THE BEST CAMPAIGN TO SCALE META ADS

Meta's Advantage Shopping Campaigns automate e-commerce scaling by feeding proven creatives to warm audiences first, then new users. After 50-150 pixel conversions, set up two custom audiences and let Meta's algorithm handle targeting. Real data shows ASC delivering $8 cost-per-acquisition versus $23 on manual campaigns.

I know that Facebook calls Advantage Plus or Advantage campaigns or Advantage things, Advantage this and that, the other thing, but this is a specific type of campaign that was only reserved, I want to say, for e-com stores. I launched some Advantage Shopping campaigns for my information products and they're working really, really well. This is, I think it's the closest that you get to give Facebook full control of your targeting, and all you need to do is to feed your Advantage Shopping campaigns with good creatives, okay? So I'm going to share the screen in a second. I'm going to tell you how they work. But basically an Advantage Shopping campaign is once you have enough data in your pixel, so I had to get to probably, I want to say 100, 150 purchases before I actually was able to make this work. So once you get enough data in your pixel, you add a couple of parameters on your ads and on your campaigns, and then you just let Facebook target everyone they want. And the way it works and the way I see this performing really well is that You're going to be using the Rapid Scale Framework and the ugly ads and the AI ads, which by the way, you have access to all of those things in the classroom. You're going to be using those things to test new creatives, right? I keep on saying that you scale with creatives this day and age, so you need to be on top of your creatives a lot. Ideally every week you will be launching new creatives, and I made it super simple for you guys to launch creatives without necessarily hiring a designer or without necessarily spending a ton of money on creatives or a ton of time on Creatives, you can either use my ugly ads Canva template, which is in the classroom, or you can use my AI prompt, which I'm having so much fun creating ads with my AI prompt with ChatGPT. So you can use that in the community, in the school community. So my goal with this, with the Rapid Scale Framework and the Rapid Creatives Framework, which includes my ugly ads and my AI ads, is to make running ads Super simple, running ads super simple. And with these Advantage Shopping campaigns, what I'm noticing is that once you have a batch of working creatives, you can give those creatives to Facebook and then let Facebook figure things out. So let me actually share my screen so that you can see what I'm talking about. There we go. As you can see, this is one of my ad accounts and I have many campaigns running here, but the ones that I launched are called ASC, right? Advantage Shopping campaigns, right? So Advantage Shopping campaigns. If I take a look, if we take a look at the results over the past 14 days, this is cost per purchase for each of my offers, right? So I have my Rapid Framework, my Rapid Scale Framework, I have my Rapid Creatives, right? And then I also have my AI Creatives. So those are my 3 entry points. And as you can see, I've been paying, you know, $23 per buyer here. I've been paying $23 here, $54 on my AI Creatives, because on my AI Creatives, uh, the average order value is a little bit higher, right? So I'm letting it run a little bit more. But if you take a look at the Advantage+ campaign, if you take a look at the ASC, okay, look at the cost per purchase, and it's way better. It's way, way better than this campaign, which is my Rapid Scale Framework. Okay, I'm going to tell you why this is the case. Okay, so this Rapid Framework right here is my campaign where I just launch new ad sets, new creatives every single week. So as you can see, I'm targeting basically the same audiences over and over again. I'm targeting my lookalikes and my interests and my broads. And then whenever I launch new ads, as you can see, I launched new ads today and I do the same thing, right? I create 3 ad sets, same creatives, broad lookalike interest, broad lookalike interest, broad lookalike interest. That's my targeting these days, right? So I keep on doing that and these are doing well, right? They're in different stages and you can go in and the typical red, yellow, green thing that I always talk about to prune this and whatnot. At $23, we got 92 buyers. In this campaign. So we spent $2,100, almost $2,200 over the past 14 days. Now if I go to my ASC campaigns, you will see that the setup is completely different. Let me take a look at this Rapid Framework. So in this case, I only have one ad set, okay? I only have one ad set because when I'm setting up automatic or Advantage Shopping campaign, you don't have a lot of targeting, right? So this is it, this is all the targeting. So you, you set up the pixel, you set up the event, you set up the locations. I'm targeting worldwide. Right? And then I'll tell you a little bit about engaging existing customers, which is super important. But then that's it. There's not a lot of targeting, right? I, I don't get targeting. I don't, I don't get to pick and choose who to target, my lookalike on it. Like, I don't get to choose anything. I just get to choose like what's my event, where I send ads to, and that's it. Okay, so I don't, I don't, I don't have a lot of targeting here capabilities. Now, if you want to run this, we're going to set up a quick ASC campaign together right now. But if you want to run this, the first thing that I would suggest is that you do a step pre— previous to that, or previous step to that, which is this. You go here, you go into your Ads Manager, right into your Ads Manager. You go here to this little like hamburger or this 3 little lines right here to the All Tools. So you click here and then you go under Advertise, you go to Advertising Settings. So let me open that in a new tab. So you got to— you go to advertising settings right here, and up in here you go here to audience segments. This is important. This is important if you want to test ASC, automatic shopping campaigns, for you. Okay, so audience segments, you go here, and then here Facebook will ask you to give it 2 type of audiences. Okay, one of them is called Engaged Audience, and the other audience here, it's called Existing Customers. So these are basically your custom audiences. Okay, so I— you go here to Engaged Audiences, and in here I just added all of my engaged audiences. So as you can see, I have all of my leads, I have my all website visitors, I have all my entire list, I have my, my Rapid Framework visitors. I think I can add some more. Let me actually see. Yeah, so these, these are the ones that I can add. I cannot add Facebook engagers or Instagram engagers, um, but I can basically add all of these, you know, my customers, my purchasers, basically my leads, everything, right? So website visitors and leads, the custom audiences that you want to create before doing this. So those are going to be your engaged audiences, right? People that have engaged with your business already. And then you're going to go to existing customers Under audience segments, and here you will put your purchasers. So you would create a custom audience of all of your buyers, right? You will export all of your buyers from your shopping cart, your CRM, and you can upload it here. You can also create a custom audience of your pixel buyers. So for example, if I click here, I go to website, right? I click next, and then here, for example, I'm gonna select my pixel, and then instead of all website visitors, I can select my purchase event. Right? So purchase event over the past 180 days, and this is going to put everyone that fires that event into this audience for the past 180 days. So these are your buyers, right? So in other words, your engaged audience is your warm traffic. Your existing customers might be your hot traffic or your past buyers. Okay, this is the first thing that you want to set up if you want to test Advantage Shopping campaigns, because when you're setting up an Advantage Shopping campaign— let me actually do this, right? So I'm gonna click on Create, and then I'm going to click on Sales, and then I'm going to click on Continue. And then here, as you can see, I can just select Advantage+ Shopping campaign, right? And then I'm going to just click Continue here, and then I'm going to go to tell Facebook, hey, what kind of event I want to optimize for, right? So in this case, it's going to be my purchase event, but I could also, uh, do a subscription or a lead or schedule. In this case, these are buyers, so subscriptions, for example. If you do a lead campaign, you can also set this up, but for lead or schedule, for example, right? But in this case, I'm just gonna use the purchase event. And then the rest, I can— I generally speaking, I just go worldwide. You can set up your locations here, right? If you have some, some excluded locations. In this case, I'm just going worldwide. That's why the CPA is generally lower, which works for me. But here's where you want to set up your audience segmenting. Right? So Facebook is going to select your engaged audience, and then it's going to select your existing customers. Then you set up the budget. I suggest that you launch this with a little bit higher budget, and that's it. You don't get to touch anything else, okay? You don't get to target anything else here, okay? So the way I see this is more like a scaling campaign, if you will, right? Because you, of course, you want to prove the offer And number one, but also number two, you want to have proven creatives. That's where the magic happens, your proven creatives. So now I can just select my creatives here, but look at what I did that made all the difference. Okay, so after I went ahead and select my engaged audiences, the reason why this works so well is because I basically gave Facebook my proven creatives. So I went back, for example, for my framework, I went back, right? I went back for the entire— like since I've been running this for the past couple months. And then I went ahead, so as you can see, put maximum, and then I select my purchases. I ordered my purchase, and then I went into my ad sets that have gotten the most amount of purchases, the most amount of volume for the best cost. So this ad set right here, which is targeting my warm audience, I spent $1,000. I got 100 buyers for $9, which is pretty good. So I go into my Ads Manager, my ad sets right here, and then I can see which one of these creatives are actually giving me the best performance. So what I like to do is I'm gonna go here and then I'm gonna click Edit, right, for this ad. And then I'm going to go here to this little arrow and then Facebook, uh, Share Facebook Post with Comments or See Facebook Post with Comments. And then I can grab the post ID of this winning ad, which by the way is just, uh, you know, as you can see, nothing, um, special about this ad. It's just a purple ad with some text in it. Uh, so I can grab this string of number, which is my post ID, and then I can keep on doing this, right? I can grab my best performing, um, ads. So let's do that, right? So Facebook posts with comments. I can open a couple more just for you guys to see. This is the same one. Yeah, so I have a couple that are really bringing in a ton of buyers. Okay, so let's take a look at this one. I have a couple of selfie ads that are doing well. So this is, this is a picture that I took in Japan. So well, actually all of these were in Japan. So this, this is doing well. So I'm just gonna grab this, right? And the reason, by the way, the reason this selfie works is because these are for my warm audience. Okay, so they already know who I am. I tried selfie ads for cold audience and they didn't work. Okay, so then I can grab some of my, my, my other ads that work well for broad, and I can see that, okay, this one got 10 purchases for $25. I'll take it, right? So you basically grab all of your best performing ads and you open them in a, in, in a tab like this. And then I'm gonna go back to my ASC. Let me recreate that. Real quick. It only takes a couple clicks. So I'm gonna go to my ASC purchase, etc., etc., blah blah blah. There we go. And now at my ad level, I can start adding my post IDs for my best performing ads. This is where the magic happens. Okay, this is where the magic happens. So I can add, for example, this ad, which is the this purple little text ad, and then I'm going to name it Purple Ad. Right? If I click the ad preview. Then I go all the way down. Oh wow, Threads! This is new. I didn't know that you could actually advertise on Threads. I'm definitely going to be testing that. But here, instead of create ad, I'm going to use existing post. I, I don't like this multi, multi-advertiser ad, so I just, I just, um, take it out. But here I can select a post, or rather down here I can enter post ID, and this is where I will put my post ID, right? I'm gonna copy it from here. From my URL and paste it here. Boom. And what this does is the post, it will retain all of its social proof, which is pretty cool, right? So in this case, it just says Meta ads are actually easier to launch and scale now than before. Get my framework for $5. You know, I know, masterful copy there, David Ogilvy style, right? So as you can see, it actually gets all of and retains all of the social proof. And then that's it, you know. So what I like to do here is once I have my shopping campaign set up, I can go ahead and duplicate this purple ad a couple times and then add the rest of the good performing creatives. So this is the reason why it works so well, okay? The reason why it works so well is because now I'm giving total complete control to Facebook to actually go out there and target basically whoever they want, you know. And since I got a decent amount of data already in the pixel, then it can still bring me buyers. So this is something that I would suggest that you do after you get, you know, maybe 50 or 100 buyers or leads, whatever it is that your main goal is. And then you launch an Advantage Shopping campaign, uh, with your proven creatives. Okay, this is important. You want proven creatives. And guess what? Since I'm testing new creatives every week right? As you can see here, I have a ton of ad sets, right? Um, I have a ton of ad sets here, right? So I'm proving— I'm testing creatives every single week. Uh, I can go from time to time and create a new Advantage Shopping campaign and just drop my best performing ads in there and let Facebook rip. Now here's another caveat that you want to have in mind, and this is why I think it works so well. Remember that at the beginning we started with setting up those audiences? This is why it's important to set up those audiences. So this is my Advantage Shopping campaign for my Rapid Framework. Look at this. So if I go to breakdown, if I go to breakdown, and then I go to my demographics right here, and then I go to my— then I go to my audience segments, right, which is going to tell me, hey, is Facebook actually targeting my warm audience or it's actually giving me new buyers? Well, here's, here's the truth. Here's why these campaigns work so well, because most of these sales, or most of these leads— so we got 65, 65, uh, buyers right here. Well, guess what? Most of these buyers are coming from my engaged audience. So this is effectively a hybrid campaign of warm and cold. The reason why this works so well is because Facebook will try to harvest all of your low-hanging fruit first, right? So that's why it's important to set up those audiences first. So that then you can see, oh wow, most of my sales are coming from my engaged audience, which I'm completely fine with. But look at the cost, $8, right? It's crazy. And by the way, if you combine this with the Rapid Scale Framework, your audiences will keep on growing, which is pretty cool, right? So, but still it got some sales for a new audience. So as you can see, it has right here existing customers, right? An audience that you define in ad account settings as people who have purchased your products or signed up for your services. So this is good for cross-selling. Right? So these are past customers that they bought this framework. Then engaged audience, which are again website visitors and all of that. But then it got some new buyers, okay? These are people that have not interacted with your products or services yet. So it got— it actually went down and got some new buyers, okay? Which I'm completely fine with. But I think the key to make these Advantage Shopping campaigns work is for you to define those audiences so that Facebook knows Hey, I'm targeting new audiences, or I'm targeting existing customers, or engaged audiences, or whatever. And then you can actually see on the breakdown here, if you go to breakdown and you select your audience segments, you're able to see where these sales are coming from. Let me show you the other Advantage Shopping campaign that I'm running. Here it is, right? So ASC Rapid Creatives, which is the other funnel, right? Same thing, engaged audience 20 buyers, new audience 17 buyers, at a pretty good cost. A pretty good cost, right? But the key here is that I gave it proven creatives. I gave it creatives with social proof. I gave it creative with traction. I gave it creative creatives using that post ID. I think that's the key, okay? So if you want to do that— now if we compare, now that I have my engaged audiences and existing audiences, it will start showing you in, um, in all of your campaigns, right? So if I go down, for example, to my Rapid Creatives, right? Since I'm excluding— remembering in the Rapid Scale Framework, I exclude my warm audience from my top of funnel ads, and these are mostly top of funnel ads. As you can see, this is heavily geared towards the new audience, right? And a little bit of engaged audience, but mostly new audience. And then unknown— it has a lot of unknowns. But this is what happens when you exclude your warm audiences from your top of funnel ads, okay, which is explained in the Rapid Scale Framework. Uh, here as well, you can see this is my regular campaign, if you would. And, uh, and as you can see here, I'm also running some warm audiences, uh, some warm ad sets. So that's why you can see that I'm getting some buyers from my engaged audience, but most of my budget is going to these 2 audiences right here, okay? So unknown and new audience. Okay, I think the unknown is because, uh, I set up the, uh, these, uh, audience segments probably like 3 weeks ago when I launched these ASC campaigns. Before that, I didn't have any audience segments. I didn't know even it even existed, to be honest, you know, in my ad account. I just figured out when I was like, okay, well, I'm gonna try some ASC. But again, the reason why ASC are working so well for me is because, um, I'm feeding it proven creatives, and it's also targeting my warm audience, okay, which is fine. I'm not, I'm not opposed to it. But it doesn't give you a lot of leeway to actually target. That's why I think it's important to still run some Advantage, like Advantage+ campaigns targeting your cold audience so that you can actually go out there and get new eyeballs with like the Rapid Scale Framework type of methodology. But then if you have built a good audience and your audience is sticking and you're getting buyers, which I know that many of you guys are, then go ahead and try an ASC because it can drop your CPA dramatically, can give you a lot of budget. Now, how do we scale these campaigns? I don't know. To be honest, I've only been running them for a couple of weeks. I'm trying the proverbial increasing budget 20% every 48 hours. I launched an ASC campaign at $100 a day instead of $50. It didn't work as well at the beginning. They do take a little bit of time to get up to speed. And all of that. But look at this one, the AI creatives. I launched it today, actually already got five purchases. And by the way, this is accurate because I'm using GoHighLevel connected with the KPI right to to Facebook. So I know that these are accurate. But look at this. It already you know it's already giving me giving me buyers for like five bucks or something stupid like that. It only spent like thirty bucks over twenty eight bucks. But then the key here is that I gave it. I gave it proven creatives. Okay, so as you can see, these are my— these are— this is one of my good ads. This is my 50 ads, which I'm freaking loving. If you're not having fun creating ads right now with the prompt, it's amazing what ChatGPT will surprise you with. But this 50 ad is working really well, and I created entirely using the prompt and ChatGPT. So feed it proven creatives and then launch it and let Facebook rip. Okay, this is the closest that we get into fully automated targeting, which is I keep on insisting that that's where we're going, right? So the Rapid Scale Framework will help you like getting out there and getting new eyeballs. And then the ASC, the Advantage Shopping Campaign, can help you, you know, turning more of those warm audiences into more customers, which is what we're trying to do here. Okay, so super excited about this feature. Again, it's kind of new to me. I know that some other people have been using it forever. Most of my budget is still going to, uh, as you can see here, it's still going to my regular campaigns, quote unquote. But this is a pretty good little add-on that you can try. And as I find out more about this, like how to scale them and whatnot, I think that increasing budget 20% every 48 hours, like you would do with a CBO type of campaign, could work really well. Uh, but anyways, I'm excited about this, so I want to share with you. Okay.
