge. How an ADHD diagnosis brought clarity to my life. I know Alex is writing that sentence about himself, But actually, it's true. It does all make sense once you realize that ADHD, neurodivergence, is the missing piece of the puzzle— why we are different, why things are harder for us, and also our unique gifts and abilities. So he talks about his own issues. I like a personal story. And he says that it's a blend of lived experience and expert input From the guests on his immensely popular ADHD Chatter podcast. It's very good. I watched some of it on YouTube. This book has the power to change your life. It celebrates the opportunities and strengths, unique skill sets, and positive traits of ADHD, offering both practical advice and compassionate insight. Which I think we should celebrate our differences. And I love his bold tagline, you are not broken, you are enough. You are enough. Yeah, in case you needed a little reminder. And it's definitely worth it because as well as it being his own experience, which I appreciate from a male perspective learning more, also does resonate with a lot of things that I deal with. And being a businessman, you know, maybe I can learn some things as well. And he's the one that first introduced me to the ADHD tax, which I never knew was a thing. But yes, I have been taxed a lot in my life because of ADHD. So I am really looking forward to this. Oh, here's a chapter, Dodging the ADHD Tax. That will be useful to see if— what his tips and tricks are. Preparing. How to start a business. Well, I'm good at starting businesses, it's actually making money from them that's the next part. There's a section on romance if you're interested. Love languages. Yes, I like learning about love languages. Rejection, our worst enemy. Yes, I do struggle with rejection. How to manage our addictions. Yes. Finding our ADHD strengths and working out how to use them, that's definitely important. Focusing on our strengths while trying to manage everything else. Yes, I'm looking forward to this, and it's in a paperback, which I really like as well. I'll drop a link below, you can check it out for yourself, and also check out some of Alex's videos.
