3 Steps to Execute Your Creative Vision in 2026 - A creative directors Guide to execution.

Creative director Javier Torres walks through three steps to launch a creative project in 2026: Discern your why and audience, Design by reverse-engineering the end result with modern tools, and Deploy with email lists and content distribution. He uses case studies like Vintage Jesus Tees to show how understanding your audience's pain points drives execution.

How to execute on your goals in 2026. This is my personal guide and my framework that I use on almost every single project to be able to execute. What's going on, people? My name is Javier Torres. I have over 20 years of creative experience and been walking with God for over 20 years. So it's a pleasure to meet you. If you've been trying to execute, whether that be on a book, a podcast, a merch line, Um, pretty much anything creative, website. This is your how-to guide, how to get that done. Well, at least it's my how-to guide. Um, you know, I learned from my coach. He told me to try doing a full video unedited, and I'm going to do my best to try not editing this so you guys get the real essence of who I am and, um, get a feel for the style that I'm going to be teaching More on this YouTube channel or on this page. Yeah. So if you're here and you click the thumbnail, that means you are an author, a leader, a visionary looking to execute on your dream. And yeah, maybe you're too busy, maybe you've been overworked, maybe you don't have the right team, maybe you don't know where to start. Well, good news, you clicked on the right video. Hopefully by the end of this, you'll be one step closer or a whole lot clearer on what to do. So my name, like I said, is Javier and I run a studio called Javier Torres Studios, duh. And yeah, I help people execute on their dreams. And like I said, I use this 3-step framework on almost anything. Yeah. Number one is discern. Discern is starting with intention. So whether you're a Christian, I know that's a very spiritual word of discernment. Starting with the essence is key. For me, I believe in the God of all creation, the God of the Bible. He mentioned about himself in Genesis that in the beginning, God created. And we know of the law of first mention, that the first time something is mentioned gives great importance. And God wanted us to know that he is a creative. And I believe that everything that is good and amazing in this world flows from him. So I want my creativity to be spirit-led. So for me, I start off with prayer, intention, and discernment on why. So Honestly, maybe you actually haven't asked a deeper question. What is the why of why I want to do this? If it's just money, that's great, but I don't think money is enough of a propellant to make you execute. I think there has to be a deeper reason why. You want to help people break out of poverty. You want to provide the best quality t-shirts in the world, you want to create the best burger and make people happy and laugh, whatever that is, that's great for you. And I think as long as it has other people in that process, I think it can be a powerful thing because one of the pitfalls that I see is people want to make it for them. I have an idea, I have a book, I want to let my heart out to the world. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but most people do not care. They want to care, or they care more about the result they're going to get from your product than they are from the reason why you did it. Sometimes there's certain products that are definitely about the intention and about you. If it's a memoir, it's definitely about you. And if it's your life story, it's definitely about you. But even still, for you guys watching this video, you guys might not personally be interested in my life story. It might paint some context. It might give you a little bit of an idea. But more than anything, you guys want results. And hopefully by the end of this video, you guys will get some of those results. So like, you know, that point was expressed. Start with the why. And hopefully it's attached to people and what's their why. So I want you to take a minute. It might not be right now, but I want you to write that down, file it in your mental file cabinet, and be able to ask that later. Why would people care? Why would people want to buy this? Why would people want to read this? Why would people want this? Let's say even with the merch line, You've had like a really cool idea to put something out, but if it's not for a specific person that you have in your head, it probably won't reach them. Like for this one, I made this for KB and Native Supply, and for me, we were reaching a streetwear, you know, audience. This kind of has a little bit of that Vetements, or some of you guys might call it Vetements. They had this one t-shirt that had like a bunch of different graphics and That definitely was the inspiration behind this shirt. Me knowing that that was kind of in the realm of the people that we were reaching, which were, you know, we wanted it to feel a little bit luxurious. We wanted to have like a cool fit. This is like the Shaka heavyweight 7.5 long sleeve. We wanted it to feel gritty. Why? Because the particular person that we were reaching was a streetwear audience. If I was reaching someone who's into, you know, Kith, this shirt probably wouldn't reach them because it's probably too baggy. It doesn't feel as premium as something like a Kith item, and it's probably not as clean. Hopefully with that, you get a sense of the first process of discernment. It is understanding your core your audience, why they need your product, and, you know, who they are. There's one more deeper layer to this before I move on to number 2, is knowing that audience. Once you know where they shop, what they look like, who they are, it helps you, I think, kind of frame your product to be able to help them. If it's, you know, a single mother who's starting a business as a side hustle, and she only has 1 hour to be able to read your book and to do the coursework or homework, I think that definitely paints a different context on how you're going to help that single mother. You're going to know whether she's shopping at Walmart, at Target, at Whole Foods. Having a picture of who your core avatar is and your core demographic is, I think, is key. You know, we have a full-on framework where we onboard people for projects and we go into depth. That's kind of part of the whole thing about, you know, working with someone who's a strategist or, you know, creative consultant and art director, people who are like way better than me. They have full teams dedicated to be able to pull that out of you. And most brands, I'm not sure if you've ever seen like that Pepsi guide, 100-page intention for one logo, which is kind of crazy. And I don't know how much of that's fluff, how much of that's real, but knowing who you're reaching and why you're doing it is key. And with that being said, moves me to point number 2, which is design. Well, knowing what you want to do, who you want to reach, It's half the game, it's half the battle, it is half the part of getting you there. Just hold on with me. If you stay to the end, I promise you there's going to be a little bit more tactics and not so philosophical on what it is. That for me is the heavy work of creativity. Before I move on to number 2, actually, it's like, it's if you can't articulate why you want to do it and who you want to reach, that's probably why you're stuck because you cannot delegate your vision fully. You could delegate tasks of the vision, but if God's called you to a certain role as a pastor, unless that person's like your XP, you're not going to delegate the vision of the church to the camera guy, to the intern. They're not going to have that level of passion, intention, vision, insight, download from God. That's going to come straight from God to you unless you give them enough framework and enough vision for them to be able to run with that and be able to execute on that. Point number 2, design. Once you know the who and the why, I like to reverse engineer and design with the end in mind. So once you know where you're going, that's half the battle. And let's just say a book, you know, for a book, once you know, okay, I want to write a, like say the one we did for Richard, a devotional on faith. And we've already done some on Amazon, we've done some on Apple, we've done some, release different places. He wanted this one to be as easy as possible and done on Amazon. So we, you know, started designing with that. Okay, with design, once you work with someone who's a professional, you kind of know what else you need. Okay, I'm going to need my website page, I'm going to need, you know, X, Y, or Z. And whether it's— if it's a different project, designing with the end in mind I think is so much easier than going as you go because a lot of people, that's probably why you don't start necessarily is because you're trying to figure it out as you go. And without a clear roadmap where you want to go, you're not going to get there. So designing with the end in mind, is great. But if you're a pastor and let's just say, or a business owner and you don't know the design part, that's where you bring in a strategic partner. That's where you hire an agency like me. There's other great people out there that do great photos, videos, websites. Make sure if someone who's been maybe trying to tell you about branding, marketing strategy, Talk to them, see what they have to say, tell them what your clear vision is, and see if they could partner with you on that. You would be surprised how many people are educated on the areas that you are lacking. You're an expert in what you do, communication, running a business, but maybe those other parts need to be delegated to those people. And I definitely say they need to. You don't need to be doing everything. You do not need to be doing everything. If they're at 70% capacity to understand where you're at, I think it's a good time to start passing that off, to delegate and to get that moving. But let's continue with design. Knowing those pieces and designing with that person and avatar in mind, for me, is huge. I guess I was trying to explain it in a way that would work for you, but I think it's going to be way better for it to For me to explain why it just works for me. For me, once I know where I'm going, the execution is easy. Like, I'm sorry to say, but like execution in today's day and age is way easier than ever before. You know, finding things out, researching things, doing things with ChatGPT and AI models and stuff, being able to piece things together. The hardest part is a taste level. The hardest part is the branding, the marketing, and weaving them together. The execution of it has gotten way easier. If that's a book, there's certain programs and things that can help you format it and get it ready. If it's a podcast, there's auto podcast things to be able to help you chop it up. But if you are the leader of it, Giving them your vision is the entire name of the game. And like I said, designing it with number 2 is building with the end in mind. And lastly is deploy. How you get it out strategically is as important as what you build. So let's just say you do an amazing podcast and you have an amazing guest, but Deploying it, nobody's knowing that you have a dope podcast, launching the book, you're not texting or emailing the people that you need to, you're not reaching your people, your sphere of influence, it's going to be a waste. So I like to think of having strategy even into the deployment of it, which is You know, early on trying to build up a database, an email list to be able to help you, you know, in the— once you're ready to launch, you have someone to launch it to because the thing is, you know, nowadays social media is dead. I'm sorry to say it's more about content media and that's a whole topic for another day, but pretty much You don't get to see the people that you follow anymore. It's more about the topic. So the deployment of your stuff with the right name, thumbnail, you know, or your own like vertical as far as like SMS or email is more important than ever. So let me go back. I know I kind of brushed over the Discern, design, deploy. But more than anything, I don't think that the execution is the part that's going to hold you back this year, that has ever held you back. It's the clear communication of knowing why you need something, why you want something, why people would need it and want it. And it's about getting clarity. Your vision isn't stuck. You are. And if you are called and God has given you a vision, it is your job to get unstuck, to get clear, to write down the vision, to make it plain, to be able to reach the people you are called to reach. Yeah, I'm actually going to put together a guide. Will be in the description. I'm sure I'll Whether it's on Instagram or YouTube, I'm going to have to create it, but I'm going to create, you know, I think I already have some core questions, but I'm trying to make it more condensed to be able to just give to you guys to be able to launch in 2026, maybe anywhere from 10 to 20 questions on questions you should ask yourself before you start. And then I hate, you know, I don't want to give you homework, but if you don't want to do that on your own and you need someone like me to help coach, create, pull that out from you, to discern on your behalf, I would love to. Make sure to hit me up, javiertorrestudios.com or javier@javiertorrestudios.com for my email. But I would love for you to book a call. We have strategy calls and we have consultation calls. Consultation calls is you have an idea, and I can help you, kind of just give you my expertise on what I think about the particular project. And then a strategy call is more in-depth. That is where I come up, we do a— you give me a little bit of insight, I do some homework, and I come with you, I come to you with ideas. So we can do that. Or if you're like, no, you're the guy, I want to launch a book, you've seen some of the other stuff that I've done, Whether that's a merch line, you might know me from Vintage Jesus Tees, the biggest curation of Jesus tees on the internet, in the world, I think. That's unconfirmed, Guinness. But yeah, you've read maybe one of Richard's books or you've followed me for years and you know that I'm the guy. Let's book a call. I'm telling you, the heavy lifting for me is in the discerning And getting the information. Once that's there, I'm going to execute. I know how to do the website, the Klaviyo, the Mailchimp, the Flodesk, the ManyChat, the, you know, whatever it is, we're going to figure it out for you. And I would love if you would bless me with that honor to be able to help you execute on dreams. The stuff that we've done for people has been amazing. It's changed their ministry. They're making residual income. They've made over $30,000 on one different course. Um, other people have totally changed the way that they've been perceived prospectively. Other people have grown 40,000 followers. There's so many testimonies, and that's what this channel is for, to be able to help empower you, whether you're a creative just like me and you want to offer you know, creative consulting and you're moving past just being a graphic designer, just being a video editor, this is a place where we're going to, you know, connect together, be on the journey with me as I build this creative agency. I want to teach you what I'm learning. I just joined a mastermind inner circle with the awesome Omar El Takari. And yeah, I'm going to be passing on a lot of that information that I get To you guys, and yeah, more than anything, would you guys close with me in prayer? Lord Jesus Christ, God, I thank you, Father God, for 2026. I pray that if I fail to be able to articulate what I wanted to, that we could connect. Bless the person on the other side of this camera, that they're able to get clearer with their vision for 2026. Lord God, I pray, Father God, that this year and this channel will be blessed, that you will send the right people. that are called to me and that I'm called to help. In Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Amen. Thank you guys. If you guys watched to the end of this video, I love you so much. I am so grateful. Thank you so much for being a part of this journey, and I can't wait to see what God does in 2026. And I can't believe I just finished this video unedited. It's a miracle. I love you guys. God bless you guys. Peace. Let's go.
