ChatGPT 5.6 Just Changed the Entire Game.

In this video, the creator introduces OpenAI's new ChatGPT Work product, powered by the GPT‑5.6 model suite (Terra, Luna, Sol), and evaluates it against Anthropic's Claude Cowork. He outlines ChatGPT Work’s core capabilities—goal‑driven planning, access to files, apps, browsers, and contextual information—while highlighting practical advantages such as 2‑3 session refreshes for token efficiency, cloud‑based file storage, and the ability to switch models mid‑task. He emphasizes the integration of his Obsidian vault (his “second brain”) with ChatGPT Work, allowing seamless transfer of context and skills between the two AI platforms. The creator notes that Sol often feels faster and more coherent than Opus and may rival Claude’s Fable 5, though he hasn’t fully tested the latter. He also praises the new “skills” feature that lets repeatable processes be saved as SOP‑like modules. Overall, he finds ChatGPT Work edging out Claude Cowork for his workflow but chooses to keep both tools, linking them through Obsidian, and promises a follow‑up tutorial on the integration.

ChatGPT 5.6 just dropped, and this is not just a new model. OpenAI also dropped a new way for you to use ChatGPT called ChatGPT Work. And the big question everybody is asking, is this the Claude Cowork killer? Well, in this video, I'm gonna talk about what ChatGPT Work is, what it does, and the game-changing method I'm using that goes beyond any one AI tool. Because while everybody is comparing ChatGPT and Claude against each other, I got them to work together. If you follow my channel for any amount of time, you know that Claude Cowork has been my favorite app for the last few months. I've made videos about it. I use it in my business daily, and it's changed the way that I look at AI. I believe it's the best way for you to dip your toe into agentic work because this is not just a chat window where you ask a simple question and get an answer. Cowork can actually work on projects. It could read your files, understand context around them, organize that information, create documents, help you turn a rough idea into real work. But most importantly for me, it's connected to my second brain. Then this week, ChatGPT Work showed up, and the obvious question is, is this the Claude Cowork killer? If you don't know what ChatGPT Work is, here's a rough overview. ChatGPT Work has a ton of my favorite features that were already found in Claude Cowork. Work gives ChatGPT access to your files, your apps, your tools, your browser, and the context around your work. You can give it a goal, let it gather what it needs. It starts building a plan, starts creating things like documents, presentations, spreadsheets, websites, reports, research. But most importantly, it understands and connects to your context. And it's powered by GPT-5.6, a collection of OpenAI's newest models. Terra, Luna, and Sol. Now these models are brand new, so I'm not going to pretend that I've done a deep exhaustive dive into each one and what their differences are. I've kind of just tested them out briefly, but from my rough testing, it does seem like Sol is more than capable to stand up to Opus and might be a true competitor to Claude's Fable 5. But I have used ChatGPT Work, and honestly right now it kind of seems like GPT Work is starting to edge out Cowork for me which is actually shocking. Here are a few reasons. First, I love how OpenAI gives you 2 to 3 session refreshes, which allows you not to get stuck in the middle of a huge work session. It allows you to refresh the session and start with fresh tokens. For those of you who have never used Claude Cowork or ChatGPT Work, you're given a certain amount of tokens in a 5-hour work window, and the smarter the model, the more tokens you use. So it's really important to have token management And having these token refreshes are a game changer. I haven't done a lot of work yet, but it seems like you're getting 3 times more token efficiency from my rough testing, which makes it seem like you're getting a lot more bang for your buck. Another thing I love about GPT Work is the files live in the cloud. The work isn't tied to just one folder on your laptop that has to stay open. You could keep projects moving, come back from another device, and everything is still there. With Cloud Cowork and Dispatch, my laptop has has to be open for me to be able to use Claude Cowork and not just a regular chat. But I did see a video this morning saying that that issue might have just got solved. Reason number 2 that I really love is having my Obsidian vault, my second brain that I normally have saved to my local desktop. I also have it backed up to Google Drive, and now I can connect ChatGPT Work to those files and have that same documents, that same context now living within ChatGPT. So the brand context and systems I originally built using Claude aren't trapped inside of Claude. I'm no longer tied or committed to just using one AI provider. I can now bring that brain with me, which is super important to me because AI models seem to be getting better and better. And there's a lot of back and forth on which one is king because the tools are going to change, but your essence won't. So being able to transfer your second brain between those tools has been super amazing. And the last reason right now is the model itself. For the kind of work that I do, I've been using SOL, which has surprisingly been faster and more coherent than using Opus. Surprisingly, at least that's been my experience so far. I haven't really tested Fable enough to give you a fair comparison. I felt like it was too token heavy for the normal work that I do. If I was building some sort of like app or website, I probably would've tried pushing that a little bit harder. SOL has been the real sweet spot for me. And like I said earlier, it feels like I'm getting a lot of bang for my buck. I also like that I can change and ramp up the model while working on it. So if the assignment gets more complicated, I can give it more power without having to start the whole project over. That flexibility is something I don't really get the same way with Claude. The next big thing is, drum roll, ChatGPT introduced skills. Skills have been one of the main reasons I've used Claude Cowork so much. I can take a repeatable process almost like an SOP and turn it into a skill. So you stop explaining the same job every single time. Now I can start doing that in ChatGPT as well. So when I put all of that together, the cloud-based files, the continued sessions, the model flexibility, the skills, the access to the documents that I have in my Obsidian system, I'm really starting to like ChatGPT Work. And to be honest, right now it feels like it's edging out Claude Cowork for me just a little bit. But here's why I'm not counting Claude out. I built my entire brand brain system on top of Claude. Claude helped me prove this way of working in the first place. I've spent months building processes, skills, context, trust all around it. So I'm not just gonna start using ChatGPT Work for a few days and suddenly pretend none of that matters anymore. But I do like to have options. And instead of throwing everything away that I built with Claude, I wanted to bring that system with me and make both the tools work together. So the big question is still there. Did ChatGPT work kill Cloud Cowork? I don't know. And honestly, I'm not trying to find out because I didn't just fire an AI employee because another capable one showed up. I added a whole new partner to the team. That's the opportunity I saw. Because while everyone is trying to decide which one wins, which one loses, which subscription you should cancel. I wanted to know how to make them work together. And the obvious next question is, how did I do that? Short answer, I connected it to my Obsidian second brain. And in this next video, I'm gonna show you exactly how I got ChatGPT and Cloud Cowork working together. Thank you guys so much for watching. Make sure to like, comment, and subscribe. If you like to learn more about how to turn AI into assets, I'm a brand new channel, so every comment, like, and sub means a huge deal to me. Thank you guys so much. I love you guys. God bless you guys and catch you guys in the next one. Peace.
