How to Get Paid To Learn New Skills? - Hernan Vazquez

Hernan Vazquez breaks down three ways to get paid while learning: take a job in your target industry and use the salary to study the trade, serve clients while experimenting only on your own sites, or build your own products where every win and failure teaches you something. He scaled from a non-related job funding SEO education to a six-figure business by treating each step as paid learning.

Hey everybody, what's up? On this video I'm going to show you how to get paid to learn. That's the dance of getting paid to learn. Hey guys, what's up? Hernan Vazquez here. Welcome to another video and sorry about me dancing a little bit ago. I promise I won't be dancing Anymore for your viewers' delight. Now on this video, I just wanted to talk real quick on how to get paid to learn. In short, or in other words, how you can be paid to screw up, which is pretty cool. Now what do I mean with getting paid to learn? Usually if you live in the States, you need to pay to learn, okay? You need to pay to go to college. You need to pay to go to university, you need to pay to go to school, so you need to be paying to learn. You need to pay for your courses, you need to pay for your education, which is completely fine. Now when you're an entrepreneur, when you're an internet marketer, you can develop the ability of getting paid to learn. What do I mean with this? Well, there are several ways you can get paid to learn. For example, if you get a job on an industry that really, really excites you, and you can learn a ton while doing your job, you're basically getting paid to learn the ropes of that industry, okay? So for example, let's say that you get hired to manage the SEO or the small SEO campaigns for little products here and there for a company, or the entire sales funnels campaign. It doesn't really matter. What matters is that you are being paid to learn, okay? To learn how to do SEO, to learn how to do your own sales funnels, Which is pretty damn cool. Now another option is that you get some SEO clients. You apply what you have learned with them, which is what works, and do not be a jackass and experiment with your clients' websites, please, okay? Just experiment with your own websites. So with your clients' money, you end up investing in tools, in knowledge, in courses, and in basically experimenting on how to rank faster, easily, you know, more effectively, what PPC— which PPC campaigns are working, which kind of sales funnels are working. But you experiment on your own properties. Do not do that on the clients' end, please, because I've known a ton of SEOs that unfortunately do that and they do not end up so well. So do not do that. Just experiment with your own stuff. That's exactly what I did back in the day. Let me explain it. I got a job that wasn't entirely related, but I used the money from my job to invest into my SEO education. I started doing some affiliate websites, you know, I tanked a few, I got a few penalized, but it doesn't really matter because I learned. So I'm being paid to learn. Then what I did was to get a couple of clients with what I did know, what I did knew, what I did learn. That worked. So from all of that experiment— experimentation and all of that testing, you end up getting— gathering information that what works and what doesn't. So when you can replicate it, you can start selling SEO services in my case, but it can be PPC or whatever, social media services in your case, to clients. So you know what works, you know what doesn't, so you can actually give the clients results. With that money, you keep experimenting, so you're being paid To learn. Now, I think that the best way by far, instead of getting a job or instead of getting clients, is to experiment with your own products because— and with your own business. Because as an entrepreneur, we are being paid to learn every day. And the more we experiment, the more we are being paid because the more we fuck up, the more we get mistakes along the way, the more we get wins. And the more we win, the more we get paid. So in short, being an entrepreneur, you're being paid to learn, which is pretty cool and it doesn't happen that often, okay? So if you are an internal marketer, if you're a PPC expert, if you're some sort of salesman, try to be in the position of you being paid to learn. Try to think that your client, your business, your products Your job will pay for your books, will pay for your courses, will pay for your tools, and will pay for your experimentation. Now there's a point when you have launched your own products like I did, you probably partner with some people to launch your own stuff, which is completely fine. Now at that point, you're really being paid the big bucks to learn because we are always learning as an entrepreneur, okay? So this is kind of a mindset shift. You're not working your ass off for a salary. You're being paid to learn. You're not working for a client that's breaking your balls. You're being paid to learn. You're not building a business with a ton of whiny customers that, you know, they demand your attention, so on and so forth, and then complain. No, you're being paid to learn. to learn on how to deal with those clients, how to sell more, how to set up your PPC campaigns, how to hire people, how to put together your team, and pretty much how to be a better person, okay? So you are being paid to learn and to become a better person. Isn't that freaking cool? If you think it's freaking cool, drop me a comment below. Bring the cat, drop it in the keyboard.
