How to Turn Any Website Into an Authority Website - Hernan Vazquez

In this instructional video, Hernan Vazquez explains how to transform any website into a high‑value authority site that can eventually be sold for six‑ or seven‑figure sums. He critiques short‑term, black‑hat SEO and Facebook ad tactics, arguing that lasting success comes from building a broad, brandable domain, producing a mix of deep pillar content and shorter filler pieces, and mastering on‑site SEO. He stresses the importance of diversifying traffic sources by pairing organic search with low‑cost Facebook advertising, and of establishing both email and retargeting lists from day one, as these lists become the primary revenue engine. Throughout, he warns that building an authority site requires significant time, effort, and financial investment, but that focusing on a single large asset yields better long‑term returns than repeatedly launching small, niche sites.

Hey everybody, what's up? On this video, let's find out how you can turn any website into an authority website that can be valued on a lot of money in the future. Hey guys, what's up? Welcome to another video and thank you once again for watching these videos. I cannot thank you guys enough for the amount of comments, the love. You know, people are actually hunting me down the streets, they are knocking the door of my house. That's a lie, by the way, but It's a good thing that you got— that we guys are together right now and we are sharing this kind of value because the main idea of this channel is again to really help you progressing and making money and having good results on your internet marketing or digital marketing career, if you would. And so I cannot thank you guys enough for the comments, the love, everything that you guys be giving to the channel. Now with that being said, on this video, I wanted to real quick address something that has been kind of bugging me, or not bugging me, but it's kind of a change in perspective for the past 2 years or so. You know, I'm a big SEO fan. I've been doing paid advertising for quite a while now and I love it as well. The reality is that I see a lot of SEOs kind of trying to go for the easy money route or the get-rich-quick route, etc., etc. Which is completely fine. I have nothing against that. Just so you know, there's no get-rich-quick scheme that actually works. If you wanna get rich, you need to work your ass off. So then that's completely fine. Now the reality is that I see a lot of people trying to, you know, go for those dinky little niches or for the small and quick keywords. And you know, with a couple of PBN links, you will be on top of page number 1 and you can make a couple hundred bucks and maybe a couple thousand bucks. And that's completely fine until Google catches up and that's it. Now, on the other hand, I see a lot of Facebook advertisers that they wanna go— they go the full black hat route, that is advertising things that are not allowed on Facebook, which is completely fine because if you are aware that your business model is that, you can make a ton of money. But over the past 2 years or so, I've been slowly changing my point of view from these little dinky websites, loopholes, or little tricks into more sustainable niches, into more sustainable traffic strategies, into more sustainable business building strategies, approaches, you know. And the reality is that when you start thinking about any website as an authority website and a website that could be valued in several hundred thousand, even millions of dollars, you know, 7 to 8 figure businesses, then your, your entire perspective changes. Okay, so let's put an example. Let's say that you start with a diet blog. You start writing for a diet blog, or you set up your own diet blog. The first thing that comes to mind is the domain. Okay, you can have something like deduncandiet.com or howtolose20poundsintendays.com, which is, you know, the phrase that you have been researching on Google Keyword Planner or whatever that is, and that's fine, but the reality is that that pigeonholes yourself right from the beginning. However, if you start with a brand like, I don't know, hernansdiet.com, you know, I really need to diet as you can see, but the reality is that if you start with that, you can have a lot more space, if you would, within the same domain. Okay, so right now you can talk about diets, then you can talk about supplements, then you can talk about you know fitness in general, etc., etc. And that sets you up for to launch a big authority website. Now word of caution: setting up a big authority website takes a lot of time, takes a lot of effort, takes a lot of content, and takes usually if it's not your own money, someone else's money, or even you know if you do not have money, you will need to. Put a lot of time into it, and time is money. But with that being said, it also takes a lot of time to, you know, to recover from the penalizations or to recover from the penalties or to, you know, set up dinky website after dinky website after dinky website. So I would rather put my effort into building a big asset than, you know, a lot of small little assets, unless putting together small little assets is the big picture, and you can see the big picture, and you're building a big asset thanks to that. Okay, but that's for another video. The reality is that once you start with the correct domain name, you set yourself up for, you know, getting a big website. Number 2 is content. Content is king, and the more content— usually the more content you have on the website, the better. But a word of caution, uh, I see a lot of authority websites going out the big content route, which is great, but then you need to have some filler content or long-tail content. What I mean with that is that you can have these big 2,000, 3,000-word articles or guides, but then you will need another set of articles like another 10 or 15 extra articles that can be curated or they can be original, but they can usually be shorter and they can link back to that article or that app. Onsite SEO is paramount. So a good domain name, content, onsite SEO, those are like the 3 must things to do, you know, in order for to set up the stage for rapid growth. Number 4 is do not depend on SEO only. If you have a couple of dollars a day, you can spend it on Facebook advertising. I've been talking forever about Facebook advertising on this channel, and you can go ahead and spend that. In terms of branding, in terms of social proof, because if you start getting likes to your page, I would advise against doing a like campaign, but if you start getting likes because you're advertising on Facebook, that's like a natural effect of advertising on Facebook, then you start getting social proof. If 5,000 people like your brand or 20,000 people like your brand, that's a really true big social proof, okay? So do not be afraid to invest in advertising, paid advertising. Facebook advertising is super cheap. You can start with that while you wait for SEO to kick in, okay? So I'm talking about combining the 2 traffic sources. And number 3, super, super, super important, is to start building your lists from day zero. By list, I mean your retargeting list. That's why we're doing Facebook advertising, number one. And number 2, your email list. It's super important. I cannot stress you how important that is because the biggest authority websites out there, they're all building lists from day zero, and they will all tell you that email marketing is their number 1 source of income, okay? So just to recap, to build a really good authority website, do not pigeonhole yourself with the domain. Have in mind that you will need to provide a lot of content, and it's It's better if you divide that content between filler articles and big, long articles that will get shares, et cetera, et cetera. Onsite SEO is paramount. I have a bunch of videos on the channel about onsite SEO that you can check. Number 4, do not pigeonhole yourself again with one single source of traffic. SEO is amazing, but you also need to leverage on social media. You also need to leverage on paid advertising. And the reality is that if you want to grow your authority website as fast as possible, you need to get as many visitors as possible, and that's achieved with Facebook advertising. And number 5, you need to start building your lists right off the bat, okay? From day 0, have a capture page, have a PDF ready to go, whatever you want to do, content upgrades, doesn't really matter. Start building your email list from day 1. One, and also start building your retargeting list from day one because that can be an asset on its own, okay? And that's kind of the setup so that you can build your own authority website, all right guys? If you have any questions, if you have tried this, if you have any other ideas, please leave me a comment below because I would be super, super excited to know what you think about this. Okay, thank you once again for watching, and I'll see you guys on the next video. Bye-bye. Bye.
