Is Investing In Bitcoin A Scam Or A Waste Of Time? - Hernan Vazquez

In this opinionated video, Hernan Vazquez explains why he chooses not to invest in Bitcoin and urges entrepreneurs to focus their capital and attention on growing their own businesses instead. He acknowledges Bitcoin’s technological significance but argues that, for most entrepreneurs, allocating funds to marketing—particularly Facebook advertising—yields far higher and more reliable returns than speculative crypto investments. Using personal anecdotes (e.g., a $20,000 Facebook ad spend that generated $200,000 in seven days) he illustrates the potential ROI of business reinvestment versus the uncertain gains of buying and holding Bitcoin. Vazquez cautions that diversifying into assets outside one’s expertise can fragment focus, slow business growth, and ultimately be less beneficial than scaling one’s core operation. He frames his stance as personal opinion, not financial advice, and encourages viewers to engage with his marketing community for further discussion.

Hey everybody, what's up? On this video, let's find out why I think investing in Bitcoin is a waste of your time. Hey guys, what's up? Hernan Vazquez here and welcome to another video. And I know that many of you guys are going to be hating me about this video, but you know what? I need to come out clear and tell you what I think. Now the reality is that many of you guys have, you know, been hitting me up on Facebook and Facebook Messenger and the Facebook group and whatnot. And most of you guys have come and tell me, hey, are you into cryptocurrency or are you into Bitcoin or are you investing in any kind of cryptocurrency at all? And the reality is that I'm not. Ooh, right? That's a statement. That's a heavy statement right there. But hear me out. I think that Bitcoin, such as any other kind of investment out there, it's an investment, right? It's an investment vehicle. It can be a wealth vehicle. And I'm not talking about the endless amount of possibilities that Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency and the blockchain mostly can bring to transactions and how we do transactions across the world. That's out of the question. And I think that's a great breakthrough in terms of technology. But here's the thing. Most people and a lot of entrepreneurs watching this right now are losing focus from their businesses to go and invest in cryptocurrency, and it happens time and time and time again. And it happened all throughout human history, right? You will have the gold rush, and then you will have the dot-com bubble, and then you have the subprime crisis, etc., etc., etc. The main point is that you're diverting your focus from where it should be—that's your business—to where. something else is happening, which is sexier. I understand Bitcoin is sexy. I don't know, it's now like $50,000 by the time you're watching this video, something crazy like that. And one of the reasons why I'm not investing in Bitcoin is because I 100% want to invest in my business. So if you're an entrepreneur, if you're a marketer, if you have a day job and you want to save some money into Bitcoins, that's completely fine, right? If you're an entrepreneur and you want to diversify a little bit into Bitcoin, That's fine, but I think that Bitcoin—it's a buy and hold game. The reality is that such as you know buying Coca-Cola stocks or by buying I don't know real estate—it's a buy and hold game. Now we as entrepreneurs are really really good at making money, but probably we're not so good at managing and maintaining it. That's why we need the help of experts like you know financial advisors, etc., etc. But even if that not that's not your case. The point remains, don't use Bitcoin as a way of getting away from your focus, your business. Now think about this for a minute. Bitcoin had, I don't know, it grew from $5,000 to $10,000 in 6 months or something like that, right? So I'm playing out of ear right here because I don't have the charts right in front of me. But here's the thing, if you invest in a Facebook campaign that will give you I don't know, let's say that you invest $1,000 today and it will give you $2,000 back in, uh, 30 days. That's 100% return on the investment, right? In 30 days. For example, last Black Friday, uh, we invested around $20,000 in Facebook ads and we made $200,000 back. That's 1,000% ROI in 7 days. Granted, we have been, you know, We have been working hard for that campaign, you know, gathering leads, telling you guys that we made, you know, $180,000 in 7 days. We'll be talking to you guys from internet marketing mathematics, and that's exactly not what I'm trying to do here. But the point remains. The point is that every time you invest in your business, you can have a tremendous growth. You can have tremendous results even further than Bitcoin. Like, there's no investment vehicle out there other than your business that will allow you to accelerate your income and to accelerate the growth of your wealth. You know, there's no investment vehicle like your business out there. So think about this for a minute. If you go out there and invest $1,000 in Facebook ads, and then at the end of the month you get $2,000, or maybe you get $1,000 back, but then you have leads, you have customers, you have a bunch of other things things, and then the next month, because of those customers you generated today, you will get $1,000 for free pretty much. That's a no-brainer. Nothing, nothing, no investment vehicle can compete with those kind of earnings. And if they do, it's not normal. It's like a fluctuation or it's an anomaly, right? So my point here is that for every dollar that you will be investing in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency or gold or real estate, whatever that is, that it's out of your marketing and expertise, that's out of your, you know, your core business, invest $2 back on advertising and in growing your business. That will give you 10 times more revenue for your money and your business and for your money and your time than investing in any kind of cryptocurrency from here to the future. It happened before, it happened right now. So if you have a couple thousand dollars laying out there, go ahead and invest them on Bitcoin. I'm not an investment advisor, and this has to be super clear, but this is just my opinion on how things should be. And if you're using Bitcoin or whatever kind of cryptocurrency or whatever investment vehicle for that matter, or business opportunity, to get you far from where you need to be, which is your main, uh, business, your focus is all over the place. That's why one of the reasons that many entrepreneurs See that their business is not growing. They're all over the place. They're you know they're doing their business, but then oh you know I have this potential business opportunity. Let's go and invest in that. Oh you know Bitcoin is getting to ten K, twenty K, fifty K, whatever. I go and invest in that. Oh you know I can develop an app that has nothing to do with your business, and then I can do that. And that's how we get fragmented. I understand a lot of ideas sound amazing. A lot of things sound really really good, and I think that that's a great vehicle. Bitcoin is a great vehicle for diversification, but. But I honestly think that investing back in your business, your time, your money, and for every dollar that you're spending on Bitcoin in 2018, that you're investing on Bitcoin in 2018, you would better go ahead and invest $2 back in advertising and growing your business. I think that's one of the best investments that you can do. Because think about it, this will also give you legacy, right? Bitcoin, sure, can help you make some money, can help you even double your money. That's amazing, right? If you double your money in a year, That's amazing. But if you think about it, a business will actually help you feed your family, feed your kids, feed your grandkids, feed further generations, etc., etc., etc. So this is my kind of my way of thinking, and I know that many of you guys will be hating on the comments because I'm not investing in Bitcoin. I have a video talking about why selling on Facebook sucks that I don't know, half of them are dislikes, whatever, because I'm telling you guys the truth. You cannot sell on Facebook. Facebook is a social network. You can go ahead and sell from a social standpoint, okay? But anyways, that's for another, and that's for another period, and that's for another chapter, for another video. And if you want to go back and watch that video, you're more than welcome. Anyways, guys, I just wanted to come out there and, you know, telling you guys what I think a little bit about Bitcoin, how I'm personally handling.
