In this video Hernan Vazquez thanks his audience and tackles a common question: whether a website is necessary to earn money online. He explains that beginners can start making money without a website by leveraging existing platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, or Snapchat to build an audience and sell products. He warns that these platforms are owned by third parties, meaning creators are merely renting space and risk being banned or losing access. Consequently, he recommends transitioning to a personal website, which he describes as a true asset that offers full control, flexibility, and the ability to add features like retargeting pixels and multiple product offerings. He also provides niche‑specific platform suggestions—e.g., videographers should focus on YouTube, photographers on Instagram or Pinterest, entrepreneurs on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter—to accelerate audience growth. Finally, he promises a forthcoming step‑by‑step WordPress tutorial, encourages viewers to follow him on social media, and invites further questions in the comments.

Hey guys, what's up? Hernan Vasquez here. Welcome to this new video. I just wanted to take a minute to really thank you and appreciate you because it's really important for me that you are watching this video and you're commenting. I've been having a ton of support over the past couple of days, etc. So I just wanted to thank you, thank you guys for it. It makes me so, so, so, so happy. A question that came in today while doing some Snapchat which you can follow me over here and you can also subscribe over here. I'm always answering questions on Snapchat, etc. And one really, really good question that came by was, do I need a website to make money? Do I need a website to make money? And that's exactly what I'll try to answer based on my experience on this video. So let's get right into it. So the first answer that I could give you guys, if you do not have a website or if you're not tech-wise, or if you're a newbie, you're starting out, the first question— the first answer would be that no, you do not need a website to start making money online. In fact, there are a bunch of people that they do not have a website and they are making a ton of money online. Now the truth is that you need to piggyback on some sort of platforms, like for example Instagram or YouTube or Pinterest or Snapchat, etc. These platforms, they have a lot of traffic in and of themselves, and they are platforms that will allow you to generate your own audience, because that's step number 1: generate an audience, listening to them, and then figure out what they can offer to them. I mentioned this process in my book review, the Ask book by Ryan Levesque. I'm gonna leave a link here as well so that you can go and check it out. So first off, you do not need a website. However, there's a caveat to this. You can have a great Instagram profile with a couple hundred thousand subscribers, and you can market to them, and you can make a ton of money, but you need to understand that that profile is not yours. If you have a big Instagram profile, that's not yours, it's Instagram's. If you have a big Facebook page, that's That's not yours, that's Facebook's, okay? You're just leasing, you're renting a space on that area. So nothing can actually stop them from banning you, from closing you down, from whatever they wanna do, because at the end of the day, you're piggybacking on their authority. So you need to have that really clear. That's why I always suggest that you go with a website, because a website is something that nothing can tell you what to do with, okay? It's yours. It's your property, it's your asset. You can move hosting, you can move, you know, you can switch the templates, you can add retargeting pixels, you can do whatever. You can sell these products and then another product, etc. Okay, you can do whatever with your own website. Now with that being said, there is kind of a technical complication. I'll try to record a video as to how to set up your first WordPress website step by step. So that you have that figured out. However, depending on the niche you want to start, probably you want to start with some social network. Like for example, if you're a videographer, there's no better network right now than YouTube. If you're a photographer, you can upload to Pinterest or to Instagram. There are some niches that they are really visual. If you're an entrepreneur, you can upload your stuff to Instagram as well, share them on Facebook and Twitter. So depending on your niche, Some social media channels are better than others. That will allow you to build your following base right off the bat. However, what I would recommend is that shortly after that you see that your product is gaining traction, that your profile is gaining traction, that you're getting engagement, that you're getting people signing up to your stuff, open your website, set up your website, and start sending people from your social profile to your website because again, that's a way of protecting your own business. Okay, so the question would be, do you need a website to make money? The answer is no, but it's advisable. Okay guys, so if you have any other questions whatsoever, just ping me on the comments below. Follow me on Instagram over here, follow me on Snapchat, and drop me your questions. I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you guys for watching, and I'll see you guys in the next video. Bye-bye.
