How To Develop Products That The Marketplace Actually WANTS To Buy

Hernan Vazquez shows how to beat Facebook's algorithm by posting consistently and using the EdgeRank snowball effect. He shares data from his own page proving that posting frequency drives reach, and demonstrates what happens when you stop posting: zero engagement.

Facebook, what's up baby? How are you guys today? Woo! Let's go! How are you guys? Hope you guys are super well. Hope that you guys are enjoying all of this little stuff that's coming up on screen right now. All right guys, welcome to this livestream. Today is the 14th. Of February. And you know, the more I try to make these lives, the more they get delayed. I had to delay this for, I don't know, a couple times already. But anyways, we're here. What's up, Facebook? How are you guys doing? Welcome to this livestream. Now if you want to get notified, check this out. If you want to get notified every time I go live, all you need to do right now is to go to hernanvasquez.com/notifyme over there. Bye-bye. And then if you want to join the free Facebook group, all you need to do right now is to come to hernanvasquez.com/facebook, and that will redirect you to the Facebook group. It's there right now. What do you know? Okay, yeah, I mean, I've been playing hard with this livestream, baby, and I've been playing hard. I've been playing hard, hard, hard. All right. Now the reality is that I had to push out this livestream like 3 times. You know, I was supposed to go live like 45 minutes ago, and then I had a call with my good friend and mentor, Brad Bearden, and who's a guy that I really, really admire. By the way, if you're not following Brad around, I know that many of you guys that are watching this right now do follow him, but if you don't, go follow him because he does these livestreams and he has some fire within him. Which is pretty, pretty awesome. And I love that dude. I love him to death. All right, what's up Facebook? How are you guys today? Hope you guys are super well. Hope you guys can hear me all right. You guys can see me all right. We're doing some really cool stuff today. And let me actually check it out if we have any questions, whatever. If you have comments, if you have questions, post them on the, on the, on the comment box. And right now we're gonna be doing that question and answer things as we go. And, uh, but in the meantime, I want to tell you guys a little bit about how to increase your organic reach on Facebook, okay? Why everyone is saying that organic reach is dead, and something that we have found which has been pretty cool is the fact that we have— we can actually kind of trick or tickle, tickle the algorithm. I would say we're gonna learn how to tickle the algorithm so that I can show you guys how to do that if that's what you want to do. But first, let me actually open my page real quick because again, it's been a crazy day and I wasn't able to open the page in advance as I'd like to do. So let me actually go to the insights and actually let me show you how I get to this page. So we're gonna be talking about how to tickle the algorithm so that you can get more engagement. Now with that being said, I strongly suggest that you go ahead and get a copy of my brand new book Perpetual Profits, which you can get by going to perpetualprofits.net if that's something that you want to do. All right, so let's hop into this screen right now. Look at that baby, that looks awesome, doesn't it? I've been tinkering with this all day. I'm not sure if that's worth it, but that's what I've been doing. So here we are on the computer. Let me share with you something. On your page, go to your Facebook page, okay? Not right now, but later. Just take some notes right now. Go to your Facebook page and go to the Insights section. On the insights section, you will be able to get a— you will be able to get all of this stuff, which is really good stuff for your page, all right? But this is something that I want to mention to you guys, okay? Let me actually see all posts. And here's the thing. These are lives that— and this is the live that we're running right now, okay? 171, 63 engagements, so people are going crazy about this. Can you believe it? I'm gonna tell you guys how to do that in a second. But here are the livestreams that I've been doing without this little trick that I'm about to tell you, okay? 93, 0 engagements. Boo. Then we have like, I don't know, this one, 126, 21. Boo. But take a look at this too. 419 organic people, 0 paid. I didn't make any advertising. Look at the engagement rate. This is nuts. Okay, so we're kind of tickling the algorithm to achieve this. Okay, so I'm gonna tell you guys how to do that right now. Does that sound good? All right, awesome. So Let me actually go through the questions. I don't, I don't know if we have any questions, and for whatever reason, I don't think I can see them. Let me actually see if I can, uh, if I can refresh this little thing right here. And, uh, yeah, all right. Brad's crazy in a good way, Nathan say. Brad's, Brad is awesome. Brad is awesome. What's up, Luis? How are you doing, my man? Yeah, smash that like button, baby. All right. So here's what we're gonna be talking about, the Facebook algorithm and how to tickle it. All right, the reality is that I made this test a while ago. I made this test a while ago where I was, I was consistently posting every day for, I don't know, 30 days. Okay, I was consistently posting every day for 30 days on my personal profile. Okay, and something funny that I found is that the more I posted there, the more engagement I got. Okay, so that is something that you can relate as well. The more you post on Facebook, the more engagement you got. The more you post on Instagram, the more engagement you got. Now, funny thing is this, that after 30 days of straight-up posting, I would get like comments with— or posts with 300 comments or something crazy like that. I have 5,000 friends right now on Facebook, so, you know, you will get more and more people showing and getting the algorithm there, okay? Showing, showing it to the algorithm. But here's something funny that I did, okay? Just to kind of counteract this, I stopped posting. Like, from one day to the next, I stopped posting at all. I didn't post for, I would say, another 12 days or 15 days, okay? So 12 to 15 days, I didn't post anything. I was having some momentum already. I didn't post anything. Guess what happened when I came back and posted again on my page, on my Facebook profile? I got zero reach. Zero, zero, zero reach. Nada. The reason why is because if you want to get more consistent engagement with your page, you have the edge rank. What it does is like a snowball effect. The more you post, the more people engage, the more those people that engage will be shown your content, more and more content, and then they might share it. And then people are— and then the Facebook algorithm is saying, okay, so this guy's posting, okay, this guy's posting, we're gonna show him to some more people. And then some more people see it and some more people engage. So at the end of the day, if you do this consistently, you will end up having really, really good results. But the reality is that most people get discouraged before getting to the consistency level, before getting to that tipping point where you are able to actually get all of this momentum built up. If you go live today, pretty— I'm pretty sure that you will see yourself live on the screen, and then maybe your mother will tell you, oh, you look so beautiful, and then maybe your aunt, and that's it. Okay, unless you made like a fake Facebook profile for your dog, nobody's gonna see you, and that's completely fine, right? That is the way that Facebook works right now. So the way you want to go ahead and tickle the algorithm is by number one, giving out good quality content, which is something that I've been talking to you guys about for quite a while, but also number two, to actually do this consistently. Do not get discouraged. I talk about getting discouraged. Do not get discouraged. Now of course, for Facebook pages on this case, right, For Facebook pages, what you can do is to put some money where your mouth is. That means run engagement campaigns or even boost a post. Just hit the boost a post button for $5 for a week and you will double or even triple the engagement, all right? And guess what? Some of that engagement will trickle back to your normal posts. So if you make really good live videos, you post them, you boost them, you make really good live videos, you post them, you boost them, blah blah blah, then the snowball effect will be faster. But a lot of people don't want to spend money. That's up to them, okay? They might not think that their, you know, messaging is worthy enough for them to invest in their own branding or whatever. But that is something that you must, must do. So for instance, you know, I would just— I was discussing with a consulting client what would be a best idea. What should I start? I get a lot of— so for instance, we get a lot of good feedback on one page, right, on a Facebook page, but we wanted to kind of make a branding change. So he asked me, hey, should we launch a new branding page? Should we launch a new Facebook page and try ads there? Always talking about paid media. And I told him, why would you do that when you have so much good engagement and high relevance scores and all of this stuff, all of this momentum on this page? You know, last resort, go ahead and launch a that those ads from a different page. Granted, even if your ads are the same, the cost per lead, the cost per click, the cost— the CPM will go up just because of the fact that this other page doesn't have this momentum, this snowball effect that the first page has generated for you. Okay, so if you want to get some of these results, what you want to do is to always be consistent, always be posting to where— to, to a point where you know, your, your audience is there and your audience is, you know, enjoying the messaging and whatnot, and then you will get results. All right, so that is something that I want to relate to you guys. Be consistent with this. What's up, Lloyd? How are you doing, my man? So be consistent with these because this is like really, really important in terms of engagement. There's some tricks that we are also testing with and whatnot, and as you can see, I'm playing really, really hard with this, uh, lace layover and whatnot. And, uh, it's pretty cool. What do you think? Okay, let me, let me know in your comments below if you saw these. If you're watching this live, put live on the comments below. Let me know if you're enjoying these live streams. Let me know because I think it's pretty cool. Now with that being said, also don't forget to get a copy of my brand new book Perpetual Profits, which you can do by going to perpetualprofits.net. If you want to join the Facebook group. All you need to do right now is to go to hernanvasquez.com/facebook, and that will take you, redirect you to the Facebook group. All I ask is that you answer the 3 questions that are there because they're really important that you answer them. That's why, how, how we weed out most of the spammers that come and try to spam the group. And you know, they, they still think that that works, by the way. Shame on them. And then the other thing that you can do is to go to hernanvasquez.com Notify me to get notified every time I go live. I'll notify you via Messenger bot, okay? My bot will send you a message whenever I go live. All right guys, so I hope that makes sense. I don't think we have any questions for the day, which is fine. I hope you guys are having a super, super, super day. Let me see, let me refresh because sometimes I get some comments and I miss them. The comment, the comment moderation here is not the best. All right guys, so I don't see any questions. Thank you for hanging out with me once more. I'll see you guys on the next livestream. Bye-bye.
