How to Start Making Money Online (Newbie Friendly Method) - Hernan Vazquez

In this video, Hernan Vazquez shares a beginner-friendly roadmap for earning your first online dollar. He emphasizes mastering a single, marketable skill—such as SEO link‑building with GSA Search Engine Ranker, Facebook ads, copywriting, or Instagram profile setup—by dedicating focused study time (e.g., 2 hours daily). Once proficient, he advises packaging that skill into a repeatable, low‑complexity service (e.g., setting up an Instagram profile, optimizing an article for SEO, writing ad copy) and selling it on freelance marketplaces like Fiverr, Upwork, or freelancer.com. He explains why new freelancers should charge for the service rather than the results, how modest gigs can generate multiple clients, and how to leverage those initial contracts to upsell higher‑value, results‑based services (e.g., full SEO campaigns, high‑ROI ad management). Using his own experience with GSA Search Engine Ranker link‑building packages, he illustrates how a two‑year mastery led to a steady flow of clients and subsequent upsell opportunities. The overall message is to start small, focus intensely on one skill, deliver repeatable value, and use early gigs as a foot‑in‑the‑door for larger, more profitable work.

Hey everybody, what's up? On this video I'm going to show you how to make your first dollar online. Hey guys, what's up? Hernan Vazquez here. Welcome to another video with the super production that really characterizes these videos. You know, the laser beams and the aliens and, you know, the explosions. Explosions, the tits, and everything that characterizes these videos. I'm just kidding, it's only myself talking to the camera in case you don't know and you're new to the channel. If that's your case, welcome, you will have a ton of face time with me, all right? That should excite you a lot. Now with that being said, I get a lot of questions and I have been getting a lot of Facebook ads requests lately and from people that are watching these videos. and they want to start making money online, okay? They want to start making their first dollar because I really get it. Some of the videos are for more advanced marketers or intermediate marketers or something like that, you know, that they are making, you know, that they are counting with some money to reinvest and they are making some money already. Now what happens when you're starting out, when you do not know what to do, when you have probably purchased a couple of courses and you haven't done shit with them and they are in your hard drive gathering digital dust, as one of my partners would say, uh, what do you do? Okay, how do you start? How do you start making your first dollar online? Now let me tell you my story and how I started doing this. Now the truth is that in my experience, in my opinion, and this could be totally different for you, this is the way I do things and hopefully this will help you out and shed some light on your stuff. The way I do things is like I really like to dive into a skill, okay? So back in the day when I started providing services, SEO services, I become really good and really knowledgeable into one specific set of tools for link building, okay? That's in the SEO department, how to build links and basically how to spam properties, which is not necessarily a bad thing, okay? So Let me tell you that right off the bat. But, you know, I become really, really specific in one particular tool, which is GSA Search Engine Ranker. And of course there are a bunch of people that are way better than me, but what I did was to study that skill over and over and over again, okay? So I started honing down that skill and I started really knowing the tool inside out. You know, I saw tutorials. And I broke stuff, you know, and I spammed stuff and I got shit penalized, etc. But that's fine because that's part of the process, okay? So if you study 2 hours a day any particular topic that you're passionate about, let's say copywriting or setting up a PPC campaign or setting up Facebook ads or email marketing or whatever you're trying to do, if you're studying for 2 hours a day, in 6 months you will become much more knowledgeable than many of the people that you know, okay? Because many of the people that you know, they will not focus on anything in particular. So here's my proposition to you: hone down, okay? Try to really focus on one particular skill. Let it be, you know, PBN link building, or let it be, you know, writing the best emails, or writing or setting up the best Facebook Ads campaign, you know, conversion optimization, like really mastering the sales funnel tools like ClickFunnels or LeadPages, okay? Become an expert into that particular topic, okay? Writing great SEO articles, okay? Or writing or making amazing infographics, setting up super professional Instagram profiles, okay? Growing your audience with Snapchat. There are a bunch of people, a bunch of topics that you can really dive into and really become an expert into that. And it doesn't require, you know, a ton of time because usually, again, people will not focus on that. Now, once you have that in mind and once you're getting some decent results and you can provide a service, you can package that service and sell it somewhere like Fiverr, for example. Or Upwork or freelancer.com. All right, you go out there and you offer those services in terms of a package because here's the deal, you know, when you're starting out and wherever you, you're a newbie, um, people will pay more for results, okay, than for the process. Let me explain that. If you can set up a really high ROI, return on the investment, Facebook PPC campaign, you can charge 10, 20, 50 times more than if you were just charging for the PPC campaign only. All right, now results come with time and with experience. You know what to target, when to do, uh, what not to do. Okay, if you can provide somebody with a really following, a really loyal following on Instagram, that's worth a lot of money. So, but initially when you're starting out, probably you do not have that skill that honed down. You're not that of an expert to start providing those kind of results. That's coming in time, okay? So what I would suggest you to do is to, you know, do something, something simple and that can be packaged, like I will set up your Instagram profile, I will optimize your articles for SEO, I will set up your Facebook PPC campaign, I will write the ads for your Facebook campaign. I will write your emails for your follow-up sequence. I will design your book cover. I will design, you know, your website banners, etc. And then you can go into these markets like Fiverr, my friend Alex Becker, SourceMarket. You can go into Upwork. You can go into freelancer.com. There are a bunch of different websites where you can start selling those packages. And that's exactly how I started. I become really knowledgeable and really, you know, ninja, quote unquote, with GSA, Search Engine Ranker, which is a really, really complex tool, let me tell you, okay? So if you're thinking about doing that, just have in mind that it took me almost, you know, 2 years to actually master the tool, and I'm still learning a ton of things, you know? But now I can set up a GSA campaign like that. With that being said, I started offering packages. Know, forums, on communities. I'm starting— I started selling link building packages, not rankings or SEO campaigns. That would come after, and those will be much more expensive than the package itself. But the package, or the little feat, the little gig that you can do, can bring you, one, tons of results in a little time. Two, you will be playing with somebody else's property 3, tons of different customers, a ton of exposure, and different customers that you can actually upsell them into something else like SEO. You know, those— that is how I got my first SEO clients. And 4, I don't remember, but the point here is that you need to be out there in the market offering little services that you can really hone down that can save somebody time. And if you add a ton of value And if you're really knowledgeable and if you're really an expert into that, you can upsell those clients over and over because it's super, super hard to actually get somebody to do stuff well. All right, so you're saving a ton of time not only in the fee, not only the gig, but also in terms of finding somebody else to do the same thing you are doing. Okay, so that's how I started, guys. I didn't start with affiliate marketing. I didn't start it with, you know, right off the bat with clients. I started with little gigs, little fits that then gave me the opportunity to actually have results, replicate those results into my affiliate marketing programs, and then, you know, getting the foot in the door for many, many clients. Okay, so that's how you start. Start small, start doing, you know, a little thing that then you can outsource yourself, and then, you know, offer them in a fashion that it's Um, how I put it, it's service-based, no results-based. Okay, so for example, I sold link building packages, but I didn't sell rankings. That's a whole nother story. So you can sell the Instagram profile setup, but not the Instagram profile, um, results, which are following, monetization, you know, creating a community. That's much more complex, and of course it's much more money that you can charge for those results, but that will come in time. So if you want to make your first dollar online, have this in mind: offer small packages for something really simple that you can replicate over and over again, and that will give you the foot in the door, and that will give you a ton of, of people that are actually purchasing your services and buying stuff from you, and that will be a foot in the door for many other things to come. Okay, so that's how I made my first dollar online. If you have any other source or any other approach or any other method, please tell me in the comments below. Okay, I would love to know because the main idea of this channel is that I share with you guys and you share with me and we share all together and we sing kumbaya and whatnot. All right guys, so thank you for watching these videos and I'll see you guys on the next one. Bye-bye.
