If You Feel Stuck, Watch This (3 Takeaways From Vegas)

In this vlog-style video, creator Javier Torres shares three key lessons he learned during a business intensive in Las Vegas led by his content coach Omar El Takrori. The first lesson, "Be the content," emphasizes authenticity and the power of being a prepared messenger rather than relying on scripted messages, arguing that when you embody the content you have an unlimited source of material drawn from your life, interests, and continuous learning. The second lesson, "Find your tribe," highlights the importance of belonging to a community of like‑minded creators; Javier recounts a dinner where he and other attendees helped a fellow entrepreneur, Isaac, clarify his offer, illustrating how collaborative environments spark breakthroughs and reinforce a sense of fit. The third lesson, "Take your shot," describes Javier’s initiative to create a custom workbook/book for Omar’s Content‑to‑Cash Challenge, turning an idea into a tangible product to capture attention and demonstrate execution, despite uncertainty about its future use. Throughout, he weaves personal anecdotes, references to the "7 Mountains of Influence" framework, biblical encouragement, and a closing prayer, ending with a call to action for viewers to contact him for consulting.

What's going on, people? My name is Javier Torres. I have over 20 years of creative experience from photo, video, graphics. Now I focus more on strategy and branding, but I'm still learning. So much so that I even have a content coach, Mr. Omar El Takrori. And this week he had a business intensive in Las Vegas, Nevada. And in this video, I'm going to be teaching you 3 of my biggest takeaways, and I'm gonna give 'em to you right up front so you don't have to wait around. I will be going in depth in this video, so if it sounds interesting to you, make sure to stick around. Number 1 is be the content, all about authenticity. Point number 2 I'm gonna be talking about is finding your tribe. It's about belonging. And number 3 is take your shot. It's all about risk. Without further ado, let's get into it. Point number 1, be the content. One of the greatest takeaways that I got from this week is being the content. A prepared messenger is better than a prepared message. What does that mean? When you are the content, when you are the person that you portray to be on camera, it's 100% easier to show up in front of a camera and to be able to talk. The more that I make content on the things that I'm actually an expert on, the things that I'm knowledgeable about, the easier things get. One of the greatest things that I learned was Omar is the person he portrays online. He's not faking it. It's not this act. It's not a script. It's not something that You know, he has figured out through ChatGPT, he actually is the real deal. I knew that early on. That's why I joined his inner circle. That was one of the greatest takeaways that I learned from this week, which was when he shows up in the room, he doesn't have to quote unquote prepare a TED keynote talk. I'm sure that he has some of those prepared, definitely. But I also know that he is a prepared messenger. Day 1 started off with Q&A. There was about 30 to 40 people in in the room and each one of us was able to ask our own personal question. And that's the thing that amazed me. Omar, time and time again, had something to say. One of the principles that Omar talks about is being the content and how that translates to unlimited content. If you're the content, think about it. There's an unlimited supply. Whether you like to play golf, You're really into fashion, cooking, family, friends. That's one of the frameworks that they bring is called the 7 Mountains of Influence. I don't remember them off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure it has to do with going to the gym, faith, family, government. Maybe I'll just put them up right here. When you are the content, you have an unlimited source to be able to pull from because you should be continually learning learning new frameworks, learning new systems, learning new ways to make your product or service better so you're always able to have something new to say. Also, you're living life. You're getting some cool stories with family. You're getting some cool stories with your friends. And all those things could be put into learning lessons. For me, seeing Omar just be the content was very inspiring because Like I said, he wasn't faking the funk. He wasn't trying to pretend to be somebody that he wasn't. I think it inspired me just to be more authentically me. Nobody is going to be better at being you than you. Think about that. The Bible says that you were uniquely and wonderfully made, and I want you to feel that in your soul, in your spirit. Only you can do what you are called to do. I can't fulfill your calling. Nobody else can fulfill your calling. Only the best version of you can. So if you prepare yourself, like we said, a prepared messenger is better than a prepared message. Get yourself prepared and you'll have unlimited confidence. Number 2 was this, find your tribe. It's all about belonging. Have you ever felt like the black sheep? Have you ever felt like you don't belong in certain rooms or the conversations that you like to have? not everyone around you likes to have. It's not that you're weird, or maybe you are. I feel like I'm a little bit weird, but I also think that it's about finding your own tribe. So that's like one of the cool things that I really learned on this trip was I'm not as weird as I think I am. Maybe I just have different interests because being in a room full of people that have the same vision, the same direction, the same goals, It was very freeing. I was able to metaphorically let my hair down and just enjoy the moments. It's funny, a few of my friends who are pastor friends are like, man, you looked really happy in those clips that I saw you post on Instagram. And I looked back on it and I'm like, man, I did look pretty happy, excited, comfortable. Sometimes I get into different rooms and I feel like my social battery isn't there. I feel like I want to leave or not. you know, kind of lean in. And to be really honest, a lot of times it's because I'm not intellectually stimulated. I get a little bit bored. It might not be the topics that I'm interested in. Obviously, when you're at church, you go above and beyond and you get interested in what other people are interested in.
Given.
But it was very freeing being in a room where I didn't have to pretend. I didn't have to hide my goals that I'm trying to build a successful business. I didn't have to pretend and fit into a box when we're talking about making tens of thousands of dollars, or even in the room, people have the dreams of making millions of dollars. We were able to talk about offers, frameworks, different positioning in podcasts, and it was very freeing. One of the really cool things was on the first night, we went out to dinner at this beautiful Thai restaurant, and they had really cool spread, really good food. But sitting across from me was a gentleman by the name of Isaac. He has a similar business as far as for a video agency. And one of the cool things was he was a little bit confused at the start of the dinner trying to figure out what his offer was, how to position himself. And it was just cool being in a room full of like-minded individuals where all together we were trying to help him create and craft his offer. That interaction right there Wouldn't have happened anywhere else. I promise you, if it would've been anywhere else, having 5 to 10 different people help you create and craft your offer, that just doesn't happen. And I thought it was really cool. So by the end of it, he actually got this epiphany aha moment. And I was sitting around recording the whole thing on my iPhone while he's talking with somebody else across from me and we're eating the The really cool Thai food and egg rolls and everything. I was just filming. He knew I was filming, so it wasn't anything weird, but it was really cool to be able to capture the moment when he got that aha moment and he created his offer. It was just so cool to me because normally I'm not taking a bunch of selfies. I'm not always enjoying myself in every sort of room, but in this room, I definitely felt like I belonged. And it was really cool. Yeah, there's a lot of things that I might not find fun or exciting, but the sport of creating is definitely something that I enjoy. I love making videos. I love the sport of business. I love the sport of creating. I love optimization, helping people, branding frameworks. And in every environment, that actually just doesn't fit. Some people are into sports. Some people are into hiking. Some people are into cooking. Which is really cool. But for me, I enjoy the sport of business. So being in a room with my tribe was definitely freeing. So I don't know what you're into, Pastor. If you need to get into a room of other like-minded pastors who are at the same level of you, if not above you, to help encourage you to get to the next level, I encourage you to go do that. Find your tribe. If you're starting a merch brand and you need to go to some conferences or trade shows or little pop-ups where you're just able to just brush shoulders with people who inspire you, there is nothing like it. It's invigorating. Get around your tribe. If you're trying to become a better Christian, find yourself a local church where you could get encouraged by like-minded individuals Whatever you're into, find your tribe. I promise you it's gonna help you a ton. Point number 3 is this: take your shot. As the poet Eminem once taught us, 'cause opportunity comes once in a lifetime. On this trip, I presented my coach Omar El Takrori with a book of his very own from the Content to Cash Challenge. This is something that I spent weeks on, on my own time, It was a thought that God gave me and it's something that I just had to execute on. A few weeks back on our Tuesday morning calls, we were doing a hot seat where we show our YouTube pages. In that, I brought up a video that I did about book publishing. That sparked a conversation about what I actually do for authors. At the end of the conversation, Omar joked around about jumping on a discovery call to get his book published. From that conversation, it sparked an idea in me to write him a book about the Content to Cash Challenge. One of the pain points he had mentioned in one of the previous meetings was that the only time he's able to offer someone something when they wanna purchase something is during the challenge. Instead of only being able to sell during the challenges, I thought, what if a challenge was 24/7? What if someone at any time was able to pick up a book, learn some of the basic concepts that he teaches there, and just get an idea of what the Content to Cash Challenge actually is? The idea started sparking about maybe integrating it with his AI agent that actually answers questions. I started creating some QR codes where it has some video interactions to be able to walk people through because that's part of his magic. is the actual walkthrough and the teaching that he does live. Anyways, I don't even know if he's going to show it or I'll even show it fully, but what I did was create a full book for him. I presented it to him on the first day and it definitely set the tone for the entire trip. Here's a quick clip of what his reaction was in front of the entire group.
Let's go, clap it up for Javier. Bro, I'm gonna show you something. Somebody run in my office. Brandon, can you go and grab the thing? He's like, bro, I have a gift for you. I'm like, sweet, I'm a gifts guy. He created a workbook. Annabelle, you'd love this. He created a workbook based on the Content to Cash Challenge. And it literally has like, Oh my God. Like literally just took it off the whiteboard and then from the thing, Actually created like even better like drawings that I probably should probably draw it like this from now on. Isn't that crazy? Dude, give it up. Bro, that's how you get somebody's attention, bro. You got, you have no problem getting people's attention.
Let's go.
You got my attention.
As you can see, he said capturing someone's attention. And for me, that meant so much. Obviously, I'm hoping that we can continue to work on this and actually turn this into a product for all of you. But I had to take my shot. There's no guarantee whether he's going to use it or not, but I just know for me it was something that God placed in my heart and I knew I had to execute on and I had to take my shot. I'm just believing that something's going to come from this, whether it's a closer connection with my coach, whether it's somebody else that might have saw it on the livestream as he was showing it. Maybe it's right here that one of you guys watching this might be inspired to do a book with me. I have no clue. I just knew that I had to be obedient and I had to take my shot. I just know every time I've taken a shot like that, it has never been a waste. It was a learning experience for me and it also helped build my creative muscle and execution. And what does this have to do with anything? I just believe that God wants me to continue to sharpen my skills for me to serve the people that I'm called to serve. I hope in a couple of videos from now I'll have a great testimonial, but whether I did or not, I took my shot. I'm the type of guy that doesn't like to live with regret. I don't want to look back and go, man, that idea was really cool. I wish I would've done it. I actually did it and I'm really proud of myself that I took my shot. So those were 3 of the biggest takeaways I got from this last trip. Some things are taught and some things are caught. Being in the room was priceless. I had some very cool conversations, things that were off record, compliments that I got that will live with me more than even these tips that I shared here. I hope that these 3 short lessons inspire you to be and do what you're called to do and who you're called to be. Let's pray. Lord Jesus Christ, God, I just thank you, Father God, for everyone who's watching this video, for everyone who's watched to the end. I pray that you bless them. Bless them with a greater level of favor, with a greater level of anointing, and a greater level of clarity. I thank you, Father God, that you will bless them to be the men and women that they're called to be. In Jesus' name, amen.
