Hernan Vazquez says the headline and price move the needle most for low-ticket offers, not video or design. A headline change can double conversions from 4% to 8%, and a price shift can make a breakeven campaign profitable in days. Test headlines first, then price, before touching anything else.

Every week I get asked some version of the same thing. Should I re-record the VSL? Should I rewrite the copy? Should I change the design of the page? And most of the time the answer is no. Those things matter, sure, but they're usually not the reason the page is underperforming. The 2 levers that move the most on a low-ticket offer are usually the headline and the price. That's where I would look first. I've seen one headline change take a page from 4% to 8% with the same offer, the same traffic, and the same page. I've seen a price change take something from barely breaking even to clearly profitable in a matter of days. What I almost never see is a new VSL or a prettier page doing that on its own. That's why the order matters. Start with the headline, then test the price. After that, look at order bumps and upsells, then the thank you page and the follow-up. And only after that would I start worrying about the copy, the design, or the video. Most people do the exact opposite. They start with the stuff that feels important but doesn't usually move the needle the most. That's why they end up doing a lot of work without really changing the results. So if the page is not converting the way it should, start at the top, test a few headlines and see which direction the data wants to go, then test the price and see what the market responds to, and work your way down from there. If you do it in that order, you can solve most conversion problems before you ever touch the design.
