In this instructional video, Hernan Vazquez explains the two ad formats that consistently deliver the best results for his high‑spend Facebook campaigns (often $5‑8k per day). The first format is square (1,028 × 1,028 px) video ads that use direct‑response, educational content such as webinar‑style training. These videos outperform image ads on cost‑per‑click, cost‑per‑lead, and cost‑per‑purchase, especially on mobile, and can be retargeted based on video‑view percentages (25 %, 50 %, 75 %). The second format is native‑looking square images paired with long‑form copy (1,500‑2,000 words) that reads like a helpful article or personal story. The copy does the heavy lifting, while the image looks organic rather than a polished stock photo. Both formats are run as conversion‑objective campaigns for cold traffic at scale. Hernan also shares practical tips – use square assets for mobile‑first delivery, select the conversion objective, test aggressively, and leverage retargeting or carousel extensions. He invites viewers to join his free Facebook group for further discussion.

What are the best type of ads that you can be running on Facebook right now? You'll discover that on this video. Hey everybody, what's up? Hernan here. Welcome to another video. And in this video I wanted to make or answer the question real quick of what type of ads are are bringing me the best results and what type of ads I'm running that are killing it, what type of ads should you be running and whatnot. And if you're running Facebook ads, stay tuned because this video's gonna really help you out. Now with that said, I go live on my Facebook group pretty much every week. I answer a lot of questions. You can get answers from another digital marketing experts, entrepreneurs and whatnot on that Facebook group. So it's pretty cool. I'm pretty proud of the amount of people and the quality of people that's on that group. So you can come and join. It's not as massive as other Facebook groups, But I think quality is really there, so you're welcome to join. All right, so let's talk about what type of ads I'm running that are working really, really, really well. So there are basically 2 types of ads that I'm running right now that are working really, really, really well. I would say 3, but one is like a subcategory or whatever, but let's go with 2 for simplicity's sake, and I'm gonna tell you guys what kind of ads those are. So the first type of ads that are working really, really well, and I only see it working better as we go through and as we move along Q4 when I'm recording this video, and the next— in next year, 2019, are video ads. Video ads in terms of video direct response ads. What do I mean with that? I'm running several high-spend campaigns, you know, anywhere between $5,000 to $7,000 to $8,000 per day in some cases for several clients. And over and over again, video outperforms images with a caveat that I'm gonna tell you in a minute. But videos outperform images when it comes to cost per click, cost per lead, cost per purchase, and a lot of other stuff that's going out out there. So video ads in a really specific way. Now video ads is like really generic, right? Should you be running, I don't know, a short video of your life on Facebook, or you should be running this type of ad or that type of ad? Well, I'm gonna make it super simple for you. Square videos. Meaning 1,028 pixels by 1,028 pixels. That's like the standard ratio for Instagram. On Facebook, they work really, really well. Why? Because you will notice that 70 to 80% of your traffic right now is mobile, so you need your videos to be mobile-friendly, and that's easily achieved by squaring like this. You're squaring the image, right? So I'm recording this horizontally, but you can square it so that I will be in the center, for example, and you might be seeing that on my Instagram profile from time to time. So those are the videos that are working the best. Now, the type of content is usually educational training type of content. This would be a video that would work really well on Facebook, for example. Educational type of content, meaning content that you can actually, that you're actually helping people to achieve something, and then you're telling them what your product is about. So for example, I'm using that approach on a webinar funnel that I'm running right now for a client, and it works, it works really, really well. He will jump on camera, he's great on camera, he will jump on camera, he will teach something, and then at the end, we'll invite them to a webinar, and that is having the greatest cost per lead and cost per purchase that I've ever seen pretty much, you know, over the past 6 months. So video ads, educational content, square videos work really, really, really well. Not only that, but as a bonus tip, the reality is that you can retarget people that watch 25 or 50 or 75% of your video, So you know that they are really engaged. So that is something that I would recommend that you do if you're running any type of video ads on Facebook. So the second best type of ad that I'm running are native image with long-form copy. Now, with native images, I mean images that they do not look like an ad, all right? So native images meaning people that are just hanging out, low quality, not low quality, but not professional stock type of photography. Those are like the best. Again, square images work really, really well, and usually I just post them on the Facebook page of the client and I just run that as a conversion ad, okay? Have in mind that conversion ads, you need to select the conversion objective, but conversion ads with native images and then long-form copy as you've seen on the screen. Now, the idea is that on this case, on the images, the copy needs to be really good because the copy is doing the heavy lifting for your ad. On the video side of things, you have the video doing the heavy lifting, so you don't need a lot of copy. But on images, if you really wanna go through your audience and if you really want to help them, you need to have really good copy, really helpful copy. So those are the type of ads that I'm running right now that they have anywhere between 1,500 to 1,700, sometimes 2,000-word articles that they're being written on Facebook about how to do something. These are called top tips articles, or top tip ads, and they're working really, really well. Or the other type of ad that you can run are stories, like personal stories, but in those cases you need to really connect emotionally with the audience. So those type of ads, square videos with short copy but that they're really, really valuable with a call to action at the end, number one, and number two, really long-form copy with images, like native images. Sometimes I'm pasting them on my Facebook page as you saw a little bit before earlier on this video, and those type of videos, those type of 2 ads are really, really killing it. Not to mention everything that you can do with retargeting, everything that you can do with video ads or carousel ads and whatnot. But those are my top 2 spearhead type of ads that I'm running for cold traffic at volume, at scale. So if you really want to go ahead and scale your ads, I would suggest that you test those 2. And I would love to know what type of ads are working for you. So let me know what type of ads are working for you in the comments below, or you can come and join the free Facebook group.
