How To Break Through The Glass Ceiling And Scale Your Online Business - Hernan Vazquez

Hernan Vazquez explains why entrepreneurs hit a sales plateau even with profitable products. His client spent $10-15k monthly on Facebook ads with a 2:1 ROI but got bored. Instead of pivoting, Vazquez recommends building new verticals and front-end products like books to feed your core offer and scale without reinventing.

You know, one of the main issues that many business owners have is that they feel that they have reached this glass ceiling that they cannot go through, and that's one of the biggest problems when it comes to online marketing. Hey everybody, Hernan Vazquez here. For the past 7 years, almost 8, I've been helping entrepreneurs and business owners getting more sales and leads through the use of paid media like Facebook ads, for example, and sales funnels and email automation as well. And a lot of business owners come to me because they feel in one way, shape, or form that they are, you pressing against this glass ceiling, right? They're having sales of their product, they're having a lot of good stuff happening, but they want it to happen either faster or better, and they're feeling this glass ceiling. They're feeling that their sales have plateaued and they cannot scale their business. So for example, I was working with one of my clients of one small coaching program that I manage, and we went through his funnel, right? He was getting a lot of sales for this digital product that he had, and he was getting a decent amount of sales. He was doing well, but he wanted to do better. So he came to me, he joined my consulting program and whatnot, and we went through all of the stuff that was happening for him. And one of the things we found is that, you know, he has reached this state where he was getting sales, he was getting stuff happening, good stuff happening on his funnel, but he was just getting, you know, a little bit bored. Like, the reality is that we're entrepreneurs, we want to either be tweaking things or, you know, like be fixing stuff and launching stuff, that's really, really exciting. Whenever you have a new project, you know, you might have felt this in the past that you have a new project, you launch it, everything's working and things are amazing for a little bit. But then the reality is that, you know, then maybe, you know, sales start trickling in and then you just, you know, go by the day-to-day operations and whatnot and you feel that you could be doing better but you just focus on something else and then you get distracted and then you launch this new thing and whatnot. So you have this thing that could be doing much better if you haven't been distracted. So that's exactly what happened with this client. The reality is that this client got this funnel to a stage where he was doing really, really well. He was getting profitable. I think he was spending like anywhere between $10,000 to $15,000 per month on ads, and he was turning a return on profit. I think it was like 2:1 ROI on his ads investment. So that was awesome. But he actually, you know, pivoted. He launched a new product and whatnot, a new high-ticket product and he came to me because he wanted to scale his first funnel. So we went through this and I asked him, all right, so what happened with this funnel? Why did you decide to pivot? Why did you decide to go ahead and do something else? And he said, well, you know, I got a little bit bored. He was honest. I got a little bit bored, I got a little bit overwhelmed, I didn't know how to scale this, this has plateaued, I tried a couple things but then I decided to just go with something else. And the reality is that this is a thing that a lot of entrepreneurs find I fight this myself too, but the clients come to me because they're either too busy with their day-to-day operations and they need that breath of fresh air, right? They need that fresh look on their business. They need that outside look that will help them scale and will help them pretty much tell them what they need to be focusing on so they can turn around and focus and that's it and scale their business. So that's exactly what I did for him. I actually advised him on, listen, if you're getting a little bit bored or if you're getting a little bit overwhelmed, the best way to go is not to try to reinvent the wheel and try to launch a new product, but actually try to find new verticals to actually launch this product or to get more people through your funnel. You don't need to reinvent the product, you don't need to reinvent actually anything. In fact, what most big companies do is that they might find a new way of getting people. So for example, I advised this software company and they had this core software, right? It was a landing page builder, so they had this core software that they were selling. But the main focus and the focus of their CEO, instead of going out there and trying to launch a million different things, what he did was to launch additional products that will take people into his software product. So for example, he would launch, you know, it was a landing page builder, so he would launch a script, a tool that will allow you to kind of script your video sales letters and your sales letters and whatnot. And then he would write a book. And then he would launch that and he would try to make that profitable so he could make client acquisition profitable on the front end. And then on the back end, he would sell his funnel and his funnel builder and whatnot. So if you think about it, the main problem with a lot of entrepreneurs is that, is that they get distracted. But instead of getting distracted with, you know, other projects that might not have anything to do with your original project, or, you know, a brand new product line that might not have to do with with your original baseline and your original product, try to think in ways of how you can actually go out to the marketplace and sell the same product from different angles. So what I helped these clients to do is to actually develop a book funnel, and the book funnel is a funnel that, you know, not only will position yourself as an authority, but also has upsells and downsells that will allow you to acquire a new customer at a profit, and that's what a lot of big businesses are doing. They're acquiring customers at a profit, and then they're pushing whatever they have on the backend. So not only we could acquire acquire more customers for his main offer, which was, you know, this digital product, but also we could scale his ads because now he was kind of breaking even or better on the front end and now he can dedicate a lot of resources to growing his back end. So he went from being frustrated and overwhelmed and thinking that he could actually grow his business a lot faster to actually being really engaged and really excited because now he had his proven product or service that worked really well, but now he could focus on developing new products and new services that could go on the front end, and then he didn't have to pivot and he would keep on solving problems as the good entrepreneur he was. So if you're feeling like this right now, if you might have achieved some sort of success, right, you're getting sales, you're getting a little bit bored, instead of just trying to go out there and figure out a completely brand new problem to solve or launching a completely brand new product that has nothing to do with your original brand, there's basically 2 options and 2 roads and paths that you can take. Option number one is to develop additional verticals, meaning you already acquired a customer, say, that is interested in launching their online business. That's their main interest. Okay, what else can you offer to them? What other things you can offer to them? Is it software? Is it consulting? Is it like, what is it done for you? What is it that you can offer to them so you can actually tap into that audience that you have already paid for. And number 2, think about front-end products. Think about stuff that will be complementary or additional to the product that you're selling so you can develop these additional funnels and you don't need to be distracted with whatever it is you're working because, you know, we're entrepreneurs, we like to fix problems, we like to solve problems. It would be better if we just focus on that. Now I hope that you enjoyed this video.
