Help Your Pet Live Longer with Fisetin

Dr. Kevin explains how senescent cells accumulate in aging pets, causing inflammation and decline. Fisetin, a fruit-derived supplement, removes these cells more safely than other senolytics like dasatinib or quercetin, potentially extending your senior pet's life.

Hey you guys, and welcome to helpingpetslivelonger.com. I'm Dr. Kevin, and I'm glad you're here. Today we're going to talk about Fisetin and senolytics in general for our pets, so let's get to work. What are senolytics, you ask? Well, that's a darn good question, but before I answer that, let me tell you what their targets are. As our pets age, or as certain veterinarians age, a percentage of the cells in our body simply stop working. They don't die, they still consume food, but they no longer do what they're supposed to do. They no longer produce what they're supposed to produce. And these cells are called senescent cells. The important part is that not only are they consuming energy, but also these cells have been proven to reduce substance, to produce substances that can irritate, inflame, or sometimes even poison their neighbors. And we think this is one of the ways that cancer can start in our pets' bodies. And so the moral to the story is we need to get rid of these cells, these freeloading cells that are doing nothing but eating, uh, our food and poisoning our neighbors. And the best way to do that is with a class of drugs, a class of supplements called senolytics. There are 3 different compounds that have been proven effective in eliminating senescent cells from our pets' bodies. One is a drug called dasatinib, but it's actually a chemotherapeutic drug, and why in the world would we use a chemotherapeutic drug to eliminate snoozing cells from our pets' bodies? That just doesn't make sense. The other two are natural supplements. One is a product called quercetin, and then the third is our— is the one that we use, a natural supplement called fisetin, which has been proven to be one of the most effective ways to eliminate senescent cells from our pets' bodies and is absolutely safe because it's derived just simply from fruit. And so if, if you are interested in optimizing your older pet's health, we need to help them get rid of the senescent cells that are doing nothing but consuming energy and potentially poisoning their neighbors. This is where the natural supplement Fisetin comes in for you and your pet. If you have any questions about the use of Fisetin, or for that matter, any other health topic with your pet, please feel free to reach out to me via email at DrKevin@TheLongevityVet.com.
