Youtube just killed VidIQ and 1of 10 (free tool !)

In this video, the creator introduces Ask Studio, YouTube’s built‑in AI tool that combines YouTube analytics with Gemini AI and the Nano Banana imaging model. He walks through how to access Ask Studio in YouTube Studio, outlines its core capabilities (performance analytics, idea brainstorming, script feedback, title and thumbnail generation, audience sentiment analysis, and monetization guidance), and demonstrates real‑world interactions. Using his own small channel (~100 subscribers) as a test case, he shows how Ask Studio identified low‑performing “hidden‑gem” videos, suggested A/B‑tested titles and AI‑generated thumbnails, and helped lift a video’s click‑through rate (CTR) from ~1.3 % to peaks of 60 % (a 1,500 % increase). He shares example prompts, the AI’s responses, and the resulting analytics, emphasizing that the tool is free for any YouTube creator. The video concludes with encouragement for viewers to experiment with Ask Studio, especially small creators, and a call to like, comment, and subscribe.

What if you could have YouTube help analyze your channel, plan your next video, write your scripts, and even generate thumbnail images? How much would you pay for a tool like that? $99 a month? $49.99 a month? What if I told you it was free.99? Yes, absolutely free. And if you have a YouTube channel, you already have access to it. And I'm surprised a lot more creators aren't talking about this amazing tool. So I'm going to show you a few ways I've been using it, what happened when I tried it on my own YouTube videos, and how you can use it as a creative partner for your channel. Without further ado, let's get into it. So I know you're asking yourself, what is this tool already? Drum roll. The tool is called Ask Studio and it's built natively by YouTube. I want you to think of it as if YouTube and Gemini had a baby. You get all the deep research and native analytics YouTube knows about its entire platform, coupled with the smarts and power of Gemini AI. In addition, you also get Nano Banana, which is one of my favorite AI imaging models. So when I stumbled upon Ask Studio, one of the first things I did was ask it a few questions like which one of my videos had the most potential for growth, what can I improve on, what was I missing? And I was blown away by the level of responses I would get. These weren't generic surface-level couple responses, you could actually feel the advantage and the difference of being plugged in directly into the brain and data of YouTube. I was able to keep dialoguing, keep going back and forth, ask it why it suggested something, give it some more context, and walk through an idea end to end. And it started to feel like a tool I could really learn more about YouTube and more about my content. Let me show you where to start. So the first thing we're gonna do is we're gonna open up YouTube Studio and let me show you how. You're gonna go to the top right corner, click on your profile, and then right here in YouTube Studio, click on that. Then right here on the top right is gonna say Ask Studio. As you see right here, it already knows who you are, has my channel right here, and it starts with some opening questions. So let's just jump into this one. And click on it. How can Ask Studio help me? I think that's a great start for those who have never tried this before. It's going to give you an overview on exactly what Ask Studio can do. So right off the top it says, I'm Ask Studio, your creative partner built directly into YouTube Studio. I'm here to help you manage, plan, and grow your channel. Whenever you're ready, feel free to ask a question, whether you'd like to brainstorm your next video idea or review your latest upload. So here were 4 or 5 different ways that was already walking you through how to be able to use Ask Studio. So you don't have to be afraid. Make sure to dive into it yourself and learn what you can. But let's get into the next example. So what I'm going to do, I'm going to show you some of the past conversations I've asked just for you to be able to data mine, see what kind of worked, see what didn't work. And I'm going to show you a couple examples of where I had some very cool exponential growth. One video got about a 1,600% increase. I was at 1.3 click-through rate and it went to about 20 to actually 60% click-through rate within a short timeframe, which was super amazing. So I'm gonna show you a couple of those examples. So here's one really cool example, identify growth opportunities. Look at my videos from the last 12 months. I want you to find hidden gem candidates, videos where the topic/content clearly has a strong audience interest, but the thumbnail is likely holding back clicks specifically. So in this one, I was looking for something that I had already posted and I just wanted a better click-through rate because I was looking at my analytics and really realizing that my click-through rate was trash. So I knew that I had a lot of opportunity and this is the answer that it gave me. To identify your hidden gems, I've analyzed your long-form videos from the last 12 months. I looked for those with high reach, the top 30% of impressions, but the click-through rate, CTR, below your channel average of 2.5— 2.58%. The following videos are trapped by their packaging. They have significant interest and strong engagement once viewers start watching, but the initial click is missing. So these are videos that once people are watching, people are actually watching most of the way through, but nobody was clicking on the video. Here's some of the analytics. The only AI skill that actually pays. So it had about 3,700 impressions, but the click-through rate was horrible, 1.16%, with the average duration of only about 3 minutes. That was— and then the next one was 5 Principles to Save Time, Money, and Headaches: Mood Boarding. This one had about the same, about 3,000 impressions with a horrible 1.35% click-through rate. Then it even broke down why these have the best opportunity. So it goes, goes right here, shows this, this video. So this one they pointed out because a lot of people were looking for this sort of topic, but the click-through rate was really bad. Next, it suggested to do some A/B testing on a few of these titles. So I started to dive in a little bit deeper to see what it meant. I think in another context window I explained that I'm looking for founders, operators of business. So it kind of referred that in the description right here. You're teaching founders and creators that their expertise is the asset. That's something that I focus on with my videos. So I was able to point that out. So it created a couple of A/B testing for titles to try out. I'll let you guys just read these ones through really quick. Stop prompting. Most engaging AI won't make you rich, but do this instead. How to turn your skills into assets. And then boom, right here it already started generating a YouTube thumbnail for me. This is kind of crazy. So it made a suggestion, even made a thumbnail with my face that it extracted from the video. I wasn't able to upload any videos myself. It already just made the video. And then what the cool thing was, it used my brand color of lime green, neon green, and it already placed that in a thumbnail for me. That is crazy. The concept establishes you as a high-level creative director and focus on the asset potential rather than the trap. It knows my positioning, it knows my target audience, and it knows what I'm trying to convey. This matches your most consistent branding while framing the video as an authoritative— excuse me— guide by using a confident, grounded expression rather than a shocked face. Goes through, gives me another concept, then another one, which is crazy. As you can see, I was going back and forth. The next thing that I wrote, I heard a concept by, I think, Paddy Galloway on an interview that he did on either Open Residency or Grant Owen. I can't remember exactly. But what he said is when someone clicks on a video, you want to make them feel like they have a payoff. They want to feel like the video that they clicked into, they're actually going to get it. They don't want any clickbait. So I wanted to use that, what I had just watched in a podcast. I think I was actually listening to it while I was working on this in the background, and I wanted to make sure that whatever someone hears in the first couple sentences they receive or actually they see in the thumbnail before they even click into it. So I brought that up in the chat and said, hey, I said this as my opening line in the video. Can we make a thumbnail that, you know, positions me in that same light? And this is what I got. That's a really valid concern. It goes through here and then it starts to pivot the strategy that we were working on. Updated titles and thumbnails starts giving me a whole bunch of different angles As you can see, there's a lot of cool back and forth here where I'm switching my different positioning, switching my concepts, getting different thumbnails from it. And yeah, that's just one really cool example. Let's go into my analytics right here and we're going to go to this video. So this is one video that it was a little bit of positioning from Ask Studio as well as me researching and doing some thumbnail research online, and these are the results. This is the thing that I really wanted to focus on because as I was showing you, I was only getting about 1.3 click-through rate. Right now the click-through rate has averaged out about 9%, but I want to show you at the peak where it was hitting. Boom, right there. Do you see it? 60%. Click-through rate. Yes, 60% of people who got fed this video was clicking through. That's crazy right there. That I think is about a 1,500% increase from the 1.2% up to 60%. I think I did some math. I think it's like a 20x outlier or 1,500%. I believe so. But as you could see, once I started making the changes, I was normally around here, right there, and then Boom, started getting some really cool traction. What I think happened is when I started to A/B test it, it shot it back out. And from there is where it started, you know, doing its magic, doing its YouTube magic, and then getting a bunch more clicks, a bunch more eyeballs, and luckily for me, a bunch more subscribers coming through. These are the different A/B testing that I was trying, uh, for the different titles and thumbnails. I wanted to position with the new models that had just come out, which was 5.6 GPT and the new Claude at the time. But anyways, that was a cool positioning at the time. As you can see on this video, the engagement keeps going up. I'm getting a lot of good response and it all started with asking some questions in Ask Studio. So I showed you a one quick chat where it analyzed something, it made a YouTube thumbnail, and it even understood the context of my channel. My channel only has about 100 followers, so this sort of interaction is a breakout video for me. This is what we call an outlier. If, you know, you only have 100 followers and you get 1,300, you know, watches, that's pretty good. That'd be the equivalent of having 10,000 followers and getting 100,000 views. So just keep that in mind, even though this channel is really small, the same sort of frameworks, the same sort of tools, the same sort of tactics can work for you in your channel, whether you have 100 times more or even less than I do. The best way that I really, uh, suggest you learning it is just going through the prompts yourself and having Ask Studio teach you exactly how to use it. It has a powerful set of opening prompts, and don't be afraid to ask it some really silly questions because you might be responded by getting a really cool answer. I just hope that this was a jump-off. I hope that this was just an inspiration or, you know, a battery pack in your back just to get you started with Ask Studio. This has been such a really cool tool for me to use. I'm really excited about going into it further, learning more as my channel grows. If you have any questions, any suggestions for future videos, make sure to drop them in the comments. I'm a brand new channel, so if you do me a favor, like, comment, subscribe, It means the world to me. Anyways, I love you guys. God bless you guys. I'll catch you guys on the next one. Peace.
