Hey guys, what's up? On this video, I'm going to show you how to validate an idea before even rolling up your sleeves and trying to make your product happen. If that's something that you want to find out, stay with me on this video. Hey guys, what's up? Hernan Vazquez here, and don't you hate when you develop a product And it doesn't sell, it happened to me in the past and I know how it feels. It feels horrible. You know, you feel like really alone and you want to cuddle up on your bed and cry and do not wake up for a week and those kind of things. But the good thing is that if you love what you're doing, you can get up and do it all over again. Okay, 'cause what's stopping you? So on this video, I just wanted to share with you guys a really neat technique that has allowed me to avoid all of the cuddling and all of the crying and all of the, you know, wanting to disappear off the world before even rolling up your sleeves and getting to work on a product. Because I know how you feel if you have been working for the past 6 months on an app, on a product, you know, on a course, on a new service, and nobody wants it. Who knew? You know, your product, it's great, but they do not want it. Who knew? So what I really like about this strategy is that it can really set up the stage for any type of content marketing that you wanna do, any type of Facebook advertising that you wanna do, any type of anything, any type of lead magnet that you need, because you will be actually harvesting data from the market itself. So what I really like doing is, let's say that I have an idea for a new service or a new course, I will find discussion boards and discussion forums where people from my niche are hanging out. In my case, internet marketing, entrepreneurship, business owners. But in your case, it could be fitness, model trains, you name it, okay? Local directories or contractors or homeowners, you name it, whatever you want to do. And I would go about finding discussion boards. This also works with Facebook communities, groups, etc. And I would post something like this. I would say, okay guys, I need your help. I'm trying to create XYZ product or XYZ service. Now what I want to do is you to give me some insights, and I'll give you access to the product or the service for free once it's it's launched. Okay, when it launches. So that way you can do this with you know something like Google Forms. For example, you would put a link of a Google Form over there and let people. Tell you what they want to see inside your course, what they want to see your product doing, what needs they, they, they need solved, or what problems they need solved. And that will give you a really good understanding of what kind of product you should develop over the next couple of weeks or months. Now, the good thing about this is that you're actually going into a place where people are, you know, complaining or having issues with their own problems, whatever. They're really engaged about it. And you're gathering information right from them, right from the potential customer, okay? Number 2, you will have a ton of information to craft posts, guides, lead magnets, videos, et cetera, emails, follow-up sequences, because you are actually aiming to their pain points and their needs and their hopes and their dreams, all right? Number 3, you will be a pretty much overall badass when developing a new product. And the good thing is that you can get a really small audience, you know, of people. Let's say that maybe 20, 30, 100, 2,000 people sign up for that offer. You will have 2,000 people that you will give away your product for free. Doesn't really matter. But what's good about this is that both you have a really good audience to create a lookalike audience and to also gather you know, for testimonials, for example. And number 2, let's say that you have 100 people and your product really rocks. You only need each of those people to recommend your product to 10 friends, and there you go, you have a business. All right, you have a really good audience that you can start marketing to. Okay, so you can say, okay, I'll give you access to this, you will give me your opinion, I give you access to this once it launches, And I also need a testimonial, and I also need you to, you know, forward this email or share this with 10 other friends. Okay, and just like that, you have a business. So try to work backwards instead of going out and developing a product and presenting it to the market and realizing that nobody wants it. Try to work backwards. Try to work— try to piggyback on, you know, the traffic and the audiences that those kind of places already have. You're not trying to be spammy, you're trying to add value. This works even better if you have some clout already, if you have some following on the place. This works really, really well. But if you don't, it doesn't matter, okay? You can go out there and say, hey guys, I want to develop this product, I just need your opinion and maybe a testimonial, and I will give you access for free once it launches, okay? It has worked really, really well for me when I'm trying to go into a niche or when brainstorming with clients on how they can get more products and charge more for their services, which is pretty damn cool. All right guys, thank you once again for watching. If you have implemented this strategy, please let me know. I would love to know what you have to say.
