Use a red-yellow-green system to manage Facebook ads in 15 minutes daily. Green ads have CPA at or below your target, yellow are slightly above (monitor 3-5 days max), red get killed immediately. Focus only on that one question instead of obsessing over CPM or frequency.

Most advertisers spend way too much time in Ads Manager. You do not need an hour a day. You need about 15 minutes and a simple system. I use red, yellow, green. First, know your target CPA. That's the number you need to stay profitable. Let's say it's $30. Then every ad set goes into one of 3 buckets. If it's at target or below, it's green. That means it's working and you can scale it carefully. If it's a little above target but still close, It's yellow. That means you watch it, but you do not scale it and you do not kill it yet. If it's clearly above target or it's already spent too much without converting, it's red. That means it's done. That's the system. You're not overthinking CPM frequency or trying to guess what the algorithm is doing. You're just asking one question: is this green, yellow, or red? Then you take the matching action. The deeper work happens once a week. When you're planning new tests and making new creatives. But the daily check is simple. And the biggest mistake people make is holding on to yellow ads too long because they feel like they might turn around. Usually they don't. If an ad stays yellow for 3 to 5 days and never moves to green, it's usually headed to red. And red means kill it. That's why this works. It keeps you from getting attached and it keeps your daily decisions simple.
