In this video Hernan Vazquez argues that personal branding—showing your own face and personality online—is a key driver for increasing sales of digital products. He explains that while offline sales rely on direct human interaction, online marketers often hide behind logos, making it hard for customers to relate. By using personal profiles on forums, Q&A sites, and social media (instead of just brand logos), sharing relatable content, and positioning a real person as the face of the company, marketers can tap into the psychological rule that people buy from people. He cites examples such as his own YouTube channel, companies like Semantic Mastery, Sisuve, Instapage, and even big brands that use mascots (e.g., Ronald McDonald). For those uncomfortable being the public face, he suggests hiring a spokesperson. The video concludes with practical calls to action: create personal social profiles, share personal stories, and funnel that traffic back to the business, with links to further resources on forum and Q&A traffic strategies.

Hey everybody, what's up? On this video, I'm going to show you how to sell more of anything online. If you don't believe me, just stay here and watch this video because I'm going to surprise you. Hey everybody, what's up? Hernan Vasquez here. Welcome to another video. Now I sound— and I know that the title of the video can be a tiny, you know, kind of clickbaity or kind of, you know, I don't believe, this guy is full of shit or whatever. And that's fine, but let me prove you wrong. Now what I'm trying to explain or convey right now is that if you want to sell more of anything online, mostly online because offline, you know, you have salesmen and people and, you know, they come to see you. In your office and in your practice, whatever. Now online, the things go a little bit further because, you know, you're always behind a screen and people do not know you most of the time, and they do not get to, you know, know you until they have purchased from you. And sometimes not even that, you know. When you're an internet marketer, you just ship quote-unquote digital products. So it's kind of people— it's kind of hard for people to relate to you now. What you need to understand is that what we as online marketers can really take from the offline side of things is that people buy from people. People buy from people. People need somebody to relate to. And this is super, super interesting because I talk about, you know, how to make a ton of money and get a ton of traffic from forum profiles. You know, and also using Q&A sites, using, you know, communities. And what's really funny about it and what's dawned on me over the past week or so when this question came is, you know, that those are all people-related profiles. And when you're putting together a profile picture or, you know, if you're putting together a profile on a forum, I strongly recommend it that you go ahead and you put your own picture instead of your brand logo, okay? If you have a Twitter account like mine right here, put your own face. Do not put your brand on it. And one of the best things that I've done over the past couple of months was to start this YouTube channel and start to brand myself, you know, as my own personal brand. And this has, you know, increased a ton the traffic that my companies grow and that my companies get And my companies, you know, they are behind a logo. They are like Semantic Mastery or Sisuve or whatever. They are behind a logo. They are behind a brand, you know. And when people can relate to you, things get so much easier. What I'm trying to say here is that when you're putting together a profile, if you're putting together a branded profile, that's fine, you know. That's going to be institutional. That's going to be, you know, that's going to be all around your company communication. But I will strongly suggest that you add your own social profile to that. You know, there are a ton of examples out there of people that they run companies, but the personal profile from the SEO, you know, of the SEO, has a ton more Twitter followers or Instagram followers or Facebook followers than the company brand itself. So that's something that you need to leverage on. And this is like psychology 101— people buy from people. And this is a message that I see marketers time and time again neglect because they are trying to hide themselves behind a logo or behind a, you know, an institutional account. And if you do not want to be out there, that's completely fine, but you need to find somebody who does. You know, if you're not that person, you need to find somebody that becomes the face face and the brand of your company. You know, there's a ton of examples with big brands— KFC, you know, McDonald's. Those big brands, they have faces in front of the, um, of the brand. You know, like Ronald McDonald, he's not like the real owner, but he's, he's an actor. You know, they are— he's being paid for being the, the face McDonald's, you know, and it happens a ton of time. Now, when you're starting out, when you have a startup, when you're starting out with your business online, or maybe you have a prosperous offline business and you want to get into this online thingy, or if you are already successful online but you want to take it to the next level, be out there, you know. Open a personal profile, start sharing your thoughts, start sharing pictures pictures with your kids, you know, with some care because those are public profiles. But then again, do not be afraid of being relatable to people. Do not be afraid of actually being out there and saying, hey, this is me, this is Hernan, I'm one of the co-founders of such and such, I'm the CEO of such and such, etc., you know. So that's something that you want to do. And again, I know people that they are not comfortable in that position, but they, they have hired teachers instructors, coaches to be on that position of branding. Because again, people buy from people, and you want to capitalize and leverage on that opportunity. So have your profile on Twitter, start branding yourself as an expert, and, you know, that would be a great way of funneling traffic back to your companies, to your products and services. All right guys, I know that, you know, some professionals like doctors, lawyers They made— they make a really, really good job on this, but some other companies or markets like software as a service, you know, downloads and install, info products, etc., it's kind of harder to do that. But I've seen that, you know, when you are actually able to put a face behind a software as a service like I did with the guys behind Instapage, I think that's, you know, a great way to keep it going and start, you know. I'm gonna leave links below to how to make, uh, how to get traffic with forums, with Q&A, and you will see that there's a pattern here. And, you know, personal branding versus institutional branding, and you see there's a pattern here. And I want to share with you guys because I think this is a great opportunity for you to leverage on that if you're not, uh, doing that and if you're hiding behind a logo. Thank you guys for watching. If you have any comments Any insults whatsoever, just drop them below. Leave me a thumbs up, subscribe. I'm gonna put buttons all over the place, maybe all over my face, etc. And I'll see you guys on the next video. Bye-bye. Bye-bye.
