Hey everybody, what's up? On this video, let's find out how to avoid getting your idea copied. Hey guys, what's up? Hernan Vazquez here. Welcome to another video and thank you once again for watching this video, taking time out of your daily cat dose or your puppy dose or your false dose, you know, on YouTube and watching me, which is— I don't think it's as sexy as that, but anyways, thanks for that. I know you're doing a lot of effort. You guys should be paid just for watching me ranting all over your monitor. Now, on this video, I just wanted to touch base real quick on a question that came by— I think it was via email, and it was How do I avoid to get my idea, my business idea, or my product idea copied? And the reality is, my friend, is that you cannot. You can't. It's impossible. If you think you can, just drop me a comment below because I could potentially hire you to protect my business idea. But the minute that idea becomes execution, that's where your business idea is being risked of being copied. But the reality is that most of the people will not launch products or services or companies or businesses because of being afraid of their idea being copied. And the reality is that, my friend, your ideas are worth shit unless you put the action forward, okay? And the paradox is that when you put the action forward and make the idea happen, There will be a ton of copycats. You cannot avoid that. What you can do though is to turn your idea into the first or the best. Okay, people will walk miles to get an Apple product, and there's a ton of Apple copycats. Who cares? Okay, they want an Apple product. Not even that. Okay, Apple is just a juggernaut. You could walk miles to go to John's Bakery. Because you have been purchasing there for the past 20 years because your fathers used to be friends with John's fathers or whatever. And that's the deal. People will purchase from you and people that will go for the competition that have copied your idea, you didn't want them in the first place, okay? So do not be afraid of getting your idea copied because the reality is that that's impossible. I see a ton of people importing goods from China and selling them online on Shopify. They're making a ton of money with a really good idea and they cannot avoid Chinese companies copying their ideas and selling them on their own. But the reality is that those will still be the Chinese versions, all right? The reality is that the value that you add to the product and the personality and the identity that you add to the product That's gonna be the make or break of your business. Not the business idea, but everything around it, okay? So if you have a great business idea and you put forth the effort, but you have a shitty customer service, your idea will not work, okay? Or you will have struggles to make it work, to make it grow. Now on the other hand, if you have a regular idea but you have amazing customer service, most often than not, people will recommend you and your business will grow. Okay, so again, do not be afraid of getting your business idea copied because an idea, it's an idea until you put forward the action to make it happen. And the reality is that when you're putting forward the action to make it happen, you become an entrepreneur, and entrepreneurs get copied all of the time. Okay, think about the biggest companies in the world. They get copies all over the place, but the mystic, the idea behind the product, what it implies, you know, the culture behind the product, that's what matters the most. Okay, and some people will tell you that getting copied is actually being flattered. Okay, that, that's valid too. All right, so do not be afraid and do not let that thought Stop you from taking action because otherwise it's just an idea and ideas are worthless unless you take action. All right guys, so I just wanted to make that clear real quick. Drop me your comments below. In particular, have you had an idea copied? What do you think about getting your ideas copied? Did you experience that? How did you cope with that? You know, I would love to know. So leave me your comments, your questions, everything below or above depending on where this video is gonna be.
