In this video Hernan Vazquez emphasizes that the single most valuable asset for any online (or offline) business is an email/contact/purchasers list, not social profiles, SEO rankings, or paid ads. He argues that relying on platforms like Google, Facebook, SEO, or PPC is risky because accounts can be banned or algorithms changed, which can instantly cut off traffic. By building and nurturing an email list, businesses become their own traffic brokers, ensuring direct communication with interested customers regardless of external traffic sources. Vazquez outlines inexpensive tools and plugins (SumoMe, OptinForms) and autoresponder services (Mailchimp, AWeber, ActiveCampaign) that make list building easy and affordable. He encourages viewers to start collecting emails from day one, engage with his community via social media and a free Facebook group, and invites questions in the comments.

Hey guys, what's up? Hernan Vasquez here again with you. Thank you once again for watching this video. I'm really excited to be putting out this kind of content and really excited that I'm getting the sheer amount of volume and the sheer amount of support from you guys. So keep it coming. I'm really excited to be helping you out and I really like your comments, so keep them coming. Also, if you want to follow me on the different social networks, I'm gonna leave a link here or there to follow me on Instagram, maybe Snapchat. I have a free Facebook group, you know, where I try to gather people to come to discuss internet marketing ideas, SEO, email marketing, conversions, etc. It's completely free to join and you can do so by clicking on the link here, okay? Somewhere around here is going to be a floating link that will take you directly to the Facebook group so you can come and leave your questions, enjoy the fun, etc. On this opportunity, I want to talk about the number one asset that any online business can develop. And no, it's not your social profiles, it has nothing to do with your website, but rather is how you can become your own traffic broker without having to depend on anything else, nor SEO, nor PPC, nor nothing to actually bring you sales and bring you traffic. So let's dive right into it. Number one asset of any business, online or offline, is— I will answer you without hesitation— that is your email list. Or even better, your contact list or your purchasers list, your clients list. Those people that have raised their hand and said, yes, I'm interested in your product, I want to leave you my email so that you can contact me afterwards. That's your number one asset. And on some cases, I come from an SEO background, I have been doing SEO for pretty much all my life and there are people skating downstairs as you can probably hear right now. But the thing is that I come from an SEO background, and the thing with SEOs is that we can put up an affiliate website in pretty close to nothing, you know, in terms of money, in terms of time. We can put up a website real quick, we can rank it real quick, and we can make— we can turn that into a money-generating asset real quick. But that's how far our thoughts will be when it comes to generating an asset online. Now on the other hand, PPC people, since they are paying for each dollar, they need to have a positive ROI, return on the investment, for every cent that they put in, okay? So they have everything figured out in terms of collecting emails and having a positive ROI. SEO people, we are kind of nibbling into that and now we have started to make it really count. My point with this is that it doesn't really matter what kind of traffic you're getting, like social traffic, organic social, if you have a big Instagram profile, if you're big on Snapchat, if you have a big YouTube following, if you have a big website, whatever you're trying to do, if you're doing SEO, if you're doing PPC, Facebook, AdWords, whatever you're trying to do, From the first second your business is online, you need to start generating your email list. Because let's be honest here, you can be spending a ton of money on Facebook and they can still ban your Facebook Ads account. It has happened to me in the middle of a big launch, okay? So I know it hurts. You can be getting a ton of traffic from Facebook or from, you know, organic or viral publications, etc. But at any point in time, that can dry up. You can get a ton of traffic from SEO being ranked on page number 1 or top of page 1, and there are countless examples of people losing their business because Google changed their algorithm and then you're screwed. So the best way to avoid all of that is to be your own traffic broker. And I cannot stress enough the importance of having your own email list, and not only your own email list, but a strong relationship with your subscribers. So from the minute you set up your website, there's a ton of tools like SumoMe or OptinForms, which are free plugins, um, an email autoresponder service like Mailchimp, AWeber, or ActiveCampaign. They are really, really inexpensive. We are talking about $10 a month or something like that to have 1,000 contacts or something like that. So there's no excuse for you to start gathering your email list. You know, there's— it's as simple as having sign up here to get more news, etc., and people will actually sign up. And the good thing is that that's actually people that they care about your business and they want to move forward with you. So now you know, guys, start generating your email list right off the bat. It doesn't matter what kind of traffic you're getting. If you want to build a long-term business, you need to start collecting emails right off the bat. Okay guys, if you have any other questions whatsoever, you can drop them on the comment below and I'll be more than happy to help you out solving them. Thank you guys for watching and I'll see you in the next video. Bye-bye.
