Hernan Vazquez argues perfectionism is the biggest trap for entrepreneurs. Obsessing over product details drains energy and delays launch. Instead, ship an imperfect version early, learn from real customers, and iterate. Gary Vaynerchuk proved this works.

Before diving into the actual topic of this video, I just wanted to, again, thank you guys for the amount of support. I'm never tired of getting your support, your feedback, your questions. Keep them coming. You can leave them on the comments below. You can drop me a line on Twitter, on Facebook, et cetera. I'm pretty active over there. I try to respond every comment. Sometimes I do not have the time, but anyways, I just wanted you guys to know that I really appreciate you And thank you for taking a couple of minutes to actually be watching this video. If you want them to keep coming into your YouTube homepage, or you want to have me all over your YouTube homepage, or you want to have me all over your Instagram page, or you want to have me all over your Snapchat profile, which sounds really enticing by the way, you want to follow me, you can click here to subscribe to the YouTube channel. You can click here to get me rambling on Instagram and Snapchat, etc. Okay guys, now I wanted to talk and address this question, which was, how can I stop being a perfectionist? And that's the number one enemy, in my opinion, of the entrepreneur. When you're starting out a business, when you're starting out a website, or when you're starting to sell online, whatever you're trying to do when it comes to entrepreneurship, I would suggest that you forget perfection. Now, what do I mean with this? Perfection is the number one enemy of progress. I hear time and time again a ton of entrepreneurs that they will not launch a product because it's not perfect. They will not launch a website because they keep tinkering with the font size or the logo. They keep tinkering with the Facebook header. They keep tinkering, you know, with their landing pages or with the feedback, or, you know, even if you're trying to start your own YouTube channel, you can tinker with, you know, the amount of equipment that you need. You can get a green screen, you can get, you know, those lights or the other lights, etc. And that, my friend, will suck your energy from your business. Now you need to understand that, for example, as Tim Ferriss says, we all have limited amount of energy throughout the day and throughout the life of a project. So when you are using all of your energy, all of your initial enthusiasm and fire into something like, you know, tinkering with your camera or getting the exact stage right, you're forbidding yourself and you are stopping yourself from actually promoting good content, promoting your business, and actually solve people needs, which would be your number— which should be your number one passion. So all of that energy that you have when you're starting out a business, when you're starting out a project, needs to be used correctly. Otherwise you will be burnt out. And not only that, you will think and you will believe that the project, that your idea, that the market is not responsive, that that thing doesn't work. Now how do you stop doing that? Well, Put something out there in terms of set coding. Just ship the product. If you have, you know, if you are not ashamed, there's a phrase that says, "If you are not ashamed of the quality of your first product, then you have launched too late." So what I mean with that is that you need to ship. You need to send your message. You need to be out there. You need to put something together out there. It doesn't have to be perfect. It has to be. And also know, guys, that practice makes perfection. A great example of this is Gary Vaynerchuk. Gary Vaynerchuk with Wine Library TV. Go ahead and search on YouTube the first episode of Wine Library TV and go ahead and search now the #AskGaryVee Show. You will see that there's a ton of differences because he has found his voice and now he has a team in place and, you know, things have become super, super professional on his side. Now you do not need to be that professional to actually start your business. Just ship your product, start making progress, and then you can go ahead and, you know, enhance your looks and enhance your studio, enhance your web design, your product design, etc., as time goes by, as you are actually making money and seeing progress. And that will fire you and fuel your passion to actually make that progress and to be as perfectionist as you want. Okay guys, so progress over perfectionist. If you are tinkering with things that are not bringing you any money, that are not bringing any value to your customers or to your marketplace, stop doing that. Focus on what matters the most and stop trying to be perfect because things are never perfect and that will again suck your energy from actually moving forward in the process. Okay guys, thank you once again for watching. If you like this, please share it with somebody that needs to see this, and go ahead and leave me a comment below if you wanna know more. You can ask me anything on Instagram, you can ask me anything on Snapchat. I'm pretty active on those networks, and you could have me rambling all over your social media, which is pretty cool. Okay guys, thank you guys for watching, and I'll see you on the next video. Bye. Bye-bye.
