How To Get The RIGHT People To Click On Your Facebook Ads

In this tutorial, Hernan Vazquez explains why attracting qualified clicks on Facebook ads is crucial for campaign performance and how to achieve it with quick, actionable tactics. He outlines the negative effects of unqualified clicks—such as polluted pixel data, lower click‑through rates (CTR), and wasted ad spend—while highlighting the benefits of targeting the right audience, including higher CTR, better funnel actions, and stronger algorithmic signals. The core tactics he recommends are: (1) crafting an adamant first line of ad copy that explicitly states who the ad is for and who it is not for, thereby magnetizing the right prospects and repelling the wrong ones; (2) ensuring the ad creative (image or video) mirrors that same audience‑specific messaging; and (3) leveraging third‑party data to sharpen targeting. He illustrates these concepts with real‑world examples (e.g., ads for stay‑at‑home moms learning tomato growing, high‑end coaches seeking exclusive experiences) and shares a success story from his agency’s copywriter. Throughout, he promotes his No BS Advertising Club as a resource for ongoing coaching, campaign breakdowns, and bonuses. The video concludes with a call to join the club for hands‑on support.

So today I want to talk to you guys about how to get the right people to click on your Facebook ads, and that's really important. And the reason why it's really important because what happens when you get the wrong people to click on your Facebook ads? A couple things will happen. Okay, the first thing is that. If you get the wrong people to click on your Facebook ads, people that might not be qualified, they might not be in your target audience, they might not be in your niche. If you get the wrong people to click on your Facebook ads, that sends a signal to Facebook to actually keep on showing those ads to the wrong people. The reason behind it is because Facebook machine learning on Facebook is momentum-based. So if you get a lot of unqualified leads, you get a lot of unqualified clicks that could, quote unquote, pollute your pixel data. All right. So it's really important that you get the right people to click on your Facebook ads. Number one. Number 2, if you get the right people to click on your Facebook ads, what's going to happen is that, A, people that are qualified will visit your website and will visit your products or services, your landing pages, whatever it is, right? So the reason why you want to get the right people to click on your Facebook ads is because again, it increases your click-through rate, which is a really important metric. I talked about how important is the unique outbound click-through rate to actually make your Facebook ads better. I talked about that before, and you can find in our different channels how to make that happen. You just search for CTR, CTR, which is Charlie Tango Romeo, CTR, and you'll be able to take a look at that. Why that's really important. So it increases your CTR, but most importantly, it increases the actions that people are taking through your funnel, and that feeds back good information into Facebook Pixel, which is really important again To get the right people to see your ads. Okay. So there's a lot of benefits of getting the right people to click on your Facebook ads. There's a lot of detriments of getting the wrong people to click on your Facebook ads. And if you get the wrong people to click on your Facebook ads, what's going to happen is that you might get calls, conversations with unqualified people, people that cannot afford your services, people that cannot afford what you have to offer. You will have a high bounce rate, which are just people surfing around and leaving your website. And those are all bad signals that go back to Facebook, okay? So how do you get the right people to click on your Facebook ads? And the reason why I'm telling you guys this and I'm kind of coming out with this subject is because I've been writing a lot of copy lately for our clients, for our agency clients, okay? We have an amazing copywriter. His name is Damian and he's been crushing it for our clients. We actually hopped on a call with a client last week and he was saying that based on his ads, we were spending like half the amount of money that he was spending on ads and getting 4 or 5 times the amount of results that he was getting. before he jumped on as an agency client. So he's crushing it. But the reality is that we've grown so fast, right? Over the past couple months, over the past couple weeks, I would say. And we keep on growing the agency so fast that on some cases, you know, we're hiring new people, we're hiring help and whatnot. But I had to jump in to kind of, you know, fill in the blanks and get his back because he's doing a great job. And I really enjoy writing copy. That's the reality. That's why I have a lot of copywriters back there. You know, I'm a big copywriting fan. Those guys are pretty much everyone there. Like, I had Gary Halbert there. Well, not Neil. I don't know if Neil was writing copy, but I got Gary Halbert there, and I'm a big fan of copywriting. So one of the things that I've been doing is to write ads for our clients, which is pretty cool. I really enjoy doing it, and I write ads on a daily basis for our own business as well, right? And one of the things that I really like to do when I'm writing ads for our clients and for our business as well, and showing our students as well how to do that, is start with a really adamant first line of copy. Okay? So if you want to get the right people to click on your Facebook ads, the first thing that you need to do is to be really clear, extremely clear as to who is this for and who this is not for, right? So the reality is that the first line of copy plays a big role on getting the right people to click on your Facebook ads. So let's say that you're selling a tomato growing course for stay-at-home moms that are between 30 and 50 years old, right? So the first thing that you need to say in your ad is, hey, if you're a stay-at-home mom and you want to learn how to grow better tomatoes, read this. Or, hey, if you want to learn how to grow better tomatoes as a stay-at-home mom, here's some good news. Or if you want to grow better tomatoes and if you are a stay-at-home mom, Read this or keep on reading. That's the formula that I use 9 times out of 10 to get the right people to click on our Facebook ads. Why? Because if you're an engineer that's working 12 hours in an oil rig, or if you're working 30 days out of 60 in an oil rig, and you see that ad, that ad is probably not going to be enticing to you because I'm saying, hey, if you're a stay-at-home mom, And if you want to grow better tomatoes, click here. Okay. I was working, I was writing ads for a new agency client. He has an amazing experience for high-end coaches. So people that have an audience already, so he's targeting coaches that have an audience already and they can just send an email or say, or do a couple of posts to his audience and they will get, you know, with him on his plane and it's an awesome experience, right? And he's an agency client and And the reality is that, you know, one of the things that I'm saying on the copy is, hey, if you're a high-end coach and you want to provide a great experience to your coaching clients, read this. Like, you cannot get more specific than that. Of course, I might get a stay-at-home mom to click on my ad, right? I might get it because Facebook is showing the ad to a lot of people, right? And then deciding who's actually clicking on the ad. Based on data. But the reality is that the first line of copy plays a big role, not only for targeting the right people and being adamant and magnetizing the right people, but also repelling those people that are not a good fit. Okay? So that's the first thing that you want to do to get the right people to click on your Facebook ads is be really, really adamant in your copy. And if you're noticing that you're getting a lot of people that are not qualified, that are getting a lot of people that are just surfing around, that you're getting a lot of people that are basically not a good fit, try changing your messaging. Okay? Try changing the first line of copy because it works really well both for Instagram and for Facebook. All right? That's the one thing. And then the other thing is that your ads, your creative, right? The image or the video need to also be adamant about who you're targeting, right? One of the best formulas that's working on YouTube ads right now is to start with that. It's to start Saying who your ad is for. Hey, if you're a stay-at-home mom and you want to grow better tomatoes, keep on watching this ad. If you're not, go ahead and click the skip button because this ad is not relevant for you. Boom. In 3 seconds, I just went ahead and say that, which immediately disqualifies everyone that is not a stay-at-home mom that want to grow better tomatoes. Okay. Now you can also say that on the image. On the image itself, we're saying, for stay-at-home moms that want to grow better tomatoes, right? For high-end coaches that want to have a one-in-a-lifetime experience. For people that want to learn how to write, create, and launch better Facebook ads. That's what we're doing in our copy. And by the way, it's kind of funny to see the reaction of people seeing my ads because I'm running ads about how to run better Facebook ads, right? And if people are clicking and commenting on those ads, That means that the ads work, right? So it's kind of a meta thing that's happening on my ads right now, which is pretty funny because I get a lot of comments of saying, hey, this is an ad about running Facebook ads and the ad's pretty good, so probably the program is pretty good, right? So those things can help you getting the right people to click on the Facebook ads by being really adamant with your copy and with your messaging, okay? So again, if you're noticing that the wrong type of people are clicking on the ads, make sure that you change the messaging because that matters a lot. There's some other things that you can do to actually increase or enhance or improve the quality of the people that are clicking on your ads. For instance, one of them is targeting. We use a lot of third-party data and we show our club members how to access third-party data. What you say in the funnel, it's also really important. So make sure that you also tick those boxes. But this little tweak, both on the videos and the images and the copy that you're putting out, can change the economics of your campaigns pretty quickly. All right. So I hope that this will help. Again, if you have questions, feel free to reach out, but also if you want to have the long-term support that you need to actually make your campaigns work, including over $10,000 worth of bonuses right now that we just unlocked in the members area, including a monthly coaching call and Q&A, including campaign breakdowns of what's working right now, Those are pretty cool because I kind of crack open the funnels, crack open the ad accounts, and then I show you why and how we're making things work for ourselves and for our clients, which is pretty cool. If you want to get the support that you need, not from people selling courses, okay, but from people actually doing this stuff on a daily basis for clients, go ahead and join the No BS Advertising Club by going to nobsadvertising.club. It's not .com, it's .club. So nobsadvertising.club. There's also a link somewhere around here to join. And thank you guys. I'll see you guys really, really soon.
Bye.
