Where Should Your Facebook Ads Go?

In this instructional video Hernan Vazquez explains which platforms are most effective for directing Facebook ad traffic and why. He argues that sending ads directly to Amazon is generally unwise because you cannot install a Facebook pixel on Amazon listings, you lose data ownership, and ads may be rejected. He recommends using a personal e‑commerce site (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento) where the Facebook pixel can feed back conversion data and enable custom audiences, especially when paired with email tools like Klaviyo. For website and landing‑page builders, he confirms that Facebook ads can run to Wix, ClickFunnels, and GoHighLevel, but each has integration limitations; therefore he advises supplementing them with third‑party tracking solutions such as AnyTrack or Hyros to capture pixel data reliably. He outlines the strengths and weaknesses of each platform, emphasizes the importance of owning customer data, and encourages viewers to choose the platform that best aligns with their business model while ensuring robust tracking.

So the platforms that we use to actually run ads And then I'm also gonna answer some questions about running ads to Facebook ads to Amazon or running Facebook ads to Wix, running Facebook ads to go high level and some other platforms. So stay tuned if you want to learn more about this. Now if you love digital marketing content, if you love advertising content, make sure that you follow, like, subscribe, share, drop us a comment, rate it, and feel free to share this video with somebody that is actually running their business on any of these platforms because I'm pretty sure it's gonna help them. So let's talk about some of these main platforms and how do you actually develop a Facebook ad strategy for each of these platforms. The first question that I get a lot from students and clients and people in our channels and whatnot is, can I run Facebook ads directly to Amazon? And the reality is that while you can, it is not advisable for a couple reasons. Number one is you want to feed data back to Facebook, right? You want to make sure that the pixel becomes smarter and smarter, and then you actually own the data because you're paying for advertising, so you want to own the data. That is the main downside of running ads directly to an Amazon product or to an Amazon page is that number one, you cannot install a Facebook pixel on your Amazon listing. You can't. So you don't have the feedback that you need to actually optimize your campaigns. And also number 2 is that you do not own the data. Amazon does, right? So you don't get emails, you don't get anything. That's the main downside that running ads directly to Amazon, to Amazon products have. And sometimes, not always, but sometimes your Facebook ads might get rejected because you're running ads to an Amazon product directly. So I strongly suggest against it. However, there's a workaround that you can implement. If you have a landing page or if you have a sales page and then you embed your Amazon products in your sales page, then there's a higher chance that you will have more visibility. Again, you cannot track sales and you cannot track a lot of data when it comes to Amazon, but let's say that if you send people to an opt-in page that then redirects to Amazon or you send people to an opt-in that then redirects to another page with your Amazon products in it, that's a far better use of your advertising dollars in my opinion. Now if you really wanna go into e-com and you really wanna own the data, there's a couple of other options in this video that will really help you out. Especially when it comes to taking good advantage of your advertising dollars. The second option, which is super popular and what I really suggest that you do if you wanna get into e-com, is that instead of sending traffic to Amazon, you send traffic to your own e-commerce store. It could be Shopify, it could be WooCommerce, it could be Magento. Now, there's some platforms that are more friendly with Facebook than others. For example, Shopify is like super friendly. In fact, they're so friendly that they can actually connect from Shopify to the Facebook API And they talk to each other pretty seamlessly. You also have dynamic catalog products, so there's a lot of stuff that you can do once you have a Shopify store. It can really help your business out and you are making good use of your advertising dollars because you're feeding that data back into Facebook and it works extremely well. So Shopify is a big win. If you're running WooCommerce, there's also a big win. You can tie WooCommerce to your Facebook Ads pixel and you will get a lot of data coming back in. Either Shopify or WooCommerce are really big wins if you're into ecommerce. And then not only that, but for Shopify you have a couple of email providers like Klaviyo, for instance, which is I think one of the biggest ones that can create custom audiences based on the way people behave with your emails, which is also pretty powerful if you have a good advertising campaign running on Facebook. Now let's talk about landing page builders or website builders like Wix or ClickFunnels. I get this question a lot. Can I run Facebook ads to my Wix store? And the reality is that yes, you can. And Wix originally was— I didn't really like it, but now it's getting better. It's getting better when it comes to talking back to Facebook, when it comes to their API. So if you want to track leads and whatnot, it's really good. Now, when it comes to Wix or any other type of landing page builder, I would suggest that you use a third-party tracking system like AnyTrack or Hyros or something like that, because on its own, Wix connection to Facebook is not as strong. The same with ClickFunnels or GoHighLevel. They have their API and they can connect to Facebook, but you're losing a lot of data. So I do suggest that if you have a landing page builder like Wix or ClickFunnels or GoHighLevel, use a third-party tracking tool to actually track those results in your Facebook ads, which is the main point of everything. You want to make sure that the platform that you're sending ads to is really friendly with Facebook Pixel. But again, it can work. Like you can install your Facebook ads on— your Facebook Ads Pixel on Wix. The problem with Wix is that depending on the plan that you're in, it's not as customizable as I would like, so you cannot go ninja, if you will, with your Facebook pixel, but it can work. You can make it work. The other option which we use a lot for clients and students is ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels is really friendly with Facebook. It might take some time to load. Now they're getting better with ClickFunnels 2.0 at the time of recording this video, so that's the only downside with ClickFunnels is that it takes a long time to load, but most of our funnels are on ClickFunnels and they work really well. And again, if you use a third-party tracking tool, like AnyTrack or Hyros, it will integrate with ClickFunnels, no problem, and you can send back data to, uh, your Facebook Ads pixel. And last but not least, this platform has been taking a lot of market share lately, which is GoHighLevel. I really like GoHighLevel, especially when it comes to Facebook Ads, because it integrates everything. It integrates email follow-up, it integrates calendar, it integrates— especially if you're running service-based businesses or even brick-and-mortar businesses, it works extremely well. And they have their own API. However, what I would recommend is that you also use a third-party tracking system with GoHighLevel because I've noticed that their API tracking is spotty at best, so make sure that you have a third-party tracking that you can, you know, trigger within GoHighLevel. It's pretty cool. So there you have it, my best platforms to run Facebook ads from.
