Vanessa Van Edwards breaks down how millennials and Gen Z read body language differently. Millennials lean in and ask "Do you like me?" Gen Z leans back, plays it cool, and asks "Do I like you?" That shift changes how you need to approach each generation.
I'm curious, how does body language change throughout the different generations? Most body language cues are universal. There are a couple cultural differences, and there are slight age differences in how we interpret. For example, millennials, we tend to be very much, "Do you like me?" We lean in, we have lots of expressiveness, we raise our eyebrows a lot, we love a big facial expression. My Gen Zers, they're more like, "Do I like you?" Ah! It's okay. They're a little bit more leaning back, they're gonna play it cool. So for them, you might have to warm them up a little bit more, right? You have to work a little bit harder. And your millennials, they just wanna know if you like 'em. Just tell 'em you do.
