How To Use Everyday Pictures To Sell More With Meta Ads

In this tutorial, the presenter shares a practical, low‑cost ad creative strategy for Meta (Facebook/Instagram) campaigns that relies on simple lifestyle or selfie images with a high‑contrast yellow background and dark overlay text. He explains how to design these 4:5‑ratio images in Canva, reuse a single value‑prop copy (“Launch and scale your Meta ad campaigns in 10 minutes for $5”), and test them in regular campaigns before moving the best‑performing creatives into Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns (ASC). The speaker demonstrates mining successful creatives from ad sets that have been turned off, showing concrete performance numbers (e.g., 5 purchases for $11.13 in an ASC, a dog selfie yielding 2 buyers for $2.67). He situates this approach within a broader rapid‑scale framework, contrasting low‑ticket image‑based funnels with higher‑ticket VSL funnels, and outlines a client scaling plan aiming to increase monthly ad spend from $700‑$900 k to $2 M. The overall message is that everyday, non‑polished images, when formatted correctly and paired with consistent copy, can drive efficient sales for low‑ticket offers at scale.

Now, the other thing that I want to share with you is this new type of ad format that I've been trying, which is pretty cool. Let me share with you because I did try this format with a couple of my clients and they started working well. It's still like image ads, you know, nothing crazy. But I launched these ads in one of my regular campaigns, right? And then as they started performing well, I brought them into an ASC, you know, as I always do. I run them on my regular run-of-the-mill rapid-scale framework campaign, right? So I run this to a broad lookalikes interest, and then they started performing well. Now, again, last week's volatility kind of threw it off a little bit, so I turned them off, but here's another point that I wanted to make when it comes to ASC. When it comes to ASC campaigns, even if the ad set itself is not working anymore, right, even if the ad set itself, you turn it off for whatever reason, what we're always looking for is for those good performing creatives. Okay, that's what we're always looking for. That ad set that was holding those creatives is not working anymore. You stop it for whatever reason. Maybe you went into the red, maybe you did some pruning, it didn't end up working. What you can do, you can still mine those working creatives. And that's exactly what I did because at the ad set level, I stopped the ad sets. I actually, I think I have like one ad set of the 3 that I launched still working, but I stopped some of these ad sets, right? But then I went in and I realized that some of these ads, some of these creatives were actually generating sales. In fact, each of these creatives generated a minimum of 5 sales, right? Even when the ad set was, was off. So I'm like, okay, let's, let's try it out. Let's run this into an ASC campaign. And this is kind of something else that I, that I noticed for another client, which I started testing these type of ads and, and they started working well. So they're really simple, ugly ads, you know, not ugly ads per se, like the way we used to do it. But these are basically Lifestyle ads. And by the way, these are— these were mostly set for, for cold traffic, right? And as you can see, I have this weird picture of me. It's a selfie, right, that I took with blue light blockers and whatnot. But this is— I think it's making the difference is this yellow background with dark letters. And it's the same copy that I use over and over again, right? So same copy that I use over and over again that says how to launch and scale your Meta ad campaigns in 10 minutes. So let's get the framework for $5. So I already know that this is a proven offer. Right. So I try this. And by the way, the main change or the little slight tweak that I made to this creative format is that these are not square images. Okay. These are 4:5 square images. So when you're setting up your, your thing in Canva, you're setting up so that they are a little bit more like tall than they are wide. So 4:5. So it might be 400 pixels by 500 pixels or 800 by 1000. Right. So you do the math. So 800 pixels wide by 1,000 pixels tall. So they are 4:5. Okay. They're not square. They're 4:5. So that's one of the things. The other thing is that these are pictures of me. But funny enough, you know, this is another that I'm here with a, with a little dog right here. I think the dog is doing most of the heavy lifting, to be honest. But as you can see here, it says the same thing. What? Sorry. Yellow background, dark letters. 4 or 5, um, you know, um, lifestyle type of picture, which I haven't used lifestyle pictures for a while. And I have this one that I took back in Punta Cana, right, selfie style. And again, the funny part is that these are pictures that work with cold traffic, right? So I launched this probably yesterday on an ASC campaign, and they started to perform really well. In fact, the little dog one got like 2 buyers for $2.67, which is pretty cool. But overall, this, uh, ASC campaign got 5 purchases for $11.13. So go ahead and try it out because again, I tried this with a client as well and it did well, right? Uh, and, uh, and now I started trying it for myself and they started doing well. So whenever you're running ads to maybe a personality, or you can get some selfies of some lifestyle ads, whatever, you can even do some, some of this stuff with AI. But, uh, but I think that the fact that front and center, high contrast. We have the value proposition, we have the price there. They're doing something. Okay, so anyways, uh, this is like the second or third time that I'm testing the top of these type of ads and they're working. And again, if I go to, for example, my Rapid Scale Framework, uh, let me actually see here. So if I do framework, um, so if I do— if I take a look here, um, well, this is just today actually. Let me— let me go back a little bit. But, um, the image, the yellow text, right? So these are the 3 Right? These are the 3 image with yellow text. I launched this on 8/22nd, so this was probably like last week, but I stopped them— or a little bit, a little bit more than that— but I stopped these 2 ad sets, right, for lookalikes and broad because they weren't really performing. It's still performing well for interest, right? So this is an acceptable cost per purchase. It's not great, but it's acceptable, right? But anyways, at this point what I'm doing is I'm just using this— I'm just using this, um, campaign as a way of testing ads that then I can go into an ASC campaign. So I was looking at today, let me show you. Yeah, so I was looking at today, let me actually share with you how this looks like. Yeah, so this is how it looks like, right? So 7 purchases, pretty good cost per purchase, I want to say, right? So $20. I think the average order value on this funnel is around $30, $35 or something along those lines. So I'll take it. All right. So go ahead, try it out. You know, simple ads like this, they're working. They're still working, especially for low-ticket offers. We're gearing heavily toward image ads. I just started working with a client and they're spending close to $1 million a month and they're not there yet. They're hovering between $700,000 to $900,000 a month. So my goal is to help them scale. And we're seeing this, right? Like for a, for a VSL funnel, most of their advertising spend is going to a VSL funnel. And I think that's the reason why they're hitting hitting that, you know, that upper limit, that upper ceiling on scale, because their cost per lead is, you know, ballooning, their cost per purchase is ballooning and whatnot. So we decided to launch a low-ticket offer. And it is interesting because on the low-ticket offer side of things, images are working way better to the degree that most of their ad spend right now, it's going on YouTube to that VSL funnel, right? So it's a, it's YouTube video to a VSL funnel, which makes sense because you're sending them from a video-heavy platform into a video-heavy funnel. The same happens with Facebook, but on Meta we are mostly gearing towards scaling with low-ticket offers. So we're launching a challenge, we're launching a couple things to increase that ad spend. I want to take them to probably $2 million a month over the next— ideally over the next quarter or so. So we're going to be gearing towards, uh, you know, spending that amount of money maybe in January, right? Because then we need to ride out the whole like um, the whole like holiday season, all that. So maybe in January we're going to be at that level, but it's going to be heavily geared towards new entry points, low-ticket funnels. But it is interesting to see because, because we're spending— we started spending $20K, $30K a month on a low-ticket funnel, and mostly images ads, it's where it's at. Okay, so try this out, give this kind of, uh, ads a spin. I created them in Canva, again, 4 or 5 lifestyle images, a little bit of text on them, uh, yellow background, uh, dark letters. You can try some other combinations, variations, and try it out. Let me know how they work. I would be curious to see how they work for you.
