Well, hey you guys and welcome to The Longevity Vet. I'm Dr. Kevin Toman and I'm glad you're here. I've been a veterinarian for almost 40 years and here are 4 things that you can do at home to reduce your arthritic older pet's pain. First off, help them lose weight. Every ounce of extra weight will create extra pain for your pet. Secondly, eliminate stairs from their path because every time they go up and down a set of stairs, they are hurting themselves. Third, eliminate jumping into and out of cars or onto and off of furniture for the very same reason. Fourth, maximize their traction. If you have hardwood or tile floors, you have undoubtedly seen your pet slip and fall, and you can eliminate this with rubber-backed throw rugs or yoga mats placed wherever they change direction. Listen, I'm Dr. Kevin Toman, and I want to help your pet live their longest and best life. If you're along for the ride, come join me at The Longevity Vet.
